Chapter 8: Enslaved's Achievements
"W-What the… What did you… What did you do?!"
"Don't worry about it." Elijah answered as he started running forward.
"Ha?!"
He turned back slightly, throwing his Iron Sword in her way.
"I'm not letting another person die due to their stupidity."
She flinched as the Sword hit the ground, inches away from her feet.
"That's… None of your business."
"Then you shouldn't have appeared in front of me." Elijah clicked his tongue as he pulled out the knife he had received during the Tutorial Quest out of his Inventory. "Plus, you're a minor."
"What does that have to do with anything?" She clenched her teeth before lowering her body to pick up the Iron Sword. "I'm supposed to use this?"
Elijah decided to put her complaining out of mind for now.
'Four Goblins to the left, five to the right, and three ahead of us.' He nodded to himself. 'They're ugly, but far less scary than the Corrupted Harpies. They might have weapons, but they're tiny and physically weak. In the first place, the Harpies had sharp talons so…'
Shriiiek! The closest Goblin exclaimed, causing the other two next to it to turn in Elijah's direction.
While he could've defeated them quite easily, Elijah decided to try something.
'Stings a bit, but it definitely worked then.'
His lips curled up slightly.
"Kill yourselves."
The Goblins' eyes immediately widened once those words were uttered.
They shrieked while their arms twitched, the tips of their rusty knives slowly turning towards their own necks.
'Four seconds.'
That was the time it took for the twitching of the Goblins' arms to stop.
'An order like that won't be followed, huh?'
By this time, the distance separating Elijah from the Goblin trio was only a couple of steps.
"Let go of your knife."
Drop-
Elijah's smile widened.
'The Absolute Authority only applies to those I'm trying to order, if it applied to all those within earshot, it would have been trouble.' He smirked.
Indeed, only the Goblin he had stared at when uttering the words had let go of its knife.
Elijah's gaze turned towards the ground of five Goblins to the right, and he took a deep breath in.
"Fight to the death."
He ordered, and the group of five started twitching.
The closest Goblin of the trio leaped forward, and Elijah stuck his knife into its chest with great accuracy as he took hold of that same Goblin's wrist and disarmed it.
'Absolute Authority will give me more slaves.' The knife in the Goblin's hand fell to the ground, and so did its body. 'I can farm weapons as well… Even if they're just Rusty Knives.'
The unarmed Goblin was grabbed by the throat while the other was grabbed by the wrist.
Testing the full extent of his Stats, Elijah was satisfied by the cracking sound that echoed from both the grabbed wrist and the grabbed neck.
"This is going to be easy." He whispered to himself, letting go of the dead Goblins.

"With close to 880 Participants, that leaves about 220 per Boss Monster and Area." Elijah scratched his chin. "D-Rank Difficulty… Isn't this going to be too easy?"
A scream reminded him of why it wouldn't be as easy as he thought.
"N-Nooooo! These disgusting things… Ew! Help me! Please!" She shouted as she ran towards Elijah.
Of the group of 5 Goblins, two were left.
'Does that mean they broke the Absolute Authority after some time? My Authority should be Absolute over those weaker than me… And these Goblins are way weaker.'
Elijah thought for a bit, only realizing it once his newly-acquired Slave was cowering behind him.
"Oh. I ordered them to Fight to the death, not to Fight to the death amongst each other." He nodded.
"Here! Take it!" She tried to hand him the Iron Sword, but he didn't take it.
"I gave it to you so that you would have more reach. Go kill them."
"I can't!"
"Kill them." Elijah ordered.
"Ugh…!" She closed her eyes shut as the Mark that had been left on the back of her wrist started burning. "I… Can't!"
Elijah sighed.
"They're getting closer."
"You fight them! You're strong enough! Super strong!"
He rubbed his eyes, already regretting his decision.
"You got a name?"
"It's Marianne! Now, go-"
Tingle-
"Fight them."
Marianne's eyes suddenly narrowed, and the trembling of her body stopped.
'Ordering her through Absolute Authority is easier.' Elijah thought to himself as Marianne walked to stand in front of him, both hands holding the hilt of the Iron Sword. 'The Slave Mark could have done the job, but inflicting unnecessary pain on a minor is a bit… In the first place, I'm trying to help here.'
"H… How am I supposed to fight it?"
Elijah smiled as his gaze locked on one of the Goblins.
"Stop."
And the Goblin did.
"You're supposed to fight 1-on-1."
"I meant how do I…" Marianne gulped.
The approaching Goblin was too close for any further questions.
'Just because I order her to fight doesn't mean that she loses other capabilities. Good.'
Marianne stepped forward and the Goblin leaped forward.
"Ugh…!" She rotated her blade awkwardly, causing the Goblin's knife to strike her Sword's blade. "Huh?"
She stared in utter confusion.
'The push… There was basically none. Am I… Am I actually stronger than this thing??'
"Hurry it up." Elijah ordered as the group of four Goblins started approaching.
Those words caused her body to move instinctively. Not because of the Absolute Authority, but because she could tell that the Mark on her wrist would start burning again if she didn't.
The lonely Goblin stayed back, waiting for its brethren to-
Before they could get there, a deep and diagonal wound was traced on its chest and stomach, causing pained shrieks to exit the Goblin's mouth as it fell to the ground.
"That…" She slowly turned towards Elijah. "Was easier than I thought it would be."
While she thought he would smile or smirk, all Marianne got was an exasperated sigh.
Shrieek!
She turned towards the group of four, brandishing the Iron Sword and,
"Kill each other."

'Hm.' Without a word, Elijah started walking towards the three fallen Goblins he had ordered to -Fight to the death- and noticed that they were still breathing. 'The Skill isn't as straightforward as it seems. The five fought to the death for a bit. Two fell. The three healthy ones fought each other, leaving those out of commission on the ground. Once two were left, that's when one or both realized that there were others they could Fight to the death.'
Marianne pointed with a trembling finger.
"D-Do I have to kill it?"
"Yes. Do it."
[You have Defeated 1 "Goblin[F]" through one of the Enslaved.]
'Oho. I guess I didn't have the Corrupted Harpies kill anything.'
[By default, 90% of your Enslaved's Achievements are yours.]
"How authoritarian." Elijah smiled.
[The percentage can be changed at will.]
"Yeah, I don't think so."
