Demon King Who Will Rule the Infinite Worlds

Chapter 68: Chapter 67 -Pressure

"We are leaving right now?" Naoko nervously gripped on Enma's back, looking at the legends of Konoha like the Yellow Flash and Toad Sage.

Minato warmly smiled at her, "We have to. According to information, Jiraiya-sensei gathered their King is going to arrive tonight. We have to get there before he arrives."

"Oh," Naoko nervously nodded, taking a step back, almost stepping on Enma's feet, who grabbed her by her shoulder to stop her.

"Hold on," Minato raised his hand, forming a seal. He quickly touched Naoko's upper arm and they were gone from that spot.

They reappeared near a small village close to the Senju village, "Why are we here?"

Jiraiya scratched his face, "This place is close to the Senju village, but it has a strange barrier that stops any teleportation Jutsu. I didn't tell that to Old man or he never would have let us come."

"You lied to him," Kushina sharply asked. She was so happy being able to come out of the village, it had been so long. She hurriedly looked around the small village, it didn't have many people or gates for the matter. It looked better than some blocks of Konoha village.

To their surprise, the few people that were in this village noticed them and a woman came out of the house, holding the tray and glasses full of water. She was a young woman who smiled and greeted them, "Welcome, visitors to Senju Village."

"Senju village?" Minato raised his head to look around, "Oh."

The village didn't have any signs or names on it, but the few houses seemed to be a part of Senju village because they had the symbol of Senju clan painted on their doors. They were also marked by a strange seal he never seen before, 'Is it related to teleportation jutsu?'

Then he noticed that there was no one in this village who was a ninja, but all of them had their forehead protectors, 'If there is no ninja in this village then...'

"This place is," Enma tilted his head, asking.

"This is a rest stop. We invite refugees from all over the world. These empty villages are for them to rest in," the woman explained, "Senju-hime informed us you would be coming. Allow me to show you the path."

"The path?" Naoko and Kushina followed the direction her hand was pointing. There were trees in front of them, covering everything in their sight and in some distance, fog rolling between the trees.

"Yeahahahaha," Jiraiya laughed, "Thank you. Lady, you are beautiful. I am Toad Sage of Konoha, have you heard about me," Jiraiya started following her, trying to flirt.

"Ugh," Kushina had such a comedic, disgusted look on her face. She looked towards Naoko, the only other girl here, "he's a pervert."

"I know, Oni-san told me," Naoko softly giggled, feeling at ease. The two of them started walking together while Enma and Minato followed them.

Minato glanced towards Enma, seeing the orange sharingan, "Can you sense anything?"

"No," Enma lied. He could sense aura. This was his first time he had seen Aura being used like this. It was like it had a will of its own, like it was a creature, blocking every sense he used. He didn't want to use Abyssal Aura for fear they could actually sense someone using the Abyssal Aura.

"Something is off," Minato mumbled, "This isn't like anything I have ever heard about. Tsunade-sama wouldn't be capable enough to create something like this."

"Then it's the people from Avalon?"

"Most likely," Minato muttered, becoming cautious. He closed the distance between him and Kushina, protecting her more closely. He wouldn't allow anything to happen to her.

They sped up, and while the woman didn't look like Ninja, she could easily guide them by running across the trees. They didn't see any sign of people on their path. The only thing they heard was the sounds of animals. They couldn't sense anyone either. For a long time, they kept following the woman until she came to a stop.

They were finally out of the fog, greeted by the amazing sight like no other. They were near a steep cliff leading to grand forest that covered land for tens of kilometres around them. There were a lot of lakes here that made the place look picturesque. But what caught their eyes was the village in the distance.

The Senju Village had a beautiful tall gate, which was connected to a giant wall that surrounded the whole village, not allowing anyone to enter or leave. Even from this distance, they could sense the abundance of chakra. There was a large building at the centre of a village, surely belonging to Senju-hime, along with one and two-story houses spread out in all directions.

Beyond the village were Islands connected to the land with wooden bridges, filled with crops of different kinds, the vibrant, colourful crops making it seem like a paradise from the outside.

"How many people live here?" Jiraiya narrowed his eyes, scanning the environment.

"This village is in the beginning. We are slowly taking in refugees, not just from the Ninja, but the normal people as well. Currently, we have the population of only 10,000," the woman answered Jiraiya.

"Wow, it's so beautiful," Kushina watched the sea waves crashing against the shores in the distance, and the way it turned to small lakes which were used to irrigate the farmland, 'It's like an oasis.'

"It's so fresh," Naoko agreed with her, mesmerised by the sight of this village, "If I had to imagine heaven, this is what it would look like."

Enma nudged Jiraiya, "I heard you have a crush on Tsunade-sama? Can you get me the citizenship?"

Jiraiya smacked Enma on the head, "Don't even think about it! It won't be possible. Come on, we have a duty."

"Ow, ow, ow," Enma held his head, "Tsk," clicking his tongue. His eyes went to Naoko, who softly giggled at the sight of him holding his head.

Minato breathed out, scratching his head, smiling, "Let's go."

They were about to move forward when something changed about the village. They had their senses spread out, Enma was even in the Sage Mode to know what was going on and Minato had taken the time to get into it. They could sense clearly what others only felt.

