Devil Slave (Satan system)

Chapter 1103: The Game of Counsciousness And Life 3

It was an incredible sight. One box had just his color and his hard wooden skin floating on it. Another had his muscle formation, another had his skeleton system, another had his internal organs, another had his arms, another his legs, another even had his law comprehensions. At the position of the Queen in a chess game was his soul, actively floating in mid air.

His soul was at the red level. It was indeed a very high rank soul.

Practically, speaking, his body had been shared to occupy the positions on the Chess board, while the Sea Elf Demon stood on the square that represented the king.

Surprisingly, the inner organs of the Draid were more fleshy than Lenny had thought they would be, even its heart and lungs that served on either sides as the white and black bishop all pulsated with life.

In fact, they all remained functioning as they should. The heart still beat, and the lungs expanded and contracted as if taking in Oxygen.

His body had been evenly shared to all the squares. Meaning that the Draid was very much separated into many pieces, but he was still very much alive and also conscious of what was going on.

Lenny frowned at this. he could not help but wonder what kind of incredible law was responsible for this. No, it seemed like it was more of a series of laws.

Then again, it made sense in his head now that he thought about it. A combination of runes that were very similar in nature made up Law. In this manner, it was only safe to say that Laws could in theory be combined to produce such an incredible effect, breaking the common sense of life’s disposition while still maintaining its core composition.

This was indeed an amazing thing to witness.

Lenny could not help but feel his nerdish parts tingle with the hunger for knowledge, after all, he did not know that they could be combined like this.

The closest he had ever been to laws used simultaneously was in seeing the Devil that mixed blood and crystal together.

In fact, that had not been a perfect combination. After all, it was only staining the crystal with the blood effect to bring about degeneration of the foe in mind.

Although not bad, it was still nothing compared to what his eyes were seeing at the moment.

Lenny had questions, a lot of them, but he knew that she had to keep shut. Most interestingly, the Old Elf by his side was not surprised by the division made by the laws.

It was almost like he expected something like this to happen. Of course, he struck his beard, being very fascinated by it.

Lenny watched on. He had a feeling that what was going to happen next would be the interesting part.

The Devil with the big brain on his seat suddenly raised its head, revealing eyes that betrayed its intelligence.

And then it raised a hand, and devil, representing a knight on the chess board made a huge leap, landing on a square.

"It has began!" Lenny muttered lowly as he observed closely.

Brother dan also waved his hand, "Pawn to e4." The moment he gave the order, a leg that belonged to brother woody stepped forward appropriately.

(Author’s note: I am going to skip the chess terms and moves, cause not a lot of you know them, and will just bore you. Although I had a very interesting scene planned out.)

And so the moves were made. One person would play at a time. And at first, Brother van had the opportunity for the first strike.

Instantly, Brother Woody’s body merged up together, allowing him the opportunity to strike the devil down. Its blood and organs, staining the giant chess board.

However, the chess board seemed to absorb the blood and organs, dissolving them into nothingness on the ground.

On the other hand, the Devil who had lost a chess piece did not seem to fault at the experience, betraying no facial expression whatsoever.

And so the game continued, and this time around, Brother woody had found himself on the receiving end of the blow. A strike from one of the Devil chess piece, and he lost both his arms.

Brother Dan apologized for this. And one look on his face and Lenny could see the strain clearly. After all, a part of the person lost was a part gone for ever.

But there was more. After all, this was a devil’s chess game. There was always more when it came to these beings of chaos than what met the eyes, and Lenny could tell that it was coming soon.

The next attack from the devil and brother woody lost one lung.

Lenny could see that breathing had suddenly become difficult for him. But he had a determined look on his face, even screaming at brother Dan. "Don’t stop brother! I believe in you. Your mind has gotten us through many many adversaries, even against those we faced while being members of lower race amongst the royal family. I believe that you will not fail me now."

The worse part was that the pain he evidently felt from losing his body parts was written all over his face. All parts of his body still felt it like it was one body.

Brother Dan gritted his teeth as he continued to play, the pressure to win mounting. Meanwhile, Lenny noticed that one side of the Devil’s lips, seating in the distance had elevated in a smile.

"interesting!" lenny muttered.

The game continued and Lenny noticed that they were moves that he expected the devil to make but it did not make them. Although the goal of any chess game was to defeat the king, reducing other pieces on the board was only normal. However, in times when it could have struck, it would not, choosing to even sacrifice one of its own piece entirely.

lenny had a bad feeling about this.

It was at this moment that it happened. The devil moved a piece that tricked brother Dan, and another Devil piece moved forward, standing right before brother woody’s Consciousness, a floating mass of cloud, representing his conscious thought process. And it was the devil’s turn to attack.
