DC Heroes in Marvel

Chapter 96: C 96

To understand the situation, Anton called the head of the PR department.

After hearing the explanation, it all became clear.

Green Arrow's characteristics were somewhat similar to Batman's, with many overlapping elements. Essentially, Arrow was benefiting from Batman's popularity.

It was worth noting that the superhero with the most fans at the moment was none other than Batman!

Thanks to the Batman IP managed by DC—spanning novels, comics, games, merchandise, and more—Batman's influence was massive, and DC was reaping significant profits.

Green Arrow, by borrowing some of Batman's audience through similar themes and stories, had managed to attract a large number of Batman fans.

Moreover, since both heroes came from the same company, DC, Arrow's exposure and success were naturally boosted, even though his popularity was primarily driven by novels and comics.

"So, I'll be able to have two alter egos soon?" Anton thought, feeling pleasantly surprised.

He hadn't forgotten that the fan value required to unlock Green Arrow was only 10 million. After all, Arrow was also a superhero.

Although Arrow's traits overlapped somewhat with Batman's, Anton had previously chosen Cyborg over Arrow. However, he couldn't deny that Arrow's value for the cost wasn't bad at all.

"In the next two weeks, increase the promotion of Arrow. I want to see results as soon as possible," Anton instructed the company's head of marketing.

"Understood," the department head replied with a nod.

After giving his orders, Anton left the office, went up a floor, and entered the Daily Bugle.

Natasha, as his personal assistant, followed him closely. Together, they went to Eddie's office.

"Anton, why is there another beauty following you around?" Eddie remarked, visibly impressed when he saw Natasha.

"She's my newly hired assistant. You know, Betty's been overwhelmed with work lately, especially after Cyborg's release," Anton said casually. "Her name's Natasha."

"Hello," Natasha said, extending a hand to Eddie.

They shook hands briefly.

"You can step out. I need to speak with Eddie privately," Anton instructed Natasha.

Once she had left the room, Anton turned to Eddie. "I need you to investigate someone."

"Who?" Eddie asked curiously. Whenever Anton made such a request, it meant something significant was in motion.

"Dr. Stockman," Anton said. "He's a researcher specializing in teleportation technology. He's proposed many advanced theories in the field. Find out everything you can about him."

"Teleportation technology?" Eddie asked, surprised. He had heard of it before, but such a concept seemed at least a decade or two away.

"There's something unusual in his possession," Anton revealed. "Something similar to the symbiote in your body. It's alien in origin."

"You're saying teleportation technology is real?" Eddie's eyes widened, stunned. He couldn't believe such an advanced concept existed.

"It's real, but it's alien technology," Anton replied. "This kind of tech shouldn't be in the hands of someone like Stockman. Besides, I have another idea…"

"Aliens…like Darkseid from the Cyborg movie?" Eddie asked, thinking back to the film he had watched with his girlfriend April the day before. "What's your idea?"

"The Justice League should have a base. If we can acquire a teleportation device, it could be a huge asset to us," Anton said with a slight smile.

The idea had come to him after encountering the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Recalling movies from his previous life, Anton remembered Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows.

In that film, the final villain, the alien Krang, used teleportation technology to bring his massive orbital fortress, the Technodrome, from deep space to Earth.

Anton thought the Technodrome would make a perfect base for the Justice League.

With the addition of a teleportation device…

In the future, every member of the Justice League would have the ability to respond instantly, arriving on-site whenever a crisis called. This level of alien technology had to be in Anton's hands.

Of course, Krang from the movies in his previous life had seemed easy to deal with. But since this was now the real world, Anton couldn't afford to treat Krang lightly. This was a fugitive alien criminal, after all.

Anton pondered deeply. After unlocking Cyborg, he planned to summon all the existing Justice League members and find a secluded location.

With the aid of teleportation technology, he would bring Krang to Earth, defeat him, and seize his most valuable asset—a massive war fortress in the shape of a sphere.

With Cyborg's advanced neural interface and technological prowess, controlling alien tech wouldn't be a challenge. No matter the world's setting, Cyborg inherently possessed the ability to link with and decode alien systems.

"By the way, as far as I know, the teleportation device is split into three parts. All three need to be assembled to function. Currently, apart from the part in Dr. Stockman's hands, there's also a component stored at the New York Museum. Eddie, find a way to get it," Anton instructed.

"And the final piece?" Eddie asked, intrigued.

"It's in the rainforests of Brazil!" Anton replied with a wry smile and shrugged. "It's going to be a massive undertaking."

"Are you sure we can even find it?" Eddie's eyes widened. The museum piece was manageable, but the vastness of the Brazilian rainforest was daunting—who could say exactly where the missing part was hidden?

"That's where Dr. Stockman comes in!" Anton smirked.

"Isn't Phil testing his own equipment lately?" Anton continued. "Let him pose as a villain and approach Stockman for a partnership. This will be his first mission. If he succeeds, the Justice League won't have any reason to reject him."

"Good point!" Eddie chuckled.

If things went as Anton planned and the teleportation device was fully assembled, Phil would earn his place as the Justice League's first official recruit.

The two exchanged knowing glances, silently agreeing to let Phil handle the challenging task.

"Alright, keep me updated when there's progress," Anton said as he left Eddie's office.

Outside, Natasha straightened her posture, her chest subtly emphasized.

A group of Daily Bugle employees couldn't help but gape at her. Watching Anton walk by with such a stunning woman, they silently marveled.

"He really is Tony Stark's friend," one of them muttered, swallowing hard.

Crunch!

The editor-in-chief's office door creaked open.

"Let's go," Anton said as he exited. He glanced at Natasha, and the two headed back to the DC office downstairs.

After work, Anton packed up his things and prepared to leave, only to coincidentally bump into Natasha. Intentional or not, the timing was uncanny.

He stopped his personal assistant with a casual smile.

"Miss Romanov, interested in grabbing a drink with me?"

"Of course," Natasha replied, her lips curving into a charming smile.
