Demon Lord: Erotic Adventure in Another World

Chapter 568: Overtaking Baltimore - I am The Demon King!

Paul's hands burst with a blue light as he cast spells without abandon, and saved his runic spells for barriers to keep the people safe.

"Fall!" He grunted, a sense of exhilaration surging through his body; this was the battle he wanted. It was the kind of knight he aspired to be. "Stay behind me, I will keep you safe!"

Marth held a massive club, the size of her husband, with a single hand. She stepped to the edge of the barrier and sent the possessed humans flying. "Wake up!" The blow of her club hit so hard that the people lost consciousness, and the forced activation of Mephisto's spell fizzled.

"Hurry!" Other women and men called out to the dazed humans with bloody noses.

--Dragon Lightning!

A fierce blue spell shot from Paul's fingertips, blood oozing from his nose as he abused his empty mana pool.

The dragon-shaped lighting devoured several archers, ripping apart their bodies and turning them into a singed mess.

Paul never imagined himself casting spells without runes, but now it seemed so natural. "I need to thank His Majesty for this." It was also the moment he stopped thinking of King Avandar when saying those words.

He watched Martha beating down more and more of the black-eyed monsters, her strength overwhelming, but still weaker than the demon knights who started to pour into the city.

"Hold on! We don't have to hold long, the archers are almost gone!"

The massive group has been whittled down to a few, thanks to Paul's efforts. "Fuck, Simon, where are you? Damn bastard." He bit his lip, rolling the final barrier runes in his hands.

'My chest hurts, my organs are on fire... I want to vomit...' Paul complained in his mind, but his lips curved into a huge smile. "But I feel so ALIVE!" His right eye flicked black for a moment... before he bit his lip... blood pouring down his chin as he thought of the people behind him...

'Please... please... just be safe.' Paul thought to himself, thinking about his family.

That is how he managed to keep the possession at bay, sheer will and love.

"Eh?"

Suddenly, the sky changed, and a voice echoed... the voice like a distant oasis to Paul.

"Good work, Paul, Simon... let me make things easier."

-- Blood Transfusion!

A heavy pressure filled the city. Asmodeus stood atop a balcony in the distance, his hand in the air, as blood replaced the grey clouds, and corpses in the street twisted and contorted, their limbs stretching into the air like spikes.

Millions of thin bloody strings shot from the sky, Lumina's webbing, dripped with the blood from Asmodeus's rain, creating an eerie visual.

Bloody strings that controlled the fallen citizens.

The bodies began to move, their eyes turning red while their skin became pale, a soft glow appearing around them as they started moving towards Paul.

"Wha...?" Paul gasped, shocked by what he saw. He had heard about puppeteering spells before, a branch of hypnosis, but this spell... it wasn't the same. He couldn't sense how it worked... it was like something that happened naturally.

Paul felt a surge of energy flow through his body, as if all fatigue vanished in an instant.

"Is that His Majesty?"

A thread attached to the back of his neck, and suddenly a thick mana filled his empty core... the wounded Martha and exhausted villagers all started to look fresh and eager to fight, their eyes flickering with a soft red light.

The thread attached to Paul's neck suddenly turned into a small snake-like creature that wrapped around his neck. Paul didn't know for sure, but it felt alive as if Asmodeus' blood flowed inside him.

"I can feel my body growing stronger... is this what it feels like to become a demon?"

He looked up and saw the empty wall... and realised that once again, Asmodeus saved him at the last moment.

"Flee into the castle, the boost won't last forever, My Knight."

"You cheeky little..." He mumbled back to the deep, but commanding voice. "How did you grow to such heights?"

Paul didn't know how demanding this spell was for Asmodeus, or the burden he would face when choosing to cast it.

'My king...' but he didn't care.

"Paul?" Martha asked with a concerned tone.

"We are heading to the castle. The King has opened the main hall for us!" Paul roared.

"The King?"

"Who?"

Several people asked hime, but he turned back with a serious face.

"The Demon King, Asmodeus!"

***

"Ugh..."

