Destroying My Own World

Chapter 305: A great man.

Alion squinted her eyes as she stared at Mykel, and then the throne she was sitting on, reshaped itself into a massive sword that looked like a drill and a lance. Each curve of the sword looked so sharp and it would be lethal even to get hit by it because the frostbite would kill anyone.

Mykel noticed that Alion was indeed more powerful than before, more powerful than her final awakening. Her ice had become an absolute and solid object that couldn't be melted or even perhaps destroyed. With that being said, Mykel couldn't wait to test it out and dashed forward with his fists ready.

The moment his right fist and Alion's sword collided, a mist was created and blew everyone away. The mist became a thick steam that was hot enough to melt the ice it touched, and it was boiling hot for the Awakeners.

They couldn't see anything until the steam disappeared, and that was when they saw Mykel standing still in the middle of the hall. They were still in disbelief at how powerful he was, but what shocked them the most was when they saw Alion lying on the ground. The sword shattered into tiny pieces and she lost the left side of her body after that one clash with him.

They saw a notification of the rift clearance, and then a scripture in the shape of a panel appeared right in front of them. The scripture was like a warning and an enlightenment for them to prepare for the next challenge.

"We have seen at least four Zero Tier gifted. They were indeed terrifying, but I have never seen someone like him. He's on a different league," A woman with purple hair said and looked at Mykel staring at Alion's dead body.

Mykel could hear their conversation, admiring and suspecting about his power and his identity. He didn't care about it because he saw something interesting inside Alion's body. An orb-like gem that glowed dimly inside her chest, and then he grabbed it to check what it was.

"You can say that's her essence. It's not her soul, but a ball of her existence. You can bring her back to life and you can use your power to give her memories back," Aevia explained as she sat next to Alion's dead body and she looked disappointed because the battle ended so quickly. "I should have made her stronger," she said to herself.

"You should," Mykel glanced at Aevia as she put the gem in his trouser's pocket. "So the Demon Princesses have become the calamity in this world. To think Jeanne and the others are the Gods of this world kind of reminds me of the past," he said and watched Alion's body turn into ice dust until it totally evaporated with the palace.

"Is it really that surprising?" Aevia asked and tried to grasp the ice dust, but she couldn't do it since she had no physical body.

"So my mission here is to eliminate all of them until there's no such a thing as higher being?" Mykel asked with his eyebrows raised

"That's what I have been looking for," Aevia nodded her head and she looked excited. "You must be as curious as I am, correct? What kind of world where there are no higher beings that control their lives? Will they thrive as one or kill each other to thrive and become the only one," she added as she looked at the Awakeners standing at the door.

"You're asking the wrong person," Mykel said as he walked toward the door. "I'm someone who would love to trample on others no matter who they are," he continued, and then he stood right in front of Devlin and Aleric.

They all looked at Mykel without blinking their eyes, and then he walked past them without saying anything. They all looked at him leaving the palace, and so they followed him since there was nothing else they could do inside the rift except to dismantle and dismember the monsters for materials.

"What do you want me to do now?" Mykel asked after he blended in with the crowds and made himself invisible to the naked eye.

"You do you. I don't have any particular request, and I think you should do the plan you have on your mind," Aevia answered as she walked next to him. "Meet Her Majesty," she pointed out.

"I'll do that later. I need a drink and I want to try the cigarette from this world," Mykel said and then went to the convenience store.

Mykel bought different brands of cigarettes and a bottle of vodka and whiskey in the liquor store. He went to a different park, a smaller one, and enjoyed his cigarette as he thought about the moves he should make.

While he was enjoying his cigarette, he noticed that there were fewer and fewer people who walked around him. The park became empty in just a few minutes after he noticed that, and not long after that, a group of people in a suit walked toward him.

He glanced at them and that was enough to put all of them on guard, preparing for the countermeasures. The man in the front was as calm as ever, and then he stood right in front of Mykel with his dark red eyes and black hair.

"Please follow us," The man said.

Mykel read the man's thoughts and memories and he found out those men were the Zero Tier gifted. They were sent after they found out about Mykel and what he did inside the rift. He was amazed by how fast the information reached the Queen's ear and how she sent them to find him.

