"Succession? What do you mean, Snow Empress?" Huo Yuhao repeated in shock, his mind racing to make sense of Snow Empress's words.

He gazed at her kneeling form, her previously cold and distant demeanor now completely transformed into one of reverence and respect.

The situation was developing faster than Huo Yuhao could comprehend! Snow Empress, once proud and aloof, who certainly didn't hide her disdain of him, was now kneeling before him with a reverence that made his heart race.

Snow Empress lifted her head slightly, her eyes filled with both admiration and respect. "My lord, the divine power, the Immortal Qi, you now wield has gone beyond the mere spark of the Ice God's divinity."

"The Ice God's Bone has somehow made connection with the Ice God's Inheritance hidden in the world—it has become a true legacy of a God; and you have been chosen as the successor to the Ice God's Position."

Huo Yuhao's breath caught in his throat. "What do you mean by that, Snow Empress? Didn't you say that the Ice God couldn't be resurrected anymore? That his God Position—"

"—Is still out there, waiting for someone to take on the Divine Title of Ice." Snow Empress interjected softly. "I had only stated that the bone sealed in your left arm had a possibility of either giving you the foundation of a God Position or be chosen as a successor for the Ice God's Position."

She shook her head. "I had thought that you would only had the Ice God's Bone as a foundation for a God Position, since it didn't show any signs of leading you for the Ice God's Position, but I was wrong."

Her gaze went towards his left arm, her eyes shining with reverence and awe. "The Ice God's Physique—we didn't think you would be getting the real one."

"The real one? What do you mean?"

Snow Empress explained, "The Ice God's Physique is separated into two—false and true. The false one is something that only humans have the slightest chance of getting, I've actually seen one person who had it; he wanted to have me as his ninth Soul Ring."

"The False Ice God's Physique makes one's body highly resistant to Ice and Fire, as well as poison, be as hard as the toughest Ice Crystals buried deep within the Extreme North, and their blood cold as the frigid winds of the most distant tundras. It grants them fast healing capabilities as long as they're in a cold environment. Lastly, their heart, given some careful cultivation, could become a soul core called the—Frozen Heart."

Huo Yuhao listened intently, his heart pounding. "So, what I have.....is the True Ice God's Physique?"

Snow Empress nodded solemnly. "Yes, my lord. The True Ice God's Physique is not just about resilience or control over ice and snow—it transforms your entire being into ice itself! Signifying your candidacy of the God Position. Your body would be twice durable than the false one, and no normal attacks could ever hurt you as it would simply phased through you as if they were hitting snow. Moreover, your body would create a pseudo-domain of ice and snow that lets you use ice related skills without energy cost."

"Lastly, your heart would instantaneously become a Frozen Heart; granting you a larger volume of soul power and soul power recovery."

She looked at his left arm and said, "As of right now, your left arm is the only part that had became the True Ice God's Physique. But as long as agree to go along with the Ice God's Inheritance, the rest of your body will eventually undergo the same transformation."

Huo Yuhao's mind was spinning as he clenched his fists.

If it were anyone else, they would've been ecstatic to hear that they were getting a powerful sounding physique that would guarantee them the road to ascension.

Huo Yuhao's instincts as a Shinobi kicked in, forcing him to examine this new development with caution and suspicion. The sudden appearance of the Ice God's Position and the transitioning of his physique to the Ice God's happening at the same time, that made him wary.

It wasn't in his nature to accept things at face value, especially something as life-altering as a God's inheritance.

Moreover, Huo Yuhao remembered about the words Electrolux said to him about the Ice God's Bone.

Electrolux had said previously that there had only been a slight possibility of the Ice God Bone developing a divine consciousness, but it clearly was a high possibility now!

His left arm has completely transformed into complete ice and then it would eventually to his whole body? That sounds so wrong in so many ways, Huo Yuhao thought, feeling a chill that had nothing to do with the ice energy.

His left arm, now completely transformed into something no longer human, was a constant reminder of the unknowns he was dealing with.

The power was incredible, but the idea of someone or something that might someday control his life terrified him.

Huo Yuhao wasn't a religious person, he and the rest would invoke the names of either the Sea God or Ice God since they're the only Gods that they know of, so he wouldn't be blinded by any devotion or reverence towards the Gods.

He looked at this in a pragmatic view—why was the Ice God's Position only reacting now, when it had numerous reasons to for a while back, and why was the Snow Empress so sure that it was the Ice God's Position that was reaching out for him?

Was it because he was now steadily walking the path of Ultimate Ice or something?

Or was it simply because Huo Yuhao was finally a strong fit for a vessel....

Huo Yuhao's eyes narrowed as he came to a realization.

