Chapter 1207: The Battle Starts (Part 2)
The destruction from the Dark Magus was continuing, the giant tornadoes filled with lightning were attacking everyone left and right.
People were trying to move to use what small artifacts they had to take it down, while there were also warriors that were fighting with their Qi attempting to attack the magic.
However the power of the magic was just too strong. On top of that, the Dark Magus appeared to be keeping an eye on things.
If an individual with strong Qi or magic was moving toward the tornadoes he would strike at them, killing them in a single blow.
A large number of lives were being lost quickly, every moment passing it felt like hundreds were being killed and there wasn't a single thing any of them could do about it.
"Should we move in?" Kawak asked standing on the wall. "With our weapons we can at least put up a fight with the Dark Magus, and then the other warriors can push and deal with the rest.
"Right now, only our side is being hurt in the attack."
Cicle and Impress agreed as they were ready to draw their weapons but when they looked at Heino, he was calmer than he was before.
"No..." Heino said. "This is war, this is not a simple fight. I have been in my fair share of fights and rushing is never the best option.
"There are still numerous strong individuals in that group of his, we can't just focus on the Dark Magus, we have to leave him be."
"Leave him be!" Impress shouted. "If we leave him be, he's going to destroy the whole army, and then what do you expect us to take all of them on!"
As Impress moved towards Heino it was Red that then stood in her way.
"We were all there when the Dark Magus attacked the Alter base." Red explained. "Do you think we came here without any preparations at all? Heino knows the Dark Magus' power and what he's capable of. He predicted this would happen just not this early."
Heino still with an unpleasant look on his face, looked out at the Dark Magus, but when he placed his head down towards the floor, away from the sight of the Dark Magus he had the largest smile on his face.
'Keep on, keep on using your magic like you have been, use up all your energy now, thinking you're going to be ahead…this will be your downfall!'
Lifting up his head again, Heino kept the frown on his face, as he had his feelings deep on the inside.
Raze continued his destruction and now he was blasting several of the ground men with his lightning attacks hurting them constantly.
As this was going on though, Raze was starting to feel something, he could feel pain tingling through the entirety of his body.
'This…pain, is it trying to tell me that my time with the Breakthrough is almost up?' Raze thought.
'I timed it perfectly last time, and as Alen said, the item each time it's used it can force a breakthrough again but only lasts half the time. I now have two more of these to use, but I don't know if one can be used right after the other.
'After a breakthrough ends, the user can't use mana or gather magic for some time. I can still use my Qi though…but my body, it was in pain last time.
'That's why I took the helmet from Shay. So I'll still be able to fight, even after using the breakthrough.
'But I won't be joining the fight straight after. If I want to take out Heino, and all of those around him, I can only do two things, beat them in my breakthrough form, or beat them using my Qi and magic.'
Raze was confident in his breakthrough form for fighting but not confident in the amount of time he would have left.
Heino was stated to be a six star mage, but from everything he had experienced and learnt, he had his doubts. Someone who had been alive for so long to still be a six star mage was almost a complete impossibility.
There was a higher chance that he was a nine star mage, just like that of the Grand Magus, he had to imagine that he was going up against one of the Grand Magus right now.
'If my breakthrough is coming close to its end. Then I better do as much as I can.'
Raze then lifted both of his hands in the air, and started to form all of his dark magic into a large ball.
It formed until it was nearly five times bigger than his own body.
"Disperse!"
The black ball then broke up into several small balls that were surrounding all of Raze. It almost looked like rain drops of black magic.
Swifting his hands through the air, the Dark Magic balls went and descended among the people.
There was sheer panic from the large number of men, as they did whatever they could to try stop the attacks.
Even if it didn't kill them, they were going to be exerting a large amount of Qi, as well as energy, and now the fear of the Dark Magus would be in his mind.
Raze had perhaps dealt a blow, defeating around twenty five percent of their force. They were still far larger in number compared to his allies, but the mental state of the two sides would be completely different now going into the fight.
"I guess, now we just have to defeat 4 people for every person." Lince chuckled to himself.
Raze still had some time with his breakthrough, but he thought it was best for him to prepare for his next move.
As he was about to move away, he saw coming straight at him, was a giant fireball.
Raze immediately casted a large water barrier, and covered the entirety of the fireball. He had to use a mass amount of mana until the fireball disappeared and turned into nothing but steam.
'That…fireball, the size of it, that was a high level of magic, was it Heino?' Raze thought.
Right in front of Raze only a few meters away, a short tornado of fire shot up and spun, and then quickly disappeared, revealing a person right in front of him.
"It's been a long time, Dark Magus."
Raze's heart started to beat faster the blood boiling all over, as he saw the man in front of him.
"ENAXX!!!"