Mykel put out the cigarette and followed the man without resisting as the others stood right next to and behind him. He felt like a prisoner rather than an honorable guest since he could sense their intentions.

Devlin and his team were on their way back to their base, and they saw Mykel being escorted into the black SUV car. They thought those Zero Tier gifted were picking him up since he was an important figure. The rumor about Mykel as the strongest Zero Tier gifted spread around the kingdom, but since they didn't know his name, the rumor only said that the eleventh rift was cleared by one person, the strongest Zero Tier gifted.

Mykel entered the massive palace where the Queen lived and her family lived and ruled the whole country. He looked at the guards who held the same weapon, a gun sword that they sheathed on their waists. A sword that could bullet and it didn't use powder or bullet but they used magic, an artificial magic.

"Wait here," The Black-haired man said as he pointed at the room next to him.

Mykel entered the room and it looked like an interrogation room, and so he sat there and waited. It didn't take five minutes until the man came back with a woman holding a binder and a laptop.

"If you cooperate, it will be better for both of us," The man said as he stood in the corner and leaned his back against the gray wall with his arms crossed.

"How's Elestria?" Mykel asked as he leaned on the chair and looked at the man.

Both the man and the woman scornfully glared at Mykel and they were furious by what he said. The name that Mykel said was the name of the queen, and nobody dared to say her name, even with the title. Everyone called her the Queen, and nobody was allowed to have the same name as her, that was why they were furious at him.

The man's eyes turned completely red like a demon as he glared at Mykel, but he was surprised when his power couldn't reach Mykel. His power was [Blood Manipulation], making his target die painfully, and couldn't do anything to prevent their own death.

The man glanced at the woman and nodded his head, the woman then pressed something inside her pocket. An alarm could be heard outside the room, and they could hear footsteps coming toward the room.

"Get your hands above your head," The woman said as she pointed a gun at Mykel.

"All I did was ask a question. Don't be so nervous," Mykel smirked as he raised his hands. "I'm not a spy, and I'm not planning to harm anyone," he said to the woman.

The woman squinted her eyes and it was unnerving when Mykel could read her thoughts. But that didn't stop her from being cautious and suspicious of him.

"Do you know what you call a great man?" Mykel asked with his hands still up in the air.

Both the man and the woman looked at each other with confused looks. They didn't know why suddenly Mykel asked that question, but they couldn't help but wonder about the answer.

"You should know the answer, Tristan," Mykel said and looked at the man.

The man was surprised that Mykel knew his name even though there was no way Mykel could find his name. That name was his real name and not his agent's name and only his family knew his real name.

"A great man is a keen and remarkable man who can be put anywhere and still thrive, just like you. But, a great man can be a dangerous man with a good moral and know when to hold back," Mykel said. "So, I'll cooperate and I have no intention to harm anyone," he added and looked at them with a serious expression.

Tristan looked at Mykel and he knew why Mykel didn't resist, not even once because he was strong. Tristan realized that what Mykel said about a great man would be a hint about who he was, a dangerous man with morals.

"I believe you," Tristan said as he lowered the gun in the woman's hands.

Mykel nodded his head and started answering questions that the woman asked. He gave his real name and age, but other than that, he made everything all up based on the information he got from reading people's memories.

"About your power," The woman paused as she wrote all the information down.

"That's something the Queen should hear herself. My power is too dangerous as you both have noticed," Mykel answered. "It would be better if you two don't know about my power," he added and his voice and expression made both of them have chills down their spines.

"We understand that, and we will give the information you provided to Her Majesty the Queen," The woman said as she stood up and grabbed all her stuff. "Please wait here and we will tell you when you will meet her," she added and then left the room with Tristan.

Mykel put a cigarette in his mouth, and then Aevia appeared right in front of him, sitting on the table with her legs crossed. She was staring down at Mykel with her chin resting on her palm which was resting on her thigh.

"I'm curious," Aevia said.

"About what?" Mykel asked and lit the cigarette as he looked at Aevia.

"You're a womanizer, and I have seen it many times. But, I want to see you doing it right in front of me," Aevia answered. "Let's just say, that's one of the tasks you have to do for me," she added and smiled underneath the white cloth.

"Okay. Who's the target?" Mykel asked.

"The Queen, Elestria," Aevia answered.
