Douluo : Capture the goddess starting from peerless tang sect

Chapter 256: Chapter 255: The Xingluo Auction House

Qianran was taken aback when Cai Meier was recognized by the system as a "goddess-level" individual.

Was Cai Meier still inexperienced in certain matters? That didn't seem likely.

Or could it be something else entirely?

On second thought, Cai Meier and Yan Shaozhe didn't seem to have any children. Could it be that Yan Shaozhe was... less capable in certain respects, much like Xu Tianran from the Sun Moon Empire? Perhaps Cai Meier's natural allure and the system's criteria had earned her this recognition. Such a uniquely charming woman was indeed a rare gem.

"Damn, I'm too handsome!" Qianran couldn't help but exclaim as he admired his reflection in the hotel mirror.

While his facial features hadn't changed dramatically, they had been enhanced to an even more perfect level.

Already a near-perfect 97 or 98 in terms of looks, Qianran could now confidently score a flawless 100.

Even if he intentionally tried to look unkempt, it would be nearly impossible for him to appear anything less than stunning.

When Qianran finally stepped out of his room, the girls waiting for him greeted him with amused and bashful smiles.

"Qianran, you look different somehow," Wang Dong'er said, her eyes brimming with curiosity.

The others nodded in agreement. Though Qianran was still very much the same person, there was something about him—a subtle shift in his aura and appearance—that was even more captivating.

Standing before them, his refined looks and elevated presence made their hearts race uncontrollably.

"What's changed?" Qianran asked casually, his serene yet magnetic charm effortlessly drawing them closer.

"You've become even more handsome," Jiang Nannan said after a moment of observation.

"Your body feels... firmer, too. Look at these abs!" Wang Dong'er teased as she playfully ran her hand over his toned abdomen.

Dong'er had always had a thing for Qianran's muscles—his abs and chest, in particular. Whenever she was with him, she couldn't resist touching him, a habit she had developed over time.

Sometimes, Qianran would wake up to find Dong'er admiring his abs or even licking them, much to his amusement.

"Dong'er, you're such a little perv," Xiao Xiao teased, feigning indignation.

"And you're not?" Dong'er shot back with a mischievous pout as she clung to Qianran's arm.

"Alright, enough," Qianran intervened, a wry smile on his face. With so many women around, their banter often left him feeling a little overwhelmed.

Not far away, Ling Luocheng watched the playful exchanges with a hint of melancholy.

Noticing her friend's expression, Ma Xiaotao walked over and gently nudged her. She could tell exactly what was on Ling Luocheng's mind.

"What's wrong with this idiot Qianran? He clearly likes Luocheng, but he hasn't made a move yet," Ma Xiaotao thought, feeling both frustrated and sympathetic.

She recalled her own feelings before her relationship with Qianran had solidified. Back then, she had often worried that Qianran might be upset with her or losing interest.

Now that she was securely in his heart, she felt at ease—but she hoped Ling Luocheng wouldn't have to endure the same uncertainty for too long.

What Ma Xiaotao didn't know was that Qianran wasn't intentionally ignoring Ling Luocheng. It was simply a matter of time management—he couldn't attend to everyone at once.

If he constantly sought out new romantic conquests while neglecting his existing partners, it would only breed discontent among them. Qianran had no intention of being careless or thoughtless.

Recently, he had been focused on deepening his bond with Ma Xiaotao, and Ning Tian had already reserved her own "special time" with him during the competition.

Ning Tian even had a special outfit prepared—one modeled after Ning Rongrong's iconic attire from the legends. The thought alone was enough to make Qianran chuckle darkly to himself.

"Hehehe... Soon," he thought mischievously.

"Alright, everyone, settle down. Wang Yan just asked if you'd like to join the auction later," Ma Xiaotao announced as she approached with Ling Luocheng.

At the mention of the auction, Qianran's interest was piqued, and he quickly shelved his other thoughts.

"An auction? Of course, let's go!"

"Everyone, get ready. Today's expenses are on me," he said confidently.

Qianran had a number of valuable items, including rare soul bones from the Extreme North, that he planned to sell.

From the outside, the auction house appeared modest, with a relatively small structure. But once inside, they discovered a vast, underground space that stretched far beneath the surface.

A plush red carpet lined the five-meter-wide staircase that led downward, creating an air of opulence. No attendants guided visitors at the entrance—an intentional design choice to preserve an aura of exclusivity.

After descending approximately 20 meters, they arrived at the registration area. Wang Yan had already taken care of the paperwork, so each participant was handed a numbered paddle by elegantly dressed attendants in red gowns.

The girls were amazed at the grandeur of the venue.

Despite its unassuming exterior, this was the largest auction house in Xingluo City, and securing a bidding slot was no small feat. Normally, participants were required to provide extensive proof of assets and undergo evaluations. Wang Yan had anticipated needing to use their Shrek credentials for access, but to his surprise, the staff had welcomed them in immediately upon recognizing them.

As Qianran and his group entered the main hall, he remembered that the Xingluo Empire's Princess Xu Jiujiiu was associated with this auction house.

However, he doubted someone of her status would oversee a minor event like today's. If anything, she might only appear for extraordinary auctions, like the one in the original story that featured the Sealed Ice God's Platform.

In a luxurious private room overlooking the auction hall, two of the Xingluo Empire's most prominent women were beaming with delight.

The empress couldn't hide her excitement as she turned to Princess Xu Jiujiiu.

"I was just talking about Qianran with you earlier, and now here he is," she said with a smile.

"Perhaps it's fate that brought him here to meet you," she teased, a glint of amusement in her eyes.
