Dimensional Keeper: All My Skills Are at Level 100

Chapter 129: Intention to Kill

Nathan trembled in rage. He had never been ridiculed to this degree by anyone, especially not by someone whom he considered nothing but trash.

"You think by reaching us, you can achieve the same level of status as us?" he growled at Max.

Max shrugged. "I don't care about your status." He sneered, looking down at him. "If being in a status like yours would make me a retard, then I very much want to stay away from someone like you."

Nathan smiled, his expression cruel. "A wise choice, but spoken at the wrong time."

Turning to the blob of slime who was intriguingly watching the scene, he asked, "Is there any rule against using my strength to make anyone fall?"

The blob of slime smiled wickedly. "There is no such rule. Your only goal is to reach the top of the monolith, so it doesn't matter how you get there."

"Good." A sinister smile appeared on Nathan's face.

"You shouldn't do what you have in mind, Nathan," Princess Aveline warned, her expression solemn.

Nathan turned to her. "While I respect your highness the princess, I simply couldn't stand by and watch trash like him get the better of me." He said, his expression cruel. "Either he goes down, or I do."

"Hehe, you're good, Nathan." Evlin smiled as she made a cutting gesture across her neck.

Max saw them and understood what they were planning, causing a sneer to appear on his face. "I'll see you guys soon."

With those words, he took off. He began ascending the monolith once again, surprising the geniuses at the 350-meter mark.

"You aren't going anywhere!" Nathan shouted as he followed right behind Max.

"Let's go. The best part's about to start," Tom sneered, also following behind them. Experience tales at My Virtual Library Empire

Princess Aveline frowned, seeing their underhanded means to make someone fall from the monolith.

"Don't frown, princess, it doesn't look good on you," Evlin sneered as she quickly resumed her climb. The young man with the scar followed right behind her.

Just at that moment, Alex reached the 350-meter mark.

"How strong is the kid with the white hair?" Aveline asked Alex.

Alex glanced at her, frowning. He had taken in everything that had transpired, so he understood everything.

"Nathan shouldn't be so arrogant everywhere. This time, he's hit a wall." He only said those words before taking deep breaths to rest.

Princess Aveline frowned, her brows furrowed. 'What is wrong with them?' She couldn't understand why those from the East Region seemed so confident in the young man with white hair who only possessed strength at level 4 of Apprentice Rank.

"Let's go. We can watch the fun," the two masked men from the Black Lotus guild resumed their ascent.

Aveline glanced up and began her climb along with Mikale.

Meanwhile, several meters above her, Max had slowed down again to get accustomed to the pressure, but even that pace was too fast for the others.

He was currently crossing the 380-meter mark while the rest of the geniuses had only reached 360, and their pace was becoming slower the higher they climbed.

"What happened?" Max asked loudly, glancing down. "I thought someone would use their strength to make me fall, but a pity—they have too little potential in auras, or should I say, they're weaker than trash from the East Region?" He taunted.

Nathan raged upon hearing him. "Come down if you have the guts!"

Max broke into wild laughter at his words. "Are you an idiot or what? Why would I come down? If you want to make me fall, then come up."

He added, his expression turning cruel, "Or just admit that you're too trash, too weak, with no potential to ever surpass someone six levels below you—someone from the East Region. Just accept that you're trash."

Nathan's face darkened upon hearing Max, but he didn't respond. He understood that Max was just trying to anger him. "Damn it!"

Max glanced down, sneering at them. "I was warned about the geniuses from the North and South Region, but you guys are nothing but clowns here. You can't even catch up to someone weaker than you. What a waste."

With those words, he stopped wasting time on them and began climbing quickly while getting used to the pressure in the 300–400 meter range.

"He's still this fast?" Evlin was speechless at the speed Max was ascending.

Tom frowned, but a sneer eventually appeared on his face. "No matter how fast he is, he's destined not to cross the 500-meter mark. I've heard from the elders that only those who have comprehended an aura can cross the 500-meter mark."

"Are you sure?" Princess Aveline asked, arriving beside them. "With the speed he's ascending, it's only a matter of time before he reaches the 500-meter mark."

Tom turned to her with a sneer. "Even if he crosses the 500-meter mark with sheer luck, he'll eventually fall. Only by having an aura can one maintain a constant ascent beyond the 500-meter limit."

"I know, but by reaching the 500-meter mark, he'll already have left us behind," Princess Aveline said, glancing at Max's figure.

"We don't have to worry about that," Evlin said, her expression sinister. "He'll have to come down eventually, and when he does, I believe Nathan would very much like to have a civil conversation with him."

Nathan grinned, his expression cruel. "I will kill him."

Princess Aveline frowned. "You must not do that!" she shouted, her tone full of authority.

Nathan's expression turned gloomy upon hearing her. "Princess, look, I respect you and all, but don't ever speak to me like that—as if I'm your subordinate." He said in a deadly tone. "As for that kid, it doesn't matter whether he lives or dies. If I want to kill someone, they die. It's as simple as that."

He added, "Moreover, the East Region would never come to the North for revenge, so all the more reason I should kill him. Trash like that should never surpass me, and I'll make sure it stays that way." His face turned crazed as he spoke the last few words.

Aveline sighed upon hearing him.

"Look, he crossed the 400-meter mark!" the boy with the scar shouted.

"Damn it!" Nathan raged, shouting as he continued his ascent.

Knowing that he would kill Max later didn't give him any satisfaction when he saw Max getting farther and farther away in the monolith tower.

Hearing the shout, Max glanced down. "Huh? What happened retard? Why aren't you coming up?" he said loudly.

Nathan gritted his teeth upon hearing him, his fists clenched so tightly his nails dug into his palms, drawing blood.

"I will kill you when you come down!" he shouted at the top of his lungs.

Max sneered. "We'll see."

With those words, he stopped glancing down and moved forward.

After entering the 400-meter range, he sensed the pressure increase, but with that, his connection to the lightning element also grew stronger.

'But why only the lightning element?' Max wondered silently. Although he could sense all the other auras of many different elements in the pressure, only the connection to the lightning element was increasing.

That didn't mean the other elemental auras or any auras were being wasted. He could feel a subtle bond forming with all the elements, but due to the overwhelming concentration of lightning aura compared to the others, his connection to it was deepening at a much faster rate.

'I guess beyond the 500-meter mark... the density of the auras in the pressure will be even greater. That might be what could truly help me deepen my understanding of merging two auras,' Max mused.

Moreover, he had this feeling that whatever reward was waiting for him at the top of the monolith should be related to lightning, as climbing the monolith helped him understand the element.

'Could there be a technique related to the lightning element?' Max wondered, his eyes shining with excitement. To this day, he only possessed one combat-related technique, if he ignored the soul technique, and that was related to the flame element.
