Doomsday Chat Group: Conquering the Multiverse Heroines

Chapter 99: Dominating the Cold Tide

"Next, what I can do for you is to deal with Jarilo-VI's cold climate."

"Is something like that even possible?" Even the usually stoic Dan Heng showed a look of surprise.

"It's not particularly troublesome."

"All things in creation, return to me!" Ren activated Bankai again. Clad in golden imperial attire, he flew high into the sky. His starry eyes gazed down at the earth. "I command, the cold current shall recede!"

A clear, cold declaration. Heaven and earth responded in unison! He was dominating the phenomenon of the cold tide. The entire world obeyed his words of domination. The power of the world converged, beginning to dispel the cold tide!

"It's getting warmer!" March 7th felt the cold in the air dissipating. When they first entered Everwinter Hill, it was still very cold even with the power of Trailblaze. Now, her body felt like it was basking in sunlight, warm and cozy.

In reality, dominating the receding cold tide was not easy. It required changing the weather, changing the temperature, melting ice and snow, and also dealing with the melted water. All of this would take a long time—approximately 15 minutes.

Ren deactivated Bankai and returned to the ground. By this time, a lot of ice and snow had melted in Everwinter Hill. This area, being closest to the Stellaron, was too severely affected, making much of the ice difficult to melt. But looking at Jarilo-VI as a whole, at least seventy percent of the global ice and snow cover had melted. It was now completely suitable for life.

"Thank you! Ren-san, thank you for everything you've done for Jarilo-VI." Bronya's profound gratitude encompassed everyone's gratitude.

Jepard and the others rushed back to Belobog, while Natasha and the others returned to the Underworld. The commotion here was too great, and they feared changes in the upper and Underworld, so someone had to manage them. Only the Nameless, Cocolia, Silver Wolf, Emilia, Bronya, and Seele remained here.

"Phew, a small matter." Ren exhaled a turbid breath. This global change was indeed a bit draining for him. It consumed much more than implanting the ideological imprint in Esdeath's world. But the gains were also plentiful.

"Ding! Detected that Ren Kazama has greatly reduced the impact of the cold wave, ending the doomsday!"

"Ren Kazama additionally gained 500,000 doomsday points!"

Ordinary Companions received 500,000, eliminating the Stellaron gained 1,000,000, plus the 500,000 from fading the cold wave, for a total of 2,000,000 doomsday points!

"Now that everything is over, it's time for us to leave."

"Please wait!" Bronya said, "Tomorrow, I will assume the role of the new Great Guardian. I want you, my mother, and the Trailblazers to witness my resolve. Could you stay one more day?"

March 7th was the first to raise her hand. "We have no problem!"

Ren, on the other hand, looked at Silver Wolf and Emilia.

Silver Wolf blew a bubblegum and said indifferently, "Anyway, there's no mission, so let's just treat it as a trip."

Emilia poked her finger, her eyes gleaming. "I… I want to see how a leader should act. Although I am one of the royal candidates, I still don't know how to be a king…"

"So I want to learn from Bronya!"

"I… this is also my first time. My mother is more capable than me…" Bronya glanced at Cocolia.

"Bronya, as the Great Guardian, you must be firm in your choices." Cocolia's tone was almost stern, reminding Bronya of her mother's past teachings.

"Yes!"

Since Silver Wolf and Emilia had no issues, Ren certainly had no issues. "In that case, let's stay one more day."

They all stayed at the Goethe Hotel. Because Cocolia's identity was special, Ren had her change into another outfit. Although her original outfit was indeed very good, it was too revealing. Cocolia stayed with Bronya at night, seemingly teaching her something in their final moments.

The next day, Bronya took office as the Great Guardian. She decided to give the people of Belobog an explanation, even if it was a temporary lie. The proclamation would be held in front of the Everwinter Monument.

"So lively." Emilia's eyes sparkled as she looked at the crowd gathered in the square. Not only people from the upper district but also those from the Underworld came. Bronya had lifted the blockade between the upper and Underworld.

"Lady Bronya Rand's proclamation is about to begin. All citizens, please remain silent and help maintain order." A clear voice silenced the talking people of Belobog.

Bronya, escorted by the Silvermane Guards, walked onto the podium. Standing on the podium, she scanned the people of Belobog in front of the Everwinter Monument. She took a deep breath, calmed her mind, and began to deliver her heartfelt proclamation seriously.

"Citizens of Belobog, please listen to me." Everyone listened attentively.

"The reason we can gather here today to celebrate this moment together is because a great Guardian sacrificed herself and expelled the bane that had plagued this city for 700 years from our home."

"The sacrifice of Cocolia Rand has opened a new chapter in our history."

"The snow outside the city walls will gradually subside, and the expansion of the Fragmentum will surely be suppressed in the far north by the Silvermane Guards' offensive. I personally witnessed the former Great Guardian's struggle against an unspeakable power."

"In her last moments, she also confided in me her greatest regret." Her voice paused slightly. She parted her lips and loudly spoke the long-cherished wish of the people of Belobog: "That is the blockade order that has separated the upper and Underworld for over ten years."

