Chapter 75: Chapter 75: Stories for everyone!
Raven hummed softly as he considered how to start this story. His hand idly brushing through Izanami's hair with ease. The knots in it slowly becoming undone as his hand slid through it.
"This story starts during the second time I was kidnapped. When the young me still possessed a small bit of hope inside of him." Raven smiled down at Izanami who thought it was such a fragile, but honest, smile.
"I prayed to every being I could, none answered my prayers. As I thought I was loosing hope, something happened. Perhaps one of them finally answered my prayer. Perhaps my magic managed to do something, I'm not sure, but somehow I escaped and ended up in the forest in America." Raven said as he tried to not let the past distract him, though a smidgen of anger flickered in his eyes before vanishing.
"I can admit that younger me was a very much feral child. I lived there for some months, but I came upon a man who was living off the forest almost entirely." Raven said with a small smile.
"He helped me. Taught me to properly live off the land. Make my own home out of nature. I-" Raven took a deep breath as he dragged up the memories of that time.
"I learnt to have hope. Also to not trust governments. I learnt that if you don't ever love, how can you keep on living?" Raven asked softly aloud and a genuine smile formed on his face.
A small laugh escaped him.
"He did say any dog under fifty pounds is a cat, and that cats are useless, but I think perhaps he was wrong on that part." Raven said as a familiar smirk wormed its way onto his face.
"For all intents and purposes, under gus guidance I found a way to focus myself, to become one with nature and live off the land. Also shoot guns. That was fun." Raven smiled and Izanami thought that Raven still did believe in hope despite what he said.
"However no story can ever truly end on a good note. Towards the end of my time in America, we were attacked by a pack of wolves nine wolves. He managed to shoot four of them before the fifth ripped his throat out, it died with him." Raven said sadly as he looked up at the cave ceiling.
"My memories are hazy for the time after, but I believe I flew into murderous rage and possibly momentarily unlocked my inhuman heritage. The forest was torn up, the wolves massacred like it was a horror movie. The only thing untouched was his dead and cooling body." Raven said as a single tear slid down his face.
"I attended his funeral. His family and a few people attended. He left me his cabin in the woods and a promise to never forget about love. I was whisked away back to Europe afterwards." Raven said softly as he remembered that moment.
"He shaped me into the teen I am today." Raven finished as he suddenly flipped around and pinned Izanami to the bed.
"I love my cat, and since you were, are, my cat, I love you." Raven said a fierce look on his face, some weebs might call it a yandere smile.
"I'm very possessive of what I consider mine, my cat is mine, so you are mine, and I won't let you leave me, not now, not ever. Not even if existence itself ends, I won't let you escape me." Raven snarled out and Izanami stared at him with wide eyes, but she wasn't unhappy.
"I supposed I can stay your cat for all of eternity and beyond." Izanami smiled as she hugged him and Raven smiled pleased as he hugged her back.
Izanami blinked as she felt something around her neck. She felt it and realized it was a collar, and a fierce silver blush spread across her face.
"Since you're my cat, it's only fair I collar you in both forms." He snickered with a suggestive smile on his face and her hand glowed silver before she slapped him and he went flying through the roof of the cave and beyond.
Once he was gone, Izanami rubbed the collar around her neck and smiled, the blush slightly remained on her face though.
Written on the collar was "property of Raven Inanis, return or face extermination" in bold letters.
"That perverted boy." She laughed softly as she took it off and stored it away, because who knows, she might want to wear it later in the future.

Raven cackled as he flew through the sky, he had idly shifted to his real form to use his wings to glide along the sky and look down at everything he passed over. Idly he noted he was flying over the ocean before suddenly a giant sea creature jumped out of the ocean and ate him.
"Huh?" Raven asked as he felt the beast go back deep into the ocean.
"Did I just get eaten by some giant ocean creature?" He asked confused as he tried to understand what it was, but all he could feel was confusion as his magics didn't work on understanding it. Like it didn't exist.
All that appeared in his mind was an image of a eclipse. He wasn't sure why.
•~~~~•
A man stood with a smile as he floated above the ocean casually and looking down.
