Dimensional Keeper: All My Skills Are at Level 100

Chapter 133: Nathan's Big Mouth

As Max crossed the 700-meter mark, the pressure increased slightly again, but it was nowhere near strong enough to stop him.

Though it did manage to slow him down a bit, Max wasn't planning to stop.

Comprehending lightning was the only task he had while climbing the monolith, so with the pace he was ascending, he was steadily comprehending the lightning as he made his way toward the top.

'I should be able to reach the top,' Max mused, glancing at the 1000-meter mark, his eyes gleaming.

Previously, when he ascended the monolith from the start to the 500-meter mark, he hadn't used anything and comprehended his way through to the top. But now, he was using the Fusion State of two auras, which not only had been strengthened by the pressure from the monolith but also made it easier for Max to comprehend lightning.

This was the reason Max's pace had increased significantly after the 550-meter mark.

"He crossed the 750-meter mark!" someone in the crowd of geniuses muttered, their expressions full of shock and awe.

Max had indeed crossed the 750-meter mark, his next goal being the 800-meter mark.

"Damn, at this point, he's racing through the monolith," Sam said, feeling a bit shocked.

Dean nodded, full of excitement. "Could he reach the top of the monolith?" he wondered, his face full of fascination.

"Humph," Nathan snorted in disdain. "Only five such geniuses have managed to reach the top, and each one of them must have been insanely strong."

He added, glaring at Max, "But this guy, at the 4th level of Apprentice Rank, shouldn't have such ambitions. He's just not strong enough to reach the peak."

Sam and Dean exchanged glances, their faces full of smiles as they heard Nathan.

"Why are you smiling?" Nathan demanded.

Dean smiled in response. "Because everything you've said about Max has turned out to be the exact opposite. So now that you've mentioned Max won't reach the top… it's become a matter of celebration, don't you think?"

Nathan frowned, his heart full of anger. He really wanted to kill the two of them.

"He crossed the 800-meter mark," Princess Aveline said, drawing their attention toward the monolith, where they saw Max ascending toward the 850-meter mark, with his speed only slowing down a bit.

"It seems like he became a completely different person after taking the rest at the 550-meter mark," Evlin muttered, frowning. Having understood the difficulties of ascending the monolith, she knew that climbing past the 500-meter mark was far harder than what Max's ascent showed.

This completely baffled her and most of the geniuses present from all four regions.

"He crossed the 850-meter mark," Tom muttered in a gloomy tone.

"Damn it!" Nathan kicked the ground in frustration, his hand clenched tightly.

As Max crossed the 900-meter mark, the oppressive aura amalgamation crushed down on him like a tidal wave. But instead of breaking under its immense weight, he entered a strange state of mind.

His breathing steadied, his thoughts quieted, and his focus became razor-sharp. Slowly, an extraordinary state washed over him—a state of pure comprehension.

'What is this feeling?' Max thought. He could feel that the pressure acting on his body was at an all-time high, much stronger than any pressure he had ever felt on the monolith. But strangely, he only felt calm as the lightning began to resonate within him, along with the Fusion State of Flame and Sword Aura.

In this state of enlightenment, the pressure no longer felt hostile; it became a teacher. Every crushing force, every distinct aura woven into the monolith's oppressive energy, revealed its secrets. Max's mind transcended the physical.

The Flame and Sword Auras within him resonated with the aura around him, blending and harmonizing like an intricate melody.

Just like that, he crossed the 920-meter mark unconsciously.

As Max continued to ascend, the sensation became stronger as both the lightning element and Fusion State of Flame and Sword Aura resonated deep within his body.

Feeling the strange sensation, he closed his eyes and ascended purely on instinct.

He crossed the 940-meter mark… 960, 980, 990, 995, and so on. He didn't stop until he reached the 999-meter mark.

That was when he saw a vision.

A middle-aged man with light blue hair stood at the peak of a mountain. His figure was surrounded by ten rings made of lightning, hovering closely behind him, almost touching his back.

All the ten rings of lightning seemed to be connected to each other through thin threads of lightning, and then to the middle-aged man.

"Ten Hands of Lightning God… Descends!" the middle-aged man shouted loudly, causing lightning to descend from the sky.

It was at that moment that Max came out of his vision, his whole body drenched in sweat.

"Ten Hands of Lightning God… What a domineering name!" he exclaimed, feeling a bit shocked by what he saw in his vision.

[Congratulations to Max Voidwalker for comprehending Lightning Aura.]

Max smiled upon seeing the notification, but his mind was still reeling from the vision he had just experienced.

"Was that the lightning element technique?" he wondered, feeling excited as he glanced at the 1000-meter mark, which was just a meter ahead of him.

'Let's reach the peak,' Max thought, taking a deep breath as he began his final ascent.

Everyone below the monolith held their breaths as they saw Max continue his climb after a brief pause at the 999-meter mark.

"He's going to do it," Princess Aveline muttered, her face full of shock. She couldn't believe that someone in their time would reach the peak of the monolith. It was like a legend to them, and yet, they were seeing with their own eyes the making of a legend.

"Who would have thought that someone at the 4th level of Apprentice Rank would go on to create a unique record of his own, create a legend?" Evlin said, gritting her teeth, her tone laced with jealousy.

"We've already told you that Max isn't someone you should underestimate, but you guys went ahead and did the very thing I warned you not to do," Sam said, smiling, his entire attention on Max.

Dean also smiled. "Don't worry, brother… They'll have their revenge. Haven't you heard that Nathan's been planning to kill Max once he's down? It's going to be a good show for us to watch."

Nathan and Tom had the worst expressions at the moment, particularly Nathan, who had been proven wrong once again. He felt like shit today as everything he said had turned out the exact opposite of what he wanted, making him feel like hiding his face from others.

"In just a few seconds, a new record, a history, and a legend are about to be created," the blob announced loudly, his voice reaching all three floors of the temple. "Someone is about to reach the peak of the monolith… about to cross the 1000-meter mark… about to reach the top."

Just as the announcement reached the other two floors, chaos ran through the entire temple.

"What? Someone is about to reach the peak of the monolith? Who? How?"

"There's such a genius in the temple this time? But from which region? Which floor?"

"Damn, there's such an opportunity to watch a legend in the making, and I missed it by being on the wrong floor! But the question is, who is this big of a monster that he's about to reach the peak of the monolith when only five from the Valora Continent have done so far?"

The second and third floors erupted as soon as the announcement was made, driving everyone crazy. They wanted to know who the person was, which region he belonged to, everything about him, but sadly, they could only remain curious until the very end.
