Chapter 4396: Latter Half Of The Second Year
Tina cried her heart out in Davis's embrace, unable to believe that she really got pregnant.
It had been her only wish, yet it was so difficult, completely out of their bounds, as the two genetic materials must form a mystical resonance in order to fuse. It was as though it was completely up to fate. Even though the chances were calculated, it might've taken thousands or even millions of tries before she got herself pregnant.
After all, she was also an Empyrean.
It would've been extremely hard for her to become pregnant. She carried that worry when she entered the Empyrean Stage, but now, she felt fully vindicated, shedding tears of joy.
Davis caressed Tina, consoling her with a heartened smile on his face. He could tell that she was highly scared that she wouldn't get pregnant, from how she was crying.
Moreover, he had special feelings for Tina. She was his first woman in another life. He would never forget the derailed fate, feeling like he had stolen something from her, what it was meant to be, so he also felt emotional that she was finally able to carry his child.
It had taken too long, he might've started feeling guilty.
He also inwardly sighed, thinking that adopting chaos-destruction physique into his body might've screwed him over in terms of propagation but it seems like he was still going good.
He quickly called everyone here.
Evelynn and the others who were not busy arrived.
They congratulated Tina, and the atmosphere made Davis want to enjoy a feast.
After a banquet, they decided to conceal it from anyone who wasn't their sister or first in command, since it would be dangerous for others to know that she was pregnant.
It was problematic in some ways. Tina may not be able to handle the duties of the Realm Master, which were to protect the Realm Core. Tina wanted to transfer the Realm Master position to someone else, but Davis and the others rejected her idea.
Even while being pregnant, she could still comprehend Laws. They only needed her to not fight during the third trimester of the pregnancy. Then it would be all good. However, anything could happen. Someone idiotic or powerful could choose to wage war on this soil and target the Realm Master.
Fortunately, the Whispering Wildlands Peninsula limits most problems from entering, so that could be said to be a boon.
Still, Davis decided to stay here for the time being. Evelynn and a few others also decided to aid her through the course of the pregnancy.
Tina was overwhelmed with all that support. Currently, with her being the only one pregnant, she gathered the happiness of the family into herself.
Time passed.
Davis had Stella secretly pick up the Starnova Emperor and bring him to the Whispering Wildlands Peninsula.
"Your eminence!"
A purple-haired man with a starry white robe cupped his hands and knelt on one knee. He looked young and handsome with a princely charm. Even while kneeling, he still carried himself with grace.
Davis blinked, remembering that Mingzhi told him that he had gone bald, but his hair was back.
Regardless, he asked.
"What's with you? Have you lost your mind and become too respectful?"
"I simply decided to know my place."
Levi Starchild appeared smug before he flashed a smile with his teeth, "Then your giant presence stopped bothering my ego altogether."
"Oh?" Davis looked intrigued, wondering what brought about this change on... at which point.
Levi Starchild continued, "I may not compare to you who beat nearly everything that came at you with swiftness, but I'm still a supreme genius who will eventually reach beyond the stars and grasp the realms. On the other hand, your eminence faces extreme danger and has more chances to fail. There has never been a story of an Anarchic Divergent succeeding, and that's something to both fear and revere. I think the universe is quite balanced with how it treats its lifeforms."
"Hahaha!"
Davis burst out laughing, "I thought you lost your mind, but it seems you have grown a lot. Good. I think investing in you might have its uses."
Levi Starchild blinked.
What investing? What kind?
"I heard that you're comparable to a Kingly Sovereign, so why don't you go further and become an Empyreal Sovereign in terms of prowess?"
Levi Starchild raised his brows but shook his head, "I already am an Empyreal Sovereign, but only for a short time when I use my astral cultivation for support."
"Oh? Astral Cultivation System. I've read about that a bit. What does it entail?"
"It's not something so grand. We humans lack the ability to collect energy from stars for the most part, but my bloodline is quite suited for it, so we tend to practice Astral Cultivation as a support system. We-"
Levi Starchild explained patiently.
Later, Davis sent him away.
Days continued to pass.
Everlight reached the Empyrean Beast Stage, and she evolved the Azure Trees according to the agreement.
Five Azure Trees became Seraphic Azure Trees, including the Azure Tree Realm Master and the Azure Tree youngling. However, they concealed this information for peace's sake. Even if their evolution was going to be found out later, they preferred peace and quiet over anything.
"Brat! I made a lot of sacrifices and became an Empyrean in two years, and you're saying you've already cleared your struggles in this layer!?"
Master Deathseeker finally appeared near the Whispering Wildlands Peninsula in the second year, eighth month of the Covenant.
Apparently, he had entered a secret realm filled with corpses and death in order to become powerful. However, he hadn't made any effort to comprehend but straight away used the wildest methods to increase his cultivation to the Empyrean Stage as soon as possible in order to support his favored disciple.
Davis wryly scratched his head, "Yeah, my condolences, Master Deathseeker."
Master Deathseeker fumed. It was all nonsensical to him.
However, inwardly, he was jumping with joy. When he heard all the achievements of his disciple, he was stunned at first, but those later turned into elation. He couldn't be any more satisfied. He also had a son thanks to the treatment he had received, so it could be said that if he died, he'd be dancing in the reincarnation cycle as a soul.
"Great. Bring your son to our home. He doesn't need all that assassin training crap to be a true assassin like me."
Davis forced Master Deathseeker to bring his son to their school. The latter had no choice but to agree.
"Also, you'll train my kids. How about it? Want to bully them?"
Davis and Master Deathseeker eyed each other, their gazes filled with wicked thoughts.
Nonetheless, Master Deathseeker didn't look good since he practically forced his cultivation up, so Davis helped him solidify his cultivation first. Later on, he learned that the Ghost Tear Hall had even managed to establish itself in an Upper Realm, but it was still small, with the Patriarch still at the peak of the Empyrean Stage, but still powerful, at least according to hearsay.
"The Founder of the Ghost Tear Hall, huh…"
"Yes, our Ancestor…"
"Interesting…"
Davis nodded while holding his chin, appearing intrigued. He wondered if the Patriarch was still a Peak Empyrean or already an Exalt.