The sky above their head crashed and a thin barrier spread out, covering the whole village. It felt heavy, suppressing the air all around them. The presence of someone like that was enough to make their legs and arms feel like they were carrying stones, 't-this is,' Minato gasped, having trouble breathing as his hand wrapped around the small of Kushina's back to support her.

Jiraiya clenched his fist, taking a deep breath. The woman didn't seem to notice anything. She turned around, smiling at them, "Come. I will lead you to Senju-hime."

Enma felt the heavy suppression. He wasn't someone that could be affected by the power of an aura, but it felt like something was affecting his soul. He supported his hands on his knees, trying to breathe, "what...what is this..."

As abruptly as it came, it disappeared, releasing them from the torturous bindings. Enma and Minato dropped to their knees, having sensed the oppression most clearly. They were covered in cold sweat, nauseous.

"You don't think that was...fuck I don't even know what else it could be," Enma clutched his heart. His heart beat frantically like it was trying to jump out of his throat.

"Oni-san!"

"Minato!"

Naoko and Kushina rushed to them, meanwhile Jiraiya wiped his sweat, narrowing his eyes, "I don't know," he took a deep breath, 'I was saved because I wasn't in Sage Mode. What was that?'

(Kushina)

Kushina froze, hearing Nine Tails voice inside her head. It never spoke to her. She didn't even know it could. She wanted to know what it was saying, but she couldn't hear it.

She closed her eyes, finding herself in front of the sealed cage, staring at the massive Nine-Tailed Fox on the other side, looking down at her, "How did you..."

"Hmph. Run away. If you die, so would I," it warned, going back deeper inside his cage to sit down, closing its eyes.

"Kushina?"

Kushina heard Minato's voice, she had questions for Kyuubi but it didn't seem like it would answer. She opened her eyes to look at Minato, "It was Kyuubi. It spoke to me!"

"Spoke? To you? Really! What did it say?"

Kushina explained, and Minato seemed to be startled. He looked at Jiraiya, "Sensei."

"I know," Jiraiya closed his eyes, "believe me. I believe in Tsunade, and if anything goes wrong."

"I understand," Minato nodded. They took the elevator that led them down before taking something they called Tram, which led them to the village while they comfortably sat in the cold carriage.

They passed through the checkpoint, with guards greeting them before going past the enormous gates, only to be greeted by a festive atmosphere in the village. The streets were covered in paper lanterns and there were shops, restaurants, and inns all around them. Children were happily playing, couples were out on a date and the restaurant was filled with people.

Everyone was looking forward to this day and their joy could be felt in the air. Enma hung on the chair, asking their guide, "what is going on?"

"His Majesty is coming today," the guide looked excited, "I am lucky that I get to be here. Everyone back at the village was so jealous," she cleared her throat, returning to her guide mode, "This is a place where many people live, including Ninja and ordinary people who have moved in. Since Ninja work in shifts, they tend to gather during night-time and if you visit again during the day, you could see farmers coming from outside to sell their products."

Kushina asked the question on everyone's mind, "Majesty? You mean..."

"It's just what everyone calls him. King of Avalon. He's our Daimyo," the guide took them to a nearby hotel which they had kept booked for the guests.

Jiraiya asked them to wait, "Wait here. I'll check in with Tsunade."

"Careful, Sensei."

Jiraiya searched around the shoreline until he came across a seating area between the Islands. He used his binoculars, looking at the group of people in the distance. His eyes landed on Tsunade, she looked stunningly beautiful, wearing a purple and blue kimono, her hair flowing in the wind.

Though there was a warmth in her eyes as she looked at the person sitting opposite to her. He looked to be a handsome young man who was the only person Tsunade focused on, 'that brat? That's him?'

He had snow white hair and eyes that reminded him of the sky. It was like his eyes could peer into someone's heart. But Tsunade seemed to be comfortable and happy being around him. Thankfully, he wasn't the only one, there was the young woman with golden hair hugging the man tightly, sharing a loving kiss.

'Oh,' Jiraiya breathed out in relief. He looked at the other people around the seating area. He knew them from his research last time. The black-haired lad was Tifa, Tsunade's right-hand woman. The brown-haired one was Aerith, rumoured to be Goddess of Harvest.

Then there was the young man with spiky blonde hair. Jiraiya removed the binoculars, sighing, "Hm. That must be the famous Cloud Strife."

"Woah, Cloud is famous. How?"

Jiraiya froze up. His eyes slowly, jerkingly turned towards the curious boy sitting beside him, making binoculars with his fingers, "Uh...ahaha...I was looking for a toilet."

"You were?" the boy grinned, "Father is looking for you. Rather, he's asking for you."

"Right. Of course," Jiraiya gulped, questioning, "Father, who?"

"His Majesty, the King?" Arthur tilted his head, "Oh yeah. He looks young," he scratched his head, "I am adopted."

"I see...ahaha...come I'll follow you," Jiraiya stood up, laughing. Since he was found out, he decided to face it boldly.

"No, no, not yet. How about we do this next morning?"

"That's even better. I'll go now," Jiraiya hurriedly made his escape, looking back one last time, 'I was noticed?' He didn't want to boast, but he had gone to other Great Villages without getting noticed. Even getting this close and seeing this much was already good, and the fact he was noticed when he was still this far from them.

He made his way back to the hotel room, 'what was that pressure that suddenly appeared? I need to be careful.'
