Chapter 37: Auntie
I just tried something new while translating, tell me if this translation is better than before. Appreciate it.

The benefits of falling and breaking his bones turned out to be unexpectedly rewarding. While grimacing in pain, Ian felt a heavy sense of relief in his heart. Lying on the ground, he activated his [Healing Frenzy] skill.
There was no denying how incredibly useful this skill remained. In an instant, a scorching force pumped from his heart to every extremity of his body. The fractured bones emitted faint cracking sounds as they began mending.
Shattered blood vessels and broken bones reconnected like sprouting vines. It was as if countless "healing factors" were coursing through his marrow, painstakingly reassembling the fragments. Muscle fibers writhed like living organisms, while torn tendons seemed to be woven back together by invisible hands.
Aside from the increasingly intense hunger gnawing at him, Ian felt like he had returned to his peak. If not for the hospital being so crowded, he would have definitely gone back upstairs to jump off a few more times.
A few more rounds of this back-and-forth, and his [Berserker] level would have surely gone up.
"I have always said the DC universe needed its own Deadpool!" Ian became increasing concerned with obtaining long-term blessings, though he had no idea what price he'd have to pay for such happiness.
"I'm back in action, hehe."
Soon enough,
Ian was able to spring up from the ground like a carp leaping from water. Amidst the astonished gasps of onlookers, his newly healed legs carried him toward the hospital entrance with the speed of a V8 engine.
There was no other choice.
Running was absolutely necessary.
Ian knew himself well. This wasn't just some joke - he clearly understood that if the doctors caught him, he would, probably, most likely fail the psychiatric evaluation at the hospital.
"This is all because I got corrupted by that evil spirit!" Ian had already started blaming the evil spirit for his failed phyc eval.
Ian was starving, and he glanced around.
There was still time.
Even though he paused midway to shove two dollar bills into a child's hand that had been rubbed off his fingerprints before snatching the kid's chocolate bar, the doctors and nurses coming down in the elevator didn't even catch a whiff of him.
By the time this group reached outside the building,
Ian had already disappeared into the streets beyond the hospital.
"Faster than a speeding bullet, quicker than lightning."
That perfectly described his current speed.
"Where's the organ... no, where's the boy?" The doctors and nurses stared at the crushed flower beds, surrounded by bystanders discussing this "medical miracle."
"That boy was twitching on the ground, then suddenly jumped up like a zombie coming back to life! He just took off running! Could this be the apocalypse coming? Has he become the patient zero zombie?"
This came from a gaming enthusiast.
"Six floors! I saw him fall from the sixth floor! Someone must have pushed him! Thank God for performing this miracle to save the poor boy!"
A priest also attempted to use this opportunity for preaching.
"Doctor! Was that big brother one of your secretly created cyborgs? He actually paid me when he stole my chocolate! I was so moved I literally couldn't move!"
The little boy who spoke next was clutching two dollar bills in his hand, suspecting they might be counterfeit.
"...?????"
Well, how to put this.
While the doctors and nurses heard all this and perhaps understood what a miracle was, where was the science in all this? Where was the medical science? The group of nurses and doctors could only look at each other in bewilderment.
Soon,
Amidst their dazed confusion and feelings of absurdity, they noticed the familiar boy running back toward them from the distance.
"Hiss! He's really alive!"
The nurses and doctors were shocked.
They stood frozen, watching as Ian - who had miraculously survived, or to be more precise, should be called resurrected - returned with a hammer in hand, bypassing them to run back into the hospital building.
The boy moved with urgency, as if he had important business to attend to.
"Is he going to take revenge on whoever pushed him down?"
Some in the crowd wanted to follow him inside to see what would happen, making this guess. But the medical staff didn't dare speak up, afraid that if they said Ian had jumped on his own, no one would believe them.
"Bang! Bang! Bang!"
The sound of something being smashed to pieces rang out.
Before the group of mentally overloaded doctors and nurses could process what was happening, they saw a disheveled Ian emerge carrying a pile of surveillance hard drives, smashing them with the hammer as he ran.
Security guards were hot on his heels.
"Pew pew pew~"
Even though Ian did not have any limited edition night skin, the security guards truly would draw their guns and actually fire.
However, Ian dodged and weaved with the agility of a loach, and his running speed didn't decrease or get hindered in the slightest.
"Superboy! He must be a metahuman!"
"Dear God! What am I witnessing!"
"You priest! Get your hand off my son's ass first!"
...
Amidst the crowd's stunned reactions, Ian had already dashed out of the hospital gates again, leaving only the dumbfounded medical staff staring wide-eyed, completely unable to process what had just happened.
After a long while,
"Destroying the evidence! This kid is truly - meticulous! So steady!" Someone was the first to voice this heartfelt exclamation, and only then did they begin to understand why Ian had come back.
Yes.
Ian's purpose was to eliminate all surveillance footage of himself at this location. To be honest, even if Ian's extraordinary nature was exposed, the likelihood of him being captured and taken to a laboratory was actually quite slim.
After all, his father was Superman.
When not restricted, he was practically a god on Earth. As for when restricted... well, no need to mention that... And on his mother's side? With a general for a grandfather, couldn't he be considered genuine red-blooded American?
Of course, with the [World Recognition] hanging over him like the sword of Damocles, nothing could be said for certain. It was necessary to remain somewhat cautious, which was why Ian had returned and bought a hammer in the process.
"That damned woman, the fake Reaper Tessa, tricked me so badly!" Ian knew exactly who should foot the bill for today's events, though he only dared to think about it in his heart.
Actually confronting that woman?
Even a Berserker shouldn't be feeding themselves to the enemy.
Ian knew his own capabilities well. At most, he could only ensure that Metropolis General Hospital wouldn't come after him for compensation regarding the various property damages.
...
Time passed.
In the afternoon.
Inside a certain apartment building.
Kara Danvers, enjoying her rare day off, returned to her residence holding a paper bag containing the fried chicken and fries she had been craving all day.
"Catching up on the latest shows while eating juicy fried chicken and fries - this is what makes a perfect holiday!" Kara was in a rather good mood because of her day off.
However, this good mood only lasted until she stepped into the apartment lobby.
As Kara entered, a boy with holes in his clothes and dead leaves stuck in his hair came running out from the stairwell, reaching out to snatch the paper bag of delicious food from her hands.
"Don't think I'm an easy target just because I'm a girl. How dare you attempt robbery in broad daylight?" Kara deftly avoided the sneak attack, frowning as she glared sternly at the boy.
Facing this food bandit, although the boy was quite fast, Kara's speed far surpassed his. Every movement he made appeared to her as if in slow motion.
"I'm really hungry. If those hospital security geezers hadn't taken all my money, I wouldn't need to do this." The boy displayed his pocket with holes as evidence.
He immediately made another grab for the fragrant fast food.
"Hospital security ganged up on you?" Kara dodged again. Initially, she thought she had encountered a handsome delinquent and considered going gentle when teaching this good-looking young man a lesson.
However.
"Auntie, just let me have one bite, just one." With just these words, the girl who privately considered herself the second most powerful being on the planet was instantly petrified as if struck by a critical hit.
Completely defeated!
"Who are you calling auntie!?"
A dazed Kara felt her head buzzing.
Seizing the opportunity, Ian successfully snatched the food from her hands. This proved that even a Kryptonian superbrain was no match for Ian's wisdom filled mind.
Of course.
Even the wisest have their weaknesses.
"Bleh bleh bleh! It's Penguin Cola! Gotham pisswater!"
Ian was afraid that drinking Gotham's drinks would turn him into one of Gotham's retards. Who knew if the Joker's toxin actually existed or not?