"As time passed, she began to realize the severe consequences of her decisions. She felt guilty, but it was already too late to turn back. Therefore, she left a dying wish: when the Stellaron's influence dissipates, she hopes Belobog can be reunited. She hopes the people of the upper and Underworld can welcome the dawn together."

Bronya knew this was a lie, but she had to do it. This was the hope for the revival of Belobog, of Jarilo-VI. Bronya looked up, directly facing the people of the Underworld. "People of the Underworld, I cannot ask for your forgiveness, because my personal experience has told me that those painful years left too many scars on you."

"But I crave your cooperation. Because we all know very well that without your perseverance and sweat, the revival of Belobog would be impossible, and the continuation of civilization would be impossible."

The expressions of the people of the Underworld wavered. Everyone could feel Bronya's sincere emotions. Natasha, Seele, and others also showed relieved smiles. This was exactly what the people of the Underworld needed.

After proclaiming Cocolia's deeds and the Underworld blockade, Bronya looked at Ren and the others, and March 7th and her companions. "Furthermore, I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to several guests of Belobog."

"Most of you do not know of their existence, but it is their arrival that has watered hope into this dying world."

"It is also their arrival that made me realize that while focusing on the Path of Preservation of this land beneath our feet, we should not forget to look up at the sky."

"I firmly believe that with our combined efforts, our world, this world called Jarilo-VI by the Trailblazers, will surely return to the embrace of the stars."

"But before achieving this goal, please allow me to humbly lead you forward for now."

"Bronya Rand, the 19th Great Guardian of Belobog, hereby swears!"

Bronya's oath was resounding, resolute, and firm! After a brief silence, what erupted was the enthusiastic cheers of everyone! "Lady Bronya! Lady Bronya! Stand tall!!!"

Ren looked at Cocolia, who had a faint smile on her lips. "How is it? Very relieved?"

Cocolia gazed at the shining Bronya on the podium, her relieved smile no longer hidden. "Bronya has truly grown up. I am proud of her, so proud."

Ren smiled and agreed, "Haha, she will be an excellent Great Guardian."

"Well, it's time for us to leave." Ren and the others quietly left when no one noticed.

"You're back?" A voice as gentle as a breeze, Kafka wore a charming smile. Her gaze fell upon Silver Wolf, who had suddenly appeared in place. Silver Wolf didn't speak, and after ensuring her body was fine, with a smile in her eyes: "I'm back. It was quite an extraordinary game."

"Lady Emilia, what are you thinking about?" The short blue-haired maid Rem asked with concern when she saw Emilia in a daze.

Emilia snapped back, smiling softly: "Nothing, just thinking of happy things."

Cocolia felt her eyes blur for a moment after Ren took her hand. When she stabilized, she saw a room with a completely different decorative style from Belobog, and women dressed in peculiar styles, somewhat similar to Ren's.

Because time was first stopped, then resumed, Cocolia appeared as if she had suddenly materialized. Kanae, however, was calm. Her time hadn't stopped. While on Jarilo-VI, she had been in Ren's mental space the entire time. The others, however, became alert. But upon seeing the hands clasped with Ren's, they all understood.

Eriri bit her small canine teeth directly, indignant yet very curious. "Wow, how did you do that? You just brought back a woman like that!"

Yukino was also shocked. Although she had seen Ren travel between worlds, that wasn't a Doom Companion, and there was no time stop. Suddenly, a beautiful and mature woman appeared, leaving everyone full of questions.

Ren-kun answered them, "This is Cocolia Rand-san, you can just call her Cocolia."

"Hello everyone, I came here following my Master." Cocolia performed her familiar etiquette. This immediately made everyone feel that her status in the Otherworld was probably not simple. However, several people also introduced themselves, including Yukino.

The process of getting acquainted could be put aside for now. The most important issue now was arranging Cocolia's accommodation. Ren-kun pinched his chin. There was still one empty apartment in the building. But an apartment with three bedrooms was too wasteful for one person. After thinking for a moment, he realized he still had two empty rooms here.

"How about you stay in my empty room for now? If we move later, we can buy a larger building and arrange a separate room for you."

Kie and the others readily agreed to Ren-kun's suggestion.

Eriri, however, was a little jealous: "Ren-kun, I want to stay with you too."

Ren-kun playfully flicked her nose and said, annoyed, "If you stay with me, who will accompany Sayuri?"

Eriri, instead, put her hands on her hips and snorted, "Hmph, of course, Mom and I will be together, you can come and accompany us."

"..."

Eriri was truly bold and open now. Nezuko secretly glanced at Kie, who, upon noticing, returned an encouraging smile.

"Mmm!" She immediately lowered her head shyly again.

Kie sighed slightly in her heart. Given Nezuko's shy personality, it would still be a bit difficult to be with her. She personally wanted to fulfill Ren-kun's wish; this was what a virtuous wife should do, at least in her personal opinion. She could only do some psychological work for Nezuko.

Facing Eriri's almost explicit words and charming, seductive eyes, Ren-kun almost agreed. However, he still wanted to leave some space for his own room. He also didn't want to completely occupy Sayuri's time. If it happened every day, how would Sayuri get out of bed?