Asmodeus slipped forward, his face pale, while leaning on the stone barrier. He watched from above, standing on a balcony, his crimson eyes narrowed in amusement at the chaos below.

'If I were truly a demon king, wouldn't this look extremely bad...?'

His army broke the gates with ease—instead, thanks to the adventurers, the only thing that broke was the wooden brace at the northern gate.

"Simon and Paul were right, their friends are skilled." He watched the event from the moment he left, now watching his forces fight, he constantly sent spells into the city below.

Not offensive spells, but rather barriers and his first magic spell... the grasp of blood that held the infected in place, allowing the weak and vulnerable to escape to Paul.

To cast these spells after giving a massive amount of blood to save the people from the curse... "Adding my blood to Lumina's helped cure more than half the possessed." However, I won't use this method again.

"Never do that again!" Lumina cried out, her webbing wrapped around his body, to hold in the leaking blood, he looked up with a bitter smile.

"I won't..."

To cast the spell and spread the blood through her threads.

He forced Lumina to wound him... thousands of sharp threads cut into his flesh, now attempting to wrap him up to stop the bleeding.

"I feel guilty..." He muttered.

"Don't! Do you think they would all have survived without you? What's wrong with making them demons!?" Lumina shouted at him, a tone different from her usual submissive one, which felt nostalgic... like the goddess he first met. "You are a king, stop putting others before yourself and your people. This city would have fallen without you! Take it!"

"...did you realise how attractive you are right now?"

Lumina's face became bright red, but she huffed and recovered. "Don't change the subject, now is the moment of truth, take over this city and show the world you are a worthy King!" She turned away. "I don't want to hear anything until everything is over and we're going to make love again!"

"..."

Asmodeus smiled at her fleeing back.

'You almost remained serious for the whole thing...'

"Haha... well, shall we start everyone?"

The plan wasn't to take Baltimore, but thinking again, this city was close to all three kingdoms, and the only place the mainland could moor their ships to invade.

"Do I want to conquer the mainland... or maybe I should just stop their attack?"

The clack of steel boots hitting the refined marble echoed from behind as Asdmoeus smiled more. He couldn't believe the ideas forming in his mind, was the north not enough... or was this the true nature of a demon Emperor?

"Who are you speaking too?"

The moment he turned... Vinea stood in her armoured battle dress, holding a long spear, with her hair tied into a braid wrapped over her shoulder. Her beautiful eyes narrowed with concern as she stared at him.

"Why did you drain yourself so much? Are you an idiot?" The blunt tone of Vinea never changed, even after spending the night in bed together. "Well... it looks like the others are here and causing havok... Asmodea looks pumped."

"Can't you see Velvet? I've not seen her this happy for months..."

Their gaze turned to the port, where a mysterious group of armed knights appeared after the villagers started to wake up, the source of the trouble.

"Are those people with pasty skin the mainland knights? How come they are so lean and weak?"

The mainland soldiers had white armour covering them from neck to toe with long coats of arms.

"I wouldn't know." He sighed and leaned on the barrier, his head dizzy from blood loss. "They all look the same to me, when my women are all so wonderful..." Asmodeus grabbed Vinea's waist, and pushed her against the balcony wall, her thick hips, tight abs and muscles putting most men to shame... "I love your muscles."

"Damn bastard, you're not getting inside me again until that wound heals up."

He didn't listen, instead pushing her dress up and biting her neck, his fangs sinking into her molten red skin, "Really?"

"Haa.... d-don't cheat..."

"You want to go fight, right?" He asked in a low, husky voice.

"Mmmm!"

Vinea shook her head with flushed cheeks as he moved to her collarbone.

The sharp pain of his bite made her clench, but when he rubbed her soft, supple mounds. "Nnnn..." She found an opening and pushed him away, her fluffy wings spreading as she stepped onto the railing.

"Y-You! Just you wait!"

Her cheeks were burning with embarrassment as she jumped off, her spear raised.

"I'll be waiting!" He called after her, watching her fall like a meteor.