"I've provided some help to speed things up my son, but you better speed up or your brother is going to awaken before you can start awakening too."
"Wake up my son, and reclaim the glory that is yours. Reclaim your brother from the madness that plagues him by those that seek to fight against us."
The man just vanished then, for a moment reality itself glitched as cracks in it seemed to appear before they started vanishing as if being repaired by something or someone.
•~~~~•
Raven frowned as he felt himself started to loose consciousness inside the creature, he sensed no ill intent, but then again, he couldn't sense anything from it, so perhaps he just couldn't sense it.
Not to mention, his abilities didn't want to work. Like something was blocking them, even his true magic, which shouldn't be possible. They exist on a different plane of reality, beyond this one.
The final moment before he passed out, something glowed in front of his hand, white energy tried to take form into something, but it just didn't happen and fizzled out.
Raven felt a laugh escape him.
"Death by a bitch slap of an embarrassed goddess, a hilarious way to die." He thought aloud before darkness fully took him.
His eyes didn't even close as he lost consciousness.
•~~~~•
Raven opened his eyes, or rather he felt like he did as he could see enterly around him, like he wasn't limited by just his vision anymore, he also wasn't fully dead as he could still feel himself connected to his body, but he wasn't there anymore.
He tried to think on what happened. How had his soul mostly disconnected from his body, still linked, but free from its protective shell.
He had been hit by the glowing energy of Izanami, energy of a divine being who rules of part of death, and then mixed with his energy which was heavily influenced in soul magic, and whatever that giant sea creature was.
Hello can you hear me?
Then combined it must have allowed for his soul to drift somewhere new and random.
Don't ignore me!
What should he do now though? Dream walking he's heard of, researched, but never explored. Soul walking, he's never heard of though.
LISTEN TO ME DAMNIT! STOP TALKING TO YOURSELF!
Raven focused on the voices for once, this one was new. It was then he realized he wasn't quite alone.
A giant dragon stood in a cramped look barrier.

"Sorry, were you talking to me?" Raven asked, somehow speaking aloud, but he realized he wasn't, rather using some form of telepathy.
Yes, I'm glad to see you aren't ignoring the mighty Veldora anymore!
"Is that your name? Veldora?" Raven asked curiously as he tried to take note of how his soul didn't go to the root. It didn't make sense since any soul without a vessel or "weight" to keep it anchored, it would return to the root, or the afterlife possibly, he was probably due for the root as a magician, but perhaps the connection to his body still prevented that.
Hey stop letting your thoughts drift! Pat attention!
"Sorry, I'm used to ignoring the voices I hear in my head, they usually tell me to kill everything human. My planet is very annoying like that." Raven apologized, and he did mean it.
That's fine I suppose. So since you said planet, you just be an otherworlder.
"Perhaps, from what remains of my connection to my abilities and senses as a soul, the energy in the air feels stronger and more potent." Raven said and Veldora laughed loudly shaking the whole cave.
Impressive that as a soul new to this world you can sense the magicules at all. Tell me creature that feels like me brother what is your name?
"Feels like your brother? Oh, my name is Raven Inanis."
Raven Inanis huh? A fine name! I AM VELDORA, THE STORM DRAGON! ONE OF FOUR TRUE DRAGONS IN ALL OF EXISTENCE!
"True dragon? Also don't you get distracted also! What do you mean by I feel like your brother?"
My elder brother, Veldanava, the first true dragon in existence. He created this world, the universe and the many multiverses out there. Sadly he threw away his omnipotence and lived a mortal life and died. However he still felt like the creator, power greater then almost all even without his omnipotence. As for what true dragons are, we are the highest class of existence. We are pillars of existence. The highest tier of spiritual beings. Never killable, we can always come back when we choose to. Not that my brother has chosen too. Though I supposed I won't either this time due to this prison.
"Amazing, why would I feel like a creator being though?" Raven mumbled before he focused on the last part. "What do you mean you will not come back?"
Oh, this prison here is slowly draining my energy, in about two hundred years it will be done and my essence, my version of a soul, will unravel itself and I will die permanently.
