Divorcing My Cold Hearted Celebrity Husband.

Chapter 4: Chapter-4. (The Grocery Store).

A help? Why didn't I ask for a billion dollar?

I regretted the moment I asked God for the bad situation to occur.

My body went rigid, as I whispered out, "Don't even think about it, Josh." My gaze hardened recalling those moments when he ignored my existence and the last straw as to find him with that woman.

"But let me explain my idea for once.." He tried to persuade me but I was done being the scapegoat everyone could use for their benefit. I folded my hands and straightly rejected his offer.

"I am sorry." I pointed out towards the exit, "but I think you should leave. Please." My voice softened at the last word feeling a little bad for venting it all out on him.

Josh sighed, but nodded, "You are right, Miss Elena. It's not your mess to clean." I sighed in relief as I thanked him for undertanding.

With this, he walked out of the apartment. The moment he stepped out, I slumpped down on the couch not able to think clearly.

Caroline gave me that look as she asked, "What just happened?" I shook my head not having any answer to her question. She sat beside me, "So, what will you do now? Will you help him?"

Maybe.

"I don't know. The whole situation is looking absurd to me." She too agreed with me and we sat there in silence but it only increased the noise going inside of me.

Should I help him? The question became unsettling for me. Two weeks prior I found him with a woman and he did not even show a ny remorse or guilt. He acted cold hearted celebrity husband of mine like always.

But he was not always like this. Before he went to New York for his higher studies, we were unseparable. We liked each other's comapny. Atleast that's what I thought but after he came back, it felt as if that sweet and caring person never existed.

At first, I thought he will adjust with time but it was the other way around. He words became assertive, hollow, cold and so does his entire persona.

Still, neglecting those red flags I married him and tried to mend things with him for the better but boy was I wrong. My pushover behaviour and his cold attitude lead to this day. Now, I was here weighing whether to help him or keep it to myself.

The morning turned to evening and I was still contemplating while I did the house choes. Since, it was a weekend, me and Caroline decided to get groceries. Maybe going out would clear out my head.

Walkig into the supermarket, I retrieved the list and soon strated to get the things. The store was down as it was still arly for the peak time. We took our good time deciding what to buy when someone called me out from behind, "Are you Elena?"

I turned to see one of the staff. "Yes?" I asked trying t recall if we have met in the past, when she revealed pointing towards the exit, "There's someone who is calling for you?"

My brows knitted together as I moved my focus to outside. It was a car and the shades were up, so I could not see the person. I again looked at her, "Are you sure they are asking for me?"

Her expression also seemed to be confused and worried but she nodded as she replied, "Yeah, he specifically pointed towards you." She stopped for a moment before she continued, "If you don't feel comfortable, I could ask for the security to remove them." She suggested, her concern growing.

I looked at Caroline who was busy choosing between the new scented candles, then thought for a moment. The car seemed to be familiar, so it was not a stranger yet I was not sure whether to go or not.

There will be no harm talking as we are in a public space. So, if something goes wrong, I could ask for help.

The thought made me feel at ease as I nodded at the staff, "Thank You for your concern but I will handle it."

The girl nodded as she walked towards the counter and I towards the exit after informing Caroline. She also suggested that she will come with me, which seemed not bad, so we both stepped out of the store.

When the distance between us and the car got almost a foot, the tinted glass slowly moved down revealing the face. It was an old man dressed up in comfortable shirt and trouser but his serious face made him seem a person with great experience.

His white hair were combed back as he pushed up his glasses. "Ele, if you don't mind I want to talk to you." His gruff voice set a shiver leaving goosebumps spreading all over my body.

My mouth went hung open, as I realized the man sitting in that car. "Grandpa Albert." His name almost came out as a question. Albert Morris. The seedling who growed out the The Big Star Agency through out the country.

After him Walter Morris, Dave's father then took over the agency and spread it all out worldwide. Everyone expected the same from Dave, following in the foot steps of his grand father and father but he did not want that.

Instead of working behind the camera, he loved to work in front of the camera.

Everyone was happy for his new discovered talent, even his grand father somehow came along but that was not the same case with his father.

Walter even threatned to disown him but nothing stopped Dave from achieveing his goal. At last, Albert stepped in clearing out the air.

He put the condition that if he wanted to continue his career then he would have to marry the girl they would choose and will give them an heir.

At first, he denied, of course but then seeing his father also accepted Albert's decision, he could not help but agree to their terms. And after few years, they revealed the bride. Me.

At that time, I did not know about this condition thing and it might also be the reason that Dave acted aloof with me as I was not his choice but his family's choice.

I did not blame him for that but now that Albert was here then it was sure the things were about to change.

And for sure it wouldn't be for better. At least, for me.
