Destroying My Own World

Chapter 428: A wedding.

Everyone was watching from the sides as Mykel and his other self was having a match of the chess game. Although it had been their hundredth match, both of them couldn't win against each other. They both knew how to scheme against each other and they both ended up in a stalemate every single time.

This time, Mykel suddenly had a lot of upper hands, putting his other self in a very tight spot and an unfavorable position. Mykel looked at the board with a smirk on his face because he knew and his other self knew that he was going to win, deciding who would become the older brother.

"How did you do it?" Mykel's other self asked as he tried to find an opportunity to make a comeback. "Suddenly you managed to take all the pawns and saw through me," he added.

"The answer to that is simple..." Mykel paused as he moved the king and took the last chess piece that would give his other self a chance to make a change. "I'm not thinking about how to win each match we had, I'm thinking of winning the game in our hundredth match. I'm learning and planning the moves I'm going to do in this match long before we even start playing," he answered.

Mykel's other self was surprised that he got outplayed by Mykel and that he had been under Mykel's palm. He wasn't disappointed in himself, he was rather amazed by Mykel's way of thinking.

"It's my loss..." Mykel's other self flicked his king as he sighed and leaned on the chair. "Looks like I lost because you have more experience than me since you have been through a lot more than me," he pointed out and looked at Mykel.

"If you want a rematch, just come and see me," Mykel stood up as he put a cigarette in his mouth. "It's time for me to go now. I promised Lyn to spend my time with her," he said.

"Yeah, it's time for us to leave as well," Mykel's other self put a cigarette in his mouth and looked at his team. "Don't forget to come and visit us," he looked at Mykel.

Mykel only waved as he walked to the cabin and didn't even bother to look back at his other self.

Mykel's other self decided to live inside the novel world and created his own world there. Everyone left with him after they said goodbye to their other selves.

When Mykel entered the cabin, he saw Lyneth talking with Gaia, Hera, and Laufey. The mothers, that was what he thought when he looked at them together at the same table. He then looked at Lyneth and realized even though she was among the most beautiful Goddesses, she was the brightest of them all.

"Who won? Do you want some tea?" Lyneth raised her eyebrows as she looked at Mykel walking toward her.

"I won. It was quite intense to think I could win against myself," Mykel answered. "Can you give me your hand," Mykel said as he reached out his hand at Lyneth.

Lyneth raised her eyebrows with a confused look, and when she put her left hand on Mykel's, she was shocked when Mykel suddenly went down to his knee. Hera, Gaia, and Laufey gasped and immediately jolted from their chairs to look at those two. They never thought Mykel would make that move to anyone.

"I know what you want to say, and I know how hard it is for you to say it..." Lyneth said before Mykel could open his mouth.

"Yes, but I want you to hear it from my mouth," Mykel said as he grabbed a ring, a black ring made from the void. "I love you, Lyneth Leonis. Would you marry me?" He asked and showed his genuine smile at Lyneth.

"Yes!" Lyneth said in excitement.

Mykel put the ring on her ring finger, and then Gaia and Laufey told everyone about it. Everyone came in and they were shocked when they saw Mykel on his knee while Lyneth hugged him so tightly. It was the second beautiful moment because the first one was when she gave birth to Elena.

"Amy, can you do me a favor?" Mykel looked at Amaryllis. "Can you prepare a wedding place for us?" He added.

"Of course! I'll gladly make the perfect place for you two," Amaryllis smiled widely and then left to make the place for Mykel and Lyneth.

Everyone congratulated Lyneth and they were happy for her while at the same time jealous that Mykel chose her and not them. But they understood why he chose her since Lyneth gave birth to Elena who was precious to him.

Amaryllis finished the task and brought everyone to the wedding place where the beautiful and massive trees covered the sky. Waterfalls were in front of them and there was a big altar in the middle between the big trees and the waterfalls. The mist, the chill winds, the smell of flowers, and the unknown nice scent of the trees released made it even better.

"Now, I guess it's time for us ladies to do some makeover on Lyneth since today is her special day," Hera said as she grabbed Lyneth's arm. "You boys should do the same," she pointed out.

Lyneth was kidnapped by Hera and the others, leaving Mykel and the boys in that place.

"What are we going to do now, boss?" Gunnar looked at Mykel who was admiring the scenery.

"Who knows? This is something new to me, so I have no idea what we should do," Mykel answered as he turned around to look at every one. "You should suit up and look good for the wedding at least," he pointed out.

Everyone looked at their own shirt and realized they needed to dress up for the wedding. They all left and asked Amaryllis to help them make the suit they wanted to wear for the wedding. Mykel stayed behind since he was always in his best appearance and there was nothing he needed to change.

When Mykel was smoking his cigarette while leaning on the pillar and staring at the waterfalls, he heard footsteps coming toward him. He looked at who it was and he was surprised when he saw Elena in her seven-year-old body, wearing a cute white dress with Little Sasha next to her.

"Elena?" Mykel furrowed his eyebrows as he went down on his knees to be on the same level as Elena. "Why are you in this form?" He added.

"I don't want to steal the highlight of the wedding, so I decided to be in this form. I think it's proper since this is what other people do on their wedding days," Elena answered as she looked at her dress. "By the way, I'm here to give you this," she put a light in the form of a rose in Mykel's suit pocket.

Mykel looked at how beautiful the flower was and then suddenly Elena hugged him tightly.

"I heard your conversation with mother back then and the promise you made. I have thought that I should act like her daughter for once. A cute little daughter that she treasures," Elena whispered and then let go of her arms around Mykel's neck. "Let's make her happy," she added and smiled at Mykel.

Mykel nodded in agreement and then he kissed Elena's forehead.

"Did Lyn know you're going to be in this form later?" Mykel asked.

"No, I'm going to surprise her and can you give me the ring? I'm going to give the wedding ring to mother when the time comes," Elena answered and reached out her small hand at Mykel. Experience more tales on My Virtual Library Empire

Mykel gave the wedding ring to Elena and then Elena and little Sasha left the altar happily. He never thought that Elena still could have that carefree side and act properly like a small kid.

Everyone came back in their best suit and dress, it was quite unnerving for Mykel since he had never thought he would be getting married. Apollo and Aphrodite started playing their harp, lifting the atmosphere and making everyone feel calm, at peace, and excited at the same time.

When Lyneth came with her beautiful long white dress, everyone was stunned by her beauty because her long red hair stood out more. Her face was covered with a veil, making everyone curious as to how she looked after the makeover. She walked slowly to the altar and then stood in front of Mykel, hiding her face from him.

Everyone was still fixed on Lyneth until Elena and little Sasha came to the altar holding hands. They were surprised and had forgotten how cute Elena was in that form, and that made Lyneth speechless and couldn't help covering her mouth because of the cuteness of her daughter.

"Since everyone is here, let's start the ceremony," Amaryllis appeared behind Mykel and Lyneth as she cleared her throat.

Mykel slowly unveiled and saw Lyneth's face in that beautiful dress. Although she barely did anything to her face, somehow she looked prettier than ever. She looked so happy and her teary eyes showed how happy she was. He then held Lyneth's hand and prepared to say his vows in front of everyone.

"I, Mykel Alester, take you, Lyneth Leonis, to be my wedded wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part," Mykel said as he stared into Lyneth's eyes.

"I, Lyneth Leonis, take you, Mykel Alester, to be my wedded husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part," Lyneth responded as she stared into Mykel's eyes.

They both exchanged rings and put them in their ring fingers.

"I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride," Amaryllis looked at Mykel.

Mykel kissed Lyneth and everyone clapped and cheered for both of them.
