Chapter 6: [6] Live a healthy life
Zick laid on the bed with a blank face.
For now, he memorised the destiny grades. He grew a little wary towards Celene too, he couldn't afford to mess up and make an enemy now.
'Cautiousness is the key to success...' Zick remembered his hellish days in the underworld.
Memorising all the placement of his things before leaving the room. Keeping an eye on the surroundings, whether walking in a crowd or alone. Hoping that no one would stab him out of nowhere.
He lived on the edge of paranoia and he still did so now.
He had sacrificed everything for his revenge.
Zick placed his hand above his heart, a promise he had forgotten for a while, emerged: 'My heart belongs to what lies at the end of this journey.'
Zick's mind thought about the future, but his heart lived in the past. Until the completion of his revenge, he might never be able to move forward.
'No matter how much I refine my hatred, sacrifice my blood and life - It is all to destroy Ethereal. I can only disappoint others who expect anything from me...'
Zick closed his eyes.
It felt as if the world was sinking and everything was frozen in place. Which always made Zick wonder if the time had stopped. This feeling was the reason for his past paranoia.
He always looked for things that would prove he was moving forward.
At this point, Zick realized.
His hatred had taken precedence over his father's safety and everything.
'There are priorities in life, but that doesn't mean you have to sacrifice lesser priority for the higher one. I won't sacrifice my father wantonly either...'
This Realization didn't cause any emotional fluctuation within Zick, his red eyes glowed more dimmer than before.
The longer you live, the more you understand yourself and continue growing. It was just a normal process, Zick understood himself more than others, as he had the habit of tempering his resolution.
Sharpening his fangs to one day kill Ethereal with it.
'Tch, if I was in some cultivation novel, my dao heart might already be perfect.' Zick tried to pull himself up from melancholy, it was not an unfamiliar sensation to him anymore.
After returning to his usual calmness, Zick took a look at his storage ring. After going through everything and memorising them, he took out his mobile and headphones from it.
Wearing the headphones, Zick played the first song he got in his playlist.
'Next, I need to create a hit list...'
Zick knew of all the traitors that would betray his father and join the Ethereal. Not removing such ungrown buds now would be stupid.
Opening the notebook in his phone, Zick froze for a second. He didn't know if someone was keeping an eye on his phone. He knew of the high security in his phone, but still.
'I'm better off writing their names in a diary or something...'
Zick didn't carry any books in his storage ring, much less a diary. He could only call and order secretary Selina to bring one for him, along with some energy drinks.
His father would visit him tomorrow, so he had to finish the list within the night. He couldn't remember everything but he knew about his father and Aster's visit timing at least.
Zick's mind had unconsciously made the memories of this time blurry. It had a very big impact on him before regression after all.

Secretary Selina walked in with somewhat urgent strides.
Zick pulled down the headphone on his ears.
"Here is what you ordered, Young master. I will be retiring now to the office, so please inform your driver if there's any other work."
Seeing Secretary Selina leaving hurriedly, Zick didn't stop her.
'She used to be so respectable even in emergency. Now, she is already not caring about what I, a waste, has to say...' Zick felt a little hypocritical internally.
Zick turned towards the things Selina placed on the table from her storage ring.
Fuzz!
Unsealing a can of energy drink, Zick picked up the new diary and began writing with a serious expression.
Along the name of the people, who needed to be purged, Zick further added proof of their betrayal too.
This way, his father will just have to verify and then execute them immediately. They would have a good reason for their actions.
'I need to further borrow some assassins from my father, to poison Celene and Aster...Let's reveal my sword intent, that should be enough for him to grant me anything.'
Zick's father doted on him just as much as he was strict. So, any progress must be rewarded handsomely!
Time slipped past while Zick almost finished half of the diary. The pen in his hand stopped at last.
'I have tried my best to not write about any future incidents and normally deduce their betrayal. I even wrote down about the future traitors and just pointed towards them as suspicious.'
The trust between Zick and his father was very high. He wasn't worried about this diary being ignored.
'Father might consider me a genius, I guess. But that's alright...'
Zick needed to take over this continent and then the other continents too. He planned on making the pristine sky continent his stronghold and then the whole world!
'Now it all depends on whether my ability can keep up with my plans...' A sharp glint appeared on Zick's red eyes.
Zick didn't grow over confident, there were many monsters who lived for thousands of years. Possessing knowledge that Zick could only look up to.
After placing the diary within his ring, he looked out of the window only to see it was late in the night.
Cliiicck~
The door was slowly opened, Zick tilted his head to take a look.
A white robot with squarish arms greeted Zick, holding food in its hand. Slowly moving beside Zick, with its leg made of small tires.
Placing the food on the table, it went away without making a sound.
'The mechanical advancement right now must be low. I remember there were only A-rank mechas at this time...I should tell my father to buy some stocks in that field.'
Zick knew about the horrifying development of mecha or any scientific weapon would go through in the future.
After finishing the light soup, which was made for patients, Zick decided to sleep without hesitation.
Not surprisingly, He couldn't sleep for a long time, even after closing his eyes. He had a urge to order some sleeping tablets, but held it within.
'Lets live a healthy life...' There wasn't particular reason for this decision, Zick just felt like doing it.