What if...the Ice God was alive, barely from whatever injury they sustained, and is in need of a new body to inhabit? What if they hadn't reach out towards him because they only awakened right this moment?

However, such thoughts were simply full of flaws and holes. Huo Yuhao realized that his paranoia, while valid given the circumstances, might be leading him down a path of fear and mistrust.

If the Ice God had truly wanted to take over his body, wouldn't there have been signs earlier? Wouldn't the process have begun the moment he absorbed the Ice God's Bone or when his left arm transformed?

'Why now, and why this way?' he wondered, trying to calm his racing thoughts. It didn't fully add up.

If the Ice God had sinister intentions, they likely wouldn't have waited until Huo Yuhao became stronger and more capable of resisting. A takeover would have happened when he was weaker, more vulnerable. That's how it would make the most sense tactically.

But what really set him off was the sudden show of reverence and loyalty the Snow Empress has towards the Ice God.

Though she proclaims herself as the Apostle or Priestess of the Ice God, she never really showed any sort of respect when talking about their God—yet now she's suddenly acting all subservient?

'Something's wrong!' Huo Yuhao's eyes sharpened as activated his Sharingan, the three magatamas in his eyes spun and changed into the Mangekyou Sharingan.

Through his eyes, he could see some sort of blue thread attached behind Snow Empress's head.

'What the hell is that?!' Huo Yuhao's heart raced as he stared at the blue thread connected to the back of Snow Empress's head. His Mangekyou Sharingan, with its enhanced vision and perception to reveal certain truths of reality, revealed something that he couldn't have seen before—something deeply unsettling.

It was as if an invisible force was subtly controlling or influencing Snow Empress, as if she was a puppet—and this was the first time Huo Yuhao had detected it.

'Is this why she's acting so differently?' he wondered, his mind piecing together the sudden shift in her behavior.

Snow Empress, who had always been aloof and independent, now kneeled before him with reverence. It wasn't natural. As the absolute leader of the Extreme North, after the disappearance of the Ice God, she held a pride that only the top most powerful Beasts in the world could rival—why would she kneel before a human?

This thread could be the reason for her sudden loyalty and devotion to the Ice God, and Huo Yuhao had no idea how deep the influence went.

'Is she being manipulated? Or worse... is she already under the control of the Ice God's consciousness?' Huo Yuhao thought, his pulse quickening.

He had to wake her up, now.

Huo Yuhao clasped his hands together into a handseal, his Mangekyou Sharingan seemed to shine as blood began to drip from the corners of his eyes.

Activating the full power of his Mangekyou Sharingan, Huo Yuhao focused intensely on the blue thread connected to Snow Empress's head. He had to break whatever influence was controlling her before it could dig deeper into her mind—or worse, reach him.

"Kuraokami!" Huo Yuhao whispered, activating his left eye's Mangekyou Sharingan ability.

The Kuraokami was created from the connection to the Ice Affinity Huo Yuhao developed as well as his natural Fire and Spiritual Affinities, the opposite of the Amaterasu that his Ancestor had showed to him in the past—Ultimate Cold, unbreakable and contradiction.

The Kuraokami channels the strongest ice to a immeasurable negative level of temperature that creates a contradiction in reality that burns anything that couldn't be stop.

The strongest ice that would burn physical materials as well as spiritual entities alike.

As Huo Yuhao activated Kuraokami, the space around him seemed to freeze and burn simultaneously, a paradoxical force that defied the natural order.

"Snow Empress, wake up to reality!"

His left eye pulsed with power as the icy aura surged from his Mangekyou Sharingan, enveloping the blue thread connected to Snow Empress's head. This power, born from his connection to Ultimate Ice, was not just cold—it was a force so absolute that it could disrupt both the energies of heaven and earth.

Snow Empress's face immediately changed, turning cold and dark. Her crystal blue eyes turned golden as the blue thread connecting her to the unseen force pulsed violently.

Her expression hardened, and for a brief moment, the Snow Empress that Huo Yuhao knew vanished, replaced by something far more dangerous.

Her once crystal blue eyes gleamed with an unsettling golden hue, filled with a chilling intensity that sent a shiver down Huo Yuhao's spine.

"You dare overstep your mortal authority? There's a limit to your arrogance, boy."

AN: I'm back! Sorry, sorry for not posting last week. I got a lot of personal matters going on that happened, which really depressed me....It doesn't really matter. What's important is that I'm back and with a new chapter!

Also, did you really expect for Yuhao's life to be smooth sailing? He has the Sharingan! And we all know what happens to those who has them.... Tho not to worry, I'm not gonna do him dirty like what Tang San did in the original.
