Chapter 12: Chapter 12 David, what's wrong with your body?

A figure that he was very familiar with but shouldn't be here.

With the sound of footsteps, David slowly walked out of the darkness under the street light.

"David, what did you say?"

Clark was confused and surprised by David's sudden appearance.

"How did you get here? I specially brought him out of town and came here.

It's impossible to get here from school so quickly even if you drive."

Also, if I heard correctly - his own brother asked him to kill someone?

"I said kill him, Clark."

Ignoring his question and glancing at Jerome, David stopped and repeated with a serious expression.

[Anger from Jerome +0.02, murderous intent +0.02...]

Surprisingly, this guy can also provide emotional points, but compared to Clark, they are pitifully few.

"If you don't do it, I will."

"No, how can we kill people?"

Clark, who had been kindly taught by Martha since childhood, was shocked. He couldn't believe what he heard and felt that his brother in front of him was a little strange.

"He has killed more than one person. He is already a madman and a damned man, isn't he?"

David heard the previous words.

And just by looking at the other person's appearance, you can tell that he has become so mad that he wants to kill hundreds of people in one breath without blinking an eye.

"We can't have lynchings."

Clark's face looked slightly grim, his voice slowed down, and he made a suggestion after refusing.

"There is a law. We can hand him over to the police. He will be sentenced and receive the punishment he deserves."

He did not deny that Jerome should be sentenced to death, but no one should be above the law and life.

"You let him see your face."

David stopped talking nonsense and walked towards Jerome, who had just barely stood up from the ground.

"My face?"

"Do you think a normal prison can hold him?

When he comes out, will he take revenge on you?"

David was not worried about the tough Clark, but he asked in return that if he wanted to take revenge on a person, he could also start with the people around him.

"If he follows you to our house..."

When Clark mentioned his parents, his face changed, and he suddenly remembered that there was something he had forgotten from the beginning to the end.

He finally understood why his brother wanted to kill him right away.

Clark touched his face and realized that in his haste, he had forgotten to hide his identity.

Swish!

Jeremy was not afraid at all when facing Clark, but when David walked towards him with a cold momentum, he inexplicably felt a little uneasy in his heart, as if it was the difference between a gentle elephant and a deadly lion.

He could tell from David's deathly cold eyes that David was not just talking when he said he wanted to kill him.

And could the person who has seen his abilities and has the confidence to come and kill him be an ordinary person?

Swish!

The electric current burst out, and before Jerome raised his hand in a sudden attack, David disappeared on the spot without even blinking.

Thanos' ability does not include super speed, his speed is only close to the speed of sound.

But that's enough.

"To prevent future troubles, your death sentence will have to be brought forward."

David came up to the startled Jerome along with his voice, and grabbed his neck with one hand and lifted him up in the air effortlessly as if he was holding a chick.

It was as if his neck was being strangled by an iron clamp. Jerome had difficulty breathing, his face turned purple, and his legs kicked weakly in the air.

"You...what kind of monster are you?"

Looking at David whose skin had turned purple, he widened his eyes in horror and struggled to hold David's hand with both hands. In the fear of death, he tried his best to activate his ability.

"Let…let me go!"

Swish!

The terrifying electric current hit David's hand, only turning half of his sleeve into ashes, but failed to shake his slender body that was like a body of steel.

"David, what do you look like?"

On one side are his parents, and on the other side is murder. Clark was already hesitant and in a dilemma. When he saw his brother's expression suddenly change, he stood there in horror with his mouth open.

"How did you become like this?"

"You're not the only one with secrets, Clark."

Glancing at Clark, David replied.

He could have strangled Jerome's neck at any time, but he deliberately didn't do so because he had a guess.

Clark quickly realized that this was not the important thing now.

He left a shadow behind, flew over and grabbed his wrist.

"Put him down, brother."

He hurried to stop David.

But to his surprise, no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't pry David's hands open.

From a force that was enough to make an ordinary person let go, to a force that was enough to bend a steel rod as thick as an arm, the road beneath his feet could not bear the weight and was cracked because of his strength.

David's body remained motionless, like an unshakable mountain.

"How did you do that, are you really David?"

Surprised, Clark didn't dare to push any further, for fear of hurting his brother, who suddenly seemed so mysterious to him.

"Listen, David you can't kill him.

Some lines are hard to take back once they are crossed, and if your father and mother were here, they would not agree with you doing this."

Then his expression became serious, he stared into his brother's eyes, and earnestly asked him to put the man down.

Clark now regretted not having thought it through carefully.

But he didn't want his brother to clean up the mess at the cost of murder.

"Think about what our parents would think if they knew about this, David."

One second, two seconds...the two looked at each other.

"Okay, you don't have to kill him."

When it comes to his parents, David seems to soften his attitude and he lets Jeremy go.

"But I have to take a precautionary measure."

Bang!

After saying that, he slapped Jerome on the back of the head, but the blow was not very powerful.

It felt like he was hit hard on the back of his head by a baseball bat. Before he could react, Jeremy fell straight onto the cold, hard road, closed his eyes, and lay motionless.

"You still killed him?"

Clark hurried to check the situation. Jeremy was still breathing, but he couldn't be woken up no matter how hard he called.

"I turned him into a vegetable to prevent him from doing evil again in the future."

"What?"

Hearing his brother's light words, Clark looked up in disbelief: "David, you..."

"Are you trying to say that this is also a lynching and this is not okay?"

David immediately raised his eyebrows and asked back.

"I..."

Clark honestly thought so.

Beating a person into a vegetable to prevent him from taking revenge is too cruel.

But thinking that this incident was caused by his negligence, and his brother listened to him and did not kill the other person, should he still blame and reprimand his brother?

Clark was speechless and unable to speak.

"This matter ends here. Send him to a place that can treat him and don't get involved in this matter anymore."

David glanced at the newly emerged vegetable on the ground and turned away.

[Fear from Jerome +0.04, Anger +0.03, Hatred +0.004...]

A steady stream of emotional points are earned.

"Sure enough, although a vegetative patient cannot wake up, his brain is still conscious."

This would be better for him than killing Jerome.

"I dropped him off at the door of the hospital in town."

Carrying Jerome, Clark disappeared from the spot. Within a second or two, David had not walked far before he came back and said in a dull voice.

"Now let's go back to school in case anyone notices we're missing."

David glanced at Clark, whose only blurry trace was seen when he left, and said.

"My strength and defense are definitely far superior to Clark's at this moment, but in terms of speed, Clark has a big advantage over me."

He was a little curious in his heart. If Kryptonite was not used, he wondered who would win in a fight between him and the current Clark.

"David, what's wrong with you?"

Catching up with his brother, Clark had a complicated expression and had a series of questions to ask. David suddenly revealed too many things today, and he suddenly realized that he didn't seem to know his brother very well.
