Chapter 1073: Trozone Trouble (Part 1)
Since returning from the others, Anna hadn't really been doing much. It was usual for her to feel a little left out and, more often than not, even in the past when she was a part of Alter, she would go on missions alone.
Yet, she didn't really have her place now. She knew Charlotte well from working together, but without Himmy leading them like they used to, the relationship between the two felt a little strained.
The bond, or what they had in common, was no longer there for them. Equally, although she had helped the young students, they were far too stupid at times for her to even talk to them for any length of time.
If she was honest with herself, those she got on with most were the Crimson Crane, but they already had their well-established group, having been clan members for a long time.
It was a bond she didn't really know about.
"Hey!" Alba shouted as she walked down one of the streets of Flendon. The town hadn't rested since the attack, and even more was going on.
On top of that, the city itself had been expanding, with more people wanting to move to the area due to the Dark Magus being in control.
Since he had protected them from a general attack from the city and Sha Mo, the Dark Magus felt untouchable. So Pagna warriors and regular citizens now felt like Flendon was one of the safest places for them to live.
"We were about to head over to the other clans to ask about the artifacts and items. Since you used to be part of Alter, I thought you might know which are best to head to," Alba said. "So I was wondering if you wanted to come with us."
"The clans? Those in the Demonic Faction?" Anna replied. "The larger clans have all been invited to the current event. I believe Rayna will have that under control.
"Besides, as an agent, we never really did explore the Demonic Faction much, so I wouldn't be much help."
Alba inwardly sighed. She had often seen Anna just roaming the streets, walking up and down doing nothing. She too had noticed how alone Anna had been and wanted to invite her along.
"Right, right, so I guess the Dark Faction would be better for you to head to. The teleporter that Raze has made is done, but he rushed off to do something else from the looks of things. So if you want to head to the Dark Faction, go ahead. I saw your friend enter as well."
"Friend?" Anna replied.
"You know, the one that looks like you? His name was Zon, right?"
"Ah, the captain," Anna replied. "I guess I should speak to him. If he headed to the Dark Faction, there must be an important matter, and I assume he has a lot on his mind."
"Right, so why don't you co—"
"Which is why I would be the perfect person to go and comfort him in his troubles. Thanks for the help." Enjoy exclusive adventures from My Virtual Library Empire
Before Alba could say anything else, she saw Anna strut right past her, heading straight for the town hall, leaving Alba herself to feel like maybe she was the lonelier one out of the group.
When Anna arrived, she noticed that things in the town hall had changed slightly. There had been some reconstruction to make the area bigger.
There was a general meeting hall, an area where citizens could voice their concerns. A strategist meeting room where they had gathered earlier in the day with the map of Pagna.
There was the second floor, filled with temporary rooms for them and others to stay in. When going to the more private sections of the town hall and following the signs, Anna eventually found the teleportation room of sorts.
She headed inside and could see the magic circle grooved permanently into the ground. Around it, the outside looked as if it had been painted over.
When she walked ahead, she noticed a large container, almost like a box filled with power stones, with a note written on top.
[Using the teleporter costs two power stones. Make sure you take four if you plan to go there and come back. There should be a box like this set up on the other side.]
[This teleporter takes you directly to the academy. Guards on the other side are aware of who is allowed to use the teleporter. If using power stones, please make sure to replace power stones in the crate, or you will be at the bottom of the list when creating weapons. —Dark Magus]
"These words say they're from the Dark Magus, but it sounds more like they were written by that Fixteen guy. He seems like the type of cheap person who cares about a few low-level power stones."
Anna did as told and took four power stones. She then walked into the center of the teleportation circle.
"Now what?"
The crystals in her hand started to glow brightly until they began to break down into small dust particles and fell to the floor. At the same time, the magic formation started to light up.
A bright light blocked her view, and when the light began to fade, she could see herself in a dark, gloomy, wooden-floored room.
"This is the Dark Faction that I remember," Anna claimed. "Still, Raze made that magic circle fairly quickly, but he's nowhere to be seen. I wonder where he went?"
"What could he even be doing anyway? Is he in the Dark Faction right now?"
Although Anna was somewhat curious, she was more focused on the captain. She hadn't had a chance to speak to him much since he had returned.
Hearing about the troubles they had run into, there was a person that sounded a lot like someone she knew.
'If that man really is Red… then I have a feeling I know why Zon is acting the way he is right now… I wonder if he's decided what to do?' Anna thought.
