Chapter 30: Kidnapped
Logan's eyes flew open as soon as consciousness brushed against him.
His eyes darted around to assess his location. He tried to move his hands but to no avail.
He observed his location and found himself in a forest - the one within the academy.
He was tied to a tree with both hands behind his back.
A figure walked out of the darkness that enveloped the forest quickly followed by three others.
Logan recognized all four of them, three of them had been among those who had been glaring at him in a not-so-discreet manner.
As for the fourth, it was none other than Blondie.
"Doesn't it speak ill of you if it required you guys to drug me to take me hostage. Let these restraints go and you'll have the chance to beat me and prove your supremacy." Logan suggested to the four gathered in front of him.
"Nice try freak, like we'd fall for that." One of the boys laughed and Logan spat on his face.
The boy recoiled in disgust before attempting to punch the latter in the face.
Logan let the fist get close before biting into the hand.
He quickly pulled his hand back but it featured a noticeable bite mark.
"Watch him!" The boy winced before instructing another to keep an eye on Logan.
Logan watched as the other three boys left him alone with the other kid.
Logan forced his tied hands to touch as he attempted to cast a spell.
His impromptu guard went behind him to tighten the restraints on his wrists to prevent possible spell casting.
When he got behind Logan, space rippled as a blade appeared in Logan's hand.
He stabbed the blade into the boy's left knee causing it to give out.
Before he could react, Logan cut himself out and was thirsty for revenge.
He swung his pummel and it hit the boy's temples knocking him out.
"Now, it's time they regret that they were born," Logan spoke calmly as he formulated a tactic that would get rid of all his current problems.

The three students returned and saw the boy who was supposed to watch over Logan on the ground.
Logan's figure blurred as he dashed in between them and knocked them out except for one, Blondie.
"To think that for a second back there that I was considering forgiving you." Logan's voice lamented from all directions causing Blondie's body to shake in fear.
"Did you actually expect me to become buddies with you?! Your father broke the royal decree. He should have reported himself after realizing he was infected. Instead, he chose to warn you which put our entire town at risk of infection and cost us a small fortune to repair the damages caused by his explosion." He spat out each word like they were coated with poison.
"I shouldn't have been so naive." Logan sighed as he walked out of the cover of the night to stand face to face with Blondie.
The latter cast a spell and hurled a huge fireball at him.
Logan vanished and appeared behind Blondie with a Dark Shot in hand.
The sphere dug a hole through Blondie's skull and killed him on the spot.
Before the body could drop, Logan grabbed it and a flicker of darkness touched the corpse causing it to vanish, entering his Dark Space and almost filling its limited space.
Logan headed to the deeper parts of the forest, more specifically to the lake he had been to earlier in the day.
The place was nearly pitch black with the only source of illumination being the crescent moon in the sky.
Luckily for Logan, he didn't encounter any beasts on the way there.
He now stood in front of what appeared to be a massive ink blot that had stars within its molten darkness.
Logan walked to the edge and closed his eyes. Space darkened around him in a ten-meter radius and at the very edge of the darkened space, Blondie's body fell out into the lake.
Logan could only watch as the body of his roommate floated at the top of the lake. He was sure that some beast would feast on his body.
Logan ran at full speed back to his dormitory and room, he got on his bed and slept.

The three students that Logan had knocked out were kneeling in front of someone.
"I told you to keep him there and not engage him until midnight. Yet what did you do? Everything apart from what you were instructed! Get out of my sight!" The person punched the wall beside them.
The students scurried off in fear leaving the person alone in their office. They took their fist off the wall revealing the small crater their punch had caused.
The person stood up from the chair they were sitting in and their usually kind face had none of that, in fact, it seemed to harbor intense hatred. The person was Miss Beth.

Logan woke up and gave a good stretch, he had expected a kind of weight to fall on his chest at the thought of killing another human but much to his surprise and worry, he didn't feel such.
He shook the thoughts out of his head and prepared for his first class of the day.
Logan was soon in the familiar amphitheater where he had the Theory of Mana class.
Orion took his usual seat beside him and started rambling on about the latest gossip in the school but while Logan couldn't care less, he wouldn't interrupt him.
Miss Beth's entrance signaled the end of the chatter in the class.
"In today's class, we'll talk about Casting." She let out a sweet smile that could make most people lower their guard but this only made Logan worried.
He couldn't explain it but something about the way she carried herself, from her etiquette to her mannerisms, sent shivers down his spine. It was like he was staring at a deceptively alluring snake.
Miss Beth locked eyes with him, "Mr Kress, I trust your evening was… uneventful." A slight smile tugged at her lips.
