Douluo Dalu 3: Purple-Gold Dragon God

Chapter 108: Chapter 108: Reunion with Everyone

As Gu You moved deeper into the building, he crossed under a vaulted dome, climbed the stone stairs, and nimbly slipped through the arched windows on the side. Looking out through these windows, he saw vast green fields, gently undulating, with elegantly arranged plants. It was impossible to guess how large the main teaching building truly was. The front's circular structure was clearly just a part of it — judging by the sheer luxury of the place, even an imperial palace from the past would pale in comparison.

The Shrek Inner City controlled the tax rights over the entire Shrek City, accumulating an enormous amount of wealth.

After all, no matter how famous and powerful a school was, without resources and funding, it could never consistently nurture so many "monsters."

Tang Wulin and the others followed Shen Yi around two corridors before she led them into a large circular hall. The hall was spacious, with a ceiling nearly twenty meters high. On its massive walls, murals stretched across.

When Xie Xie looked up, his body instinctively shivered. The mural only depicted a single creature — a massive black dragon, with golden eyes, its wings spread wide, its entire body emanating a dark halo. Although it was just a mural, the painting was incredibly lifelike. Every dragon scale was vividly detailed, and the immense pressure it projected seemed almost real.

The others reacted similarly to Xie Xie, their faces turning pale. Tang Wulin resisted the reaction the best, while Gu Yue's body trembled slightly, her eyes flashing with shock before gradually returning to calm.

At some point, Shen Yi had disappeared. Teacher Wu Zhangkong was also no longer present. Inside this circular hall, only the four of them remained.

The pressure radiating from the black dragon mural kept intensifying, like surging waves.

The four of them were breathing heavily. A glimmer of golden light flashed at the corner of Tang Wulin's eye, helping him reduce the pressure, though it wasn't a long-term solution.

'Break through!'

At that moment, a voice cut through everything. A powerful wave of qi and blood surged forth, forming an invisible shield that enveloped all four of them.

"Hm?" A soft voice sounded as Shen Yi stepped out from behind a stone pillar — and beside her emerged an elderly man.

"It's you!" Shen Yi's eyes widened in surprise when she saw who it was.

"Gu You?" Xu Xiaoyan covered her mouth with her hands, her eyes filled with disbelief.

Gu You rolled his neck casually. "I'm here to take this exam too. Teacher Shen Yi, didn't you once say I only got in because of others? Well, today I'll prove myself fair and square. Give me some extra difficulty if you like!"

Shen Yi's mouth twitched awkwardly. She turned to the elder beside her. "Elder Li, what do you think?"

Elder Li scanned Gu You with a serious gaze, then gave a small nod. For the older generation like him, they rarely paid attention to news or gossip, so naturally, he hadn't heard about Gu You's exploits outside. "Not bad. He has the potential of a little monster. It's the first time I've seen someone able to stand up to the pressure of the Golden-Eyed Black Dragon King."

Shen Yi quietly sighed. If Gu You was considered just a "little monster," then by comparison, the rest of Shrek's inner court disciples were probably all trash.

The mural above them was painted by a titled Douluo from Shrek Academy who specialized in art. The reason it radiated such strong pressure was because, when the mural was created, the ink was mixed with a drop of blood from the Golden-Eyed Black Dragon King — once the top existence of the Star Dou Forest. The blood had been collected after a battle between the dragon and one of Shrek's top powerhouses.

For the students taking the entrance exam, this was a test of their spiritual power and bloodline strength.

The longer one could withstand the pressure, the stronger their spiritual power. But if someone with weak spiritual power could also persist for a long time, that meant the student carried something special in their bloodline that resisted the Golden-Eyed Black Dragon King's aura — the kind of student worth cultivating, with limitless future potential.

What shocked Shen Yi most about Gu You wasn't just that he withstood the pressure. It was that he had slipped into the exam room completely undetected, to the point where even Elder Li hadn't sensed him. Just how immense must his concealment skills and spiritual power be? Shen Yi didn't even dare to imagine.

'This guy has gotten way stronger…' Shen Yi naturally didn't know about Gu You's battle in the Extreme North. In her mind, her last memory of him was when he withdrew from the Tianhai Tournament.

"Elder Li, about their scores…?"

Elder Li glanced at the four members of Class Zero. "Luck is also part of strength. Give each of them eight points."

He hadn't noticed anything particularly special about Tang Wulin.

"Thank you, Elder Li." Shen Yi smiled brightly.

Without needing any prompting, Tang Wulin and the others bowed respectfully to the elder.

The elder smiled faintly. "I'm just giving some face to old Zhuo Shi. You kids sure arrived late." With that, he turned and walked off, but before leaving, he shot a deep glance at Gu You, nodding slightly to himself, lost in thought.

"Gu-ge… where have you been these past three years?" Xie Xie quickly ran over, his eyes filled with genuine excitement.

"Ah… it's a long story." Gu You smiled back. By now, everyone's height had nearly caught up to him — all around 1.7 meters tall. Tang Wulin, who used to be a full head shorter, was now almost the same height. Over these three years, Gu You hadn't changed much physically, at least in height, still around 1.7 meters, but the aura he exuded had changed drastically. His face had matured, no longer looking like an awkwardly tall nine-year-old, but someone poised and commanding.

"You always keep things so mysterious." Xie Xie shook his head. He knew that if Gu You didn't want to talk, no amount of probing would work.

"Long time no see." Gu You turned to Gu Yue.

"Mm, long time no see." Compared to three years ago, she had grown noticeably. Her hair was now cut short, clean and sharp, her figure tall and slender, even taller than Gu You himself.

Gu You couldn't help but wonder, 'What the heck have these four been eating? How did they grow this fast?' Xu Xiaoyan was still petite, but as expected, girls generally matured faster than boys. Even so, Gu Yue's development felt borderline absurd — her tall, elegant figure was close to perfect. Although she still had some youthful softness, she radiated vibrant, energetic beauty.

"You've all grown so much, huh? Three years ago, I said I owed you something. Seeing you again, I should give you a gift." A flash of white light flickered in Gu You's hand, and in his left palm appeared a necklace. At the center of the necklace was a gray gemstone. If one looked closely, they would see it subtly absorbing the surrounding soul power.

This necklace had been crafted from the material of the small black hole Gu You had sealed earlier. That thing, in the end, couldn't store items at all — the idea of an infinite storage locker had been wishful thinking. In fact, when Gu You had tested it by storing an object in the black hole a year ago, the result had been…
