Chapter 1112: Corrupter Is Picky
A very long time ago, down the river that is time.
The Morningstar had come to rule Hell. The one place were the most disturbing of creatures were thrown in. Creatures that were considered to be mistakes in creation. Creatures that their malice and and ability for destruction was second to none.
However, even in such a place that flanked the edged of the universe as a whole, Order had made its way here.
However, it was made with the strict respect of power and destruction capability in mind.
It was primal and unchallenged, and all other creatures of the universe prayed to never be victims of such a place. After all, it was the justification that one had lost favor in the eyes of the one above all.
And everyone knew that the worst thing that could happen to a person was for one to lose the favor of the eyes of their creator. Surely that person was doomed.
However, the loss of favor was not the lose of power or ability. This much was proven by the Morningstar, whom after his visit to different sides of creation had finally decided that he was going to make this land his home.
However, Hell already had its rules. And demons ruled the land.
But the Morningstar did not see their overall power as capable. After all, they had been intentionally limited by their fate.
All that was what he had come to change, and he would do this with the introduction of his bloodline.
At the rank of morningstar, there was no power that was above his, except for that of his creator.
and so he picked the strongest of demons. At the time they were eight of them all. And then he blessed them with showers from his veins.
they fed on hos blood and essence for days, and then their bodies and soul were changed forever.
They became the founders of their respective bloodlines and would carve out sections of Hell for their own rule. They would pull in the other minor lords of hell to their side, under their wings or kill them if they refused to submit.
This was how the Royal families of demons were built. On a mountain of blood, and anarchy.
the Morningstar had bestowed his gift, and those that he had anointed with his blood became the royal families. However, power had an attraction about it that was most seductive after one had gotten a small taste of it.
There was no one that was not tempted by the aroma. Even the Morningstar had tried to Overthrow its creator back in heaven.
It was only natural that his reign would see the same fate in hell.
However, his incredible foresight allowed for him to see this coming. And so he did something else, but in secret.
For the longest of time he had been conducting his own experiments with the nature of demons, and had a deep understanding of the nature of corruption. After all, in nature and creation, he was the first of its kind.
Thus, he introduced his own corruption into the origin nature of Demons, and that was when the first Devils were created.
However, he did not make the knowledge of their existence known, not until the first rebellion of the royal demon families that sought to take the seat of ruler from him.
With them, examples were made, and the Devils were at the forefront of the attack against the Morningstar.
For the truth was that, the Morningstar had finally perfected control at a genetic level within the body of demons, but that was with the infection of his corruption.
Meaning that while the Primordial Demons were blessed with the offering of his blood, the Devils were blessed with the Offering of his corruption.
An entire royal family was instantly destroyed, even their name lost to the Annul of time, while the other was forever imprisoned. A constant reminder to the other Royal families, just in case their hunger for power was so strong that it could not be cupped.
Such was the reign of his rule over his subjects. The Rule of chains and a Iron fist.
While the Morningstar blessed the demons with the blood from his veins, he cursed the devils with Corruption birthed in his essence but incubated in his Holy Tool Anguis.
A Holy Tool with three sides. The First side, which was the fork with; Kill, Steal and Destroy as the forerunners. The second part was the womb, also known as the Corrupter.
It was in this place that Demons became Devils. A race of beings that could never refuse the will of the Morningstar. They were loyal to him in every regard.
It was for this reason that Chaos magic could corrupt demons and in turn, make them become devils. This was the design. It had always been.
The Morningstar’s Holy Tool is one of the greatest artefact of the universe, and anyone in control of it has literally found themselves on the helm of power.
Lenny could definitely understand why the Corrupter would hide here.
It was closest to the Codex which was the heart of the Morningstar that was in Purgatory. A place filled with fallen angels that could never leave.
However, Demons were never on good terms with angels, and even though they were still imprisoned, no one really would want to serve here.
Of course, no Principality or Power. Only individuals like the Sisters of Eve would be willing to take on such an assignment.
Now, Lenny was definitely sure that those two knew what this Dungeon’s true nature was.
As Lenny floated in the empty space with the others.
The soul image of a beautiful woman flew towards him. This woman was none other than Glenn. She was ethereal in form, and her clothes barely covered her body.
They looked like they were in water—Floating in the air. Her skin was light and the gaze of it instantly brought memories ’this’ Lenny did not even know that he had.
She was beautiful in every definition and description of the word.
However, Lenny frowned. He looked to his side, at the Old Elf. He could see the gaze in his eyes, and he instantly understood.
"You giving us ILLUSIONS of our desires is a very bold move. Do you believe that I won’t take offense?"
Lenny spoke up.
"Forgive me, master’s beloved. I do not have a true form, or at least not one that you can behold at the moment, and thus, I rather present myself in one that you can easily be fond with." The Corrupter replied.
Lenny looked closely at the image of Glenn. He wouldn’t say that he liked this method. But at the moment, he had no choice.
"All the tests in this area are your handy work, aren’t there?"
"Well, if you mean, preparations for my meal—then yes!" She waved her hand, and a box appeared in the distance. In that one, the Contesters were playing a game of tag with the devils. Their being had been divided up just like the chess game where brother woody and brother Dan had died.
Lenny turned to her, "to what end?"
"for—fun basically." she answered with no remorse in her voice. Like a child being asked why she was playing with toys.
"It gets boring here. so I thought I play while I enjoy the meal. After all, taking the form of a dungeon allows me the justification of my snacks."
Lenny nodded. In understanding. However, he had other goals. Of course he was smart and could not state that he had outrightly come here to conquer the dungeon. After all, conquering the dungeon was conquering her.
And Lenny had managed to get a taste of her power. The Corrupter was nothing like Kill, steal or Destroy. She was even capable of gifting out laws as rewards.
This to an extent meant that she was able to mold them as she sort fit.
Laws could change the fate of millions of people and she could literally shit them out in her fun.
Lenny reckoned that the other things she must be capable of doing must also be very incredible, but he had something else in mind for now.
"Submit to me!" he stated.
Corrupter paused a bit, and then her eyes flattered as she looked at him top to bottom. "I am not like Kill, steal and destroy. I am not so easily conquered by the mere shadow of my master’s will."
Her body moved like a dance around him.
And then she stopped before him. "I am...PICKY! very picky." she whispered in his ears. "Besides, i can see it. You are incomplete. Your soul is lacking."
Lenny frowned, "I am complete enough."
"Oh really, then Why don’t you summon, Kill, or steal, or maybe even destroy. I can smell their aura on you. You must have them in Master’s system. I’m I right?"
Lenny frowned at this. after all, he knew more than anyone that summoning Anguis with an incomplete soul was practically suicide....
