DC: My Name Is Not Billy Batson [New]

Chapter 68: Chapter 68: Harley fall

Sometime ago

Recently, Hush had been conspiring with a person behind the computer, which caused him to let his guard down around Harleen.

There was no way Harleen herself could escape the cage, but Harley could. What Dane had left her fate, and Harleen easily woke her up. But this time, it seemed that she had learned about Dane's intentions.

Harley didn't immediately seize control of Harleen's body. Instead, she wanted Harleen to willingly surrender control.

If that's what Dane wanted, Harley would do it, no matter how difficult it was.

Not only had Harley's obsession with Dane been loss by witnessing him in person, but she also became more paranoid and passionate.

Harleen, perhaps tired of the small space of only 10 square meters, finally agreed.

"However, I hope that when you go out, you'll give me back my body!" Harleen stipulated her conditions.

Harley laughed and replied, "No problem, little sweetheart!"

After the body swap, Harley wasted no time using her skills. Her eyes fixed on Harold.

"Hey! Handsome guy!"

After Hush went out, Harold was left to take care of the basement.

Everyone should remember Harold—he was Batman's personal computer consultant but had betrayed him.

The reason he betrayed Batman was because Thomas had cured him of his disability, and in return, Harold became a loyal lackey to Hush.

When he heard someone speak, Harold turned around. He saw the female college student in the prison cell waving at him.

Though Harley was insane, he had to admit that she was undeniably beautiful, and her figure was quite alluring. By this time, she had pulled down one shoulder strap, revealing her pale shoulder.

As a normal man, Harold, left alone in the basement, couldn't resist her charms. Harley's gaze alone was enough to make him lose his composure. Seeing Harold approach, Harley grew bolder.

"Why don't you come in and do something fun?"

Unable to control his desires, Harold, under Harley's deliberate guidance, opened the door to her cell.

Once he stepped inside, Harley's expression changed. She quickly pulled the pencil from her hair and drove it into Harold's throat.

"he can only do that!" she said maniacally, watching Harold's life slip away.

"Ah—!!" Harleen screamed, terrified.

"You killed him! You killed him!"

"We killed him! No! It shouldn't be like this!"

Ignoring Harleen's panicked cries, Harley took her actions as an odd form of accompaniment and bounced out of the basement.

Behind her, Harold stopped struggling, his eyes still fixed on the direction Harley had left.

Harley disguised herself as a doctor and strutted out of Gotham General Hospital. Once outside, Harley returned Harleen's body as promised, but the college student was left in a daze.

"Where do I go?"

Should she go to the police? No, Harleen knew the corruption of the Gotham police and didn't trust them.

Should she return to school? But with Thomas caught her at Gotham University, would she be caught in the net if she went back?

Who else could she turn to for help?

At that moment, a man suddenly appeared in her mind. It was Dane, In her mind, Dane shone with a divine light, Harleen shuddered. She made her way back to the basement.

When she passed by, she didn't even glance at Harold's body.

At the Hush computer, she found his plan with the mysterious man. Harley screamed wildly in her head:

"That's him! The person on the other side is definitely him!"

"Find him! You have to find him!"

Harleen's eyes were unfocused, and she muttered to herself, "I must find him. I have to find him."

"Isn't that right? Why should I look for him?"

"No, we have to find him! Only he can save us, yes! Only he can save us."

She was nervous, talking to herself, and subconsciously kept passersby at a distance.

There's a well-known rule in Gotham: don't mess with people who look like they're crazy!

sometime later, Harleen finally arrived at the ACE chemical plant. But the person she was looking for had already left.

All that remained were Catwoman and the corpses of a few League of Assassins members killed by Dane.

At that moment, Catwoman also woke up. She clutched her somewhat drowsy head and her heart sank as she looked at the Assassin corpses around her.

But she only saw a blonde woman, looking weak. She appeared young, probably still in school.

"Who are you?"

Catwoman didn't judge by appearances; she immediately reached for her waist, only to realize her weapon was missing.

"Where is he? No, he said he would!"

But the woman didn't answer her question. Instead, she kept talking to herself.

Catwoman grew more wary, knowing that Gotham's crazies could be dangerous.

She turned to leave, her only focus being to find out where Bruce was. But as she turned, a knife flew toward her back.

Luckily, Catwoman reacted quickly and dodged in time. She glared at the woman, only to see her demeanor shift drastically, as if she had gone mad.

"You have to tell me where he is! Otherwise, you won't be allowed to leave!"

"Then you should at least tell me who he is?"

Harley was stumped by the question. She struggled to recall every detail of her encounter with Dane.

But each memory was a violent image of Dane coldly killing her—yet his name was never mentioned.

Catwoman seemed to understand her predicament and grew angrier. She say sarcastically, "I bet you were abandoned by a man, weren't you?"

When Harley heard, She grabbed a knife from the Assassin's corpse and lunged at Catwoman. But Harley had no formal weapon training, and After struggling for a while, she couldn't even land a blow on Catwoman. Seeing her opponent's clumsy attempts, Catwoman relaxed her guard.

She teased, "Is this your plan? To exhaust me to death?"

When Harley heard, instead of getting angry, she nodded in agreement.

"You're right."

Instead of continuing to attack, she dropped the knife.

"I'm stupid."

She picked up a gun from the Assassin's corpse. Though Assassin preferred cold weapons, their assassins were equipped with modern firearms.

Catwoman knew better than to underestimate Harley, and she quickly found cover to dodge. Harley seemed to have some natural talent for firearms.

At first, she was a bit rusty, but soon her accuracy improved. Catwoman frantically searched for a weapon she could use.

"I love this, little sweetheart!"

"No! Stop, why are we doing this?"

"She scolded me!" Harley's tone was aggrieved.

"He didn't even scold me!"

Harleen argued, "You attacked her first!"

"That's just a hello," Harley pouted.

Then, she happily shot at Catwoman, and soon the bullet she fired grazed Catwoman's calf.

"I feel like I've got the hang of it!" Harley trembled with excitement, her entire body alive with thrill, but soon, her bullets ran out.

"What?!"

Just as Harley was stunned, Catwoman picked up a knife from the ground and threw it, scratching Harley's arm.

In pain, the gun slipped from Harley's hand and fell to the ground. Catwoman rushed forward and punched her in the nose.

"Taste this, Bitch!"

Harley was punched, and it felt like the world was spinning. Her body retreated uncontrollably, backing up and up until she was at the edge of the Lazarus Pool.

Catwoman didn't know what this pool was, but it was green and didn't look good. She rushed forward, trying to grab Harley.

But it was too late. Under Catwoman's punch, Harley and Harleen's personalities switched back and forth in her mind, They had no idea what they were doing.

Catwoman could only watch as the woman's body fell into the green pool.