Raven could feel the same hopelessness in Veldora that he once felt, he wanted to help him. He didn't like seeing anyone like that the same as him. Perhaps he could slightly help him, a minor piece of his creation abilities remained to him, but nothing crazy.
"How did you end up sealed away?"
I may or may not have been ramping about in a human city burning it down, and this hero appeared to stop me, she was strong, very strong, however by the time I started going all out against her, she had been able to seal me away with her Infinite Prison unique skill. Normally I could bust out any prison, but this one sealed my powers and is stealing my energy to sustain itself.
"I see. Nothing wrong with a rampage, but perhaps not near civilizations that don't deserve it." Raven mused aloud, towards Veldora or himself he wasn't sure.
Exactly! I have spent a hundred years so alone here, I'm just happy to have someone to talk to.
"Well I'm glad to have a conversation with you Veldora. Wanna be friends?"
Why would I, the mighty storm dragon, Veldora, be friends with a mere soul?
"Ok, if you don't want to be, I can just leave." Raven knew that Veldora didn't actually mean that, he was just a bit of a tsundere, that was the terms he was pretty sure he heard kids use online these days.
No wait! I never said I didn't want to be friends!
"Well then Veldora, let's be friends!" Raven declared happily as he moved his soul closer to the edge of the infinite prison barrier.
Yes.
A small golden glow was somehow on them for a moment.
"How about I tell you my story?" Raven asked and Veldora happily accepted.
So for hours, perhaps even days, Raven told Veldora his story and Veldora told him part of his story. Raven wanted to throw down with Veldora's sisters, that wasn't trying to fix Veldora's chaotic personality, that was just torture and cruelty.
Did he deserve punishment? Oh definitely. Death and torture? No!
"and then I plan to-" Raven paused as he felt something wrong, and he quickly realized what it was. He was returning to his body.
Your soul has finally realized it needs to return lest it gain irreversible damage from not having enough energy to cross the barrier between the cardinal world and your universe.
Veldora was surprisingly smart when he had time to freely talk to someone who'd listen and not hate him.
"Yes I suppose so. Hey Veldora, when I come back, I'll have more stories for you! Maybe then I can free you, but for now, as a gift to commemorate our friendship, here's a giant feast on me." Raven said as a large amount of meals appeared on the ground by Veldora's feet and inside the barrier.
You are truly kind Raven Inanis, next time you come back, let us both have more stories to tell each other, I await your return my friend.
Raven tried doing what he felt was a smile at Veldora before he faded away.
A small whisp of dawn energy remained behind and created a rune into the ground of the cave to Veldora's curiousness. Perhaps next time Raven came, if he could come, he could tell him what the rune was.
•~~~~•
Hidden from both Veldora and Raven's sight, a man smiled with two glowing blue eyes before he vanished.
•~~~~•
Raven gasped as he sat straight up, he blinked as his eyes felt dry. With a grunt he cast a time checking spell and realized it had only been an hour.
With a huff he stood up and held his hand out as a sword formed in his hand and it glowed brightly before with a full powered swing, he split the beats into two.
The ocean came rushing in, but Raven didn't care as he flew out of it, but he frowned as he saw the monster breaking apart into pieces of red energy and then vanishing.
"Annoying." He whispered aloud before realizing he was underwater, under the ocean, and then teleported himself above the ocean and opened a portal back to Izanami.
She was now back in his room. He'd punish his kitty, but he made a new friend, so it was worth it.
He also needed to figure out how to soul walk like he did earlier to visit Veldora again. Without all those ridiculous conditions happening too.
So with a plop he landed on his bed and pulled Izanami closer to him and fell asleep, he ignored her squeak of embarrassment as he let himself purposely embrace the realm of Morpheus.
The goddess quickly stopped struggling and just enjoyed the warmth coming off of Raven and fell asleep, though she wondered why he smelt like the ocean, and a weird smell.
•~~~~~•~~~~•~~~~•
Oh yeah, things are starting to kick into gear. Also for those who don't watch Tensura, that's where Veldora is from.
That Time I Got Reincrnated As A Slime
Anyways, if you have any questions feel free to ask, but until next time my dear readers!
Also cookie to anyone who can guess where there the man who turned Raven from feral into half feral.
Peace out!
