"Heh, feisty little one," Gu You chuckled softly, no longer paying attention.

On the bus, occasional chatter rippled through, but most people kept their voices low.

Amid the tense atmosphere, the soul-guide buses slowly rolled out of the plaza, picked up speed, and left East Sea City behind.

Despite the uneasy mood, the buses entered the highway, accelerating smoothly.

The soul-guide highways used maglev and soul-guide technologies, greatly boosting the buses' speed — almost half that of soul-guide trains.

For shorter distances, they were even more convenient.

Gu You opened his eyes, gazing out the window at the passing scenery, light flickering in his gaze.

Beside him, Gu Yue sat calmly with her eyes closed.

To the east stretched the boundless sea, the highway built right along the shore.

The endless blue stretched as far as the eye could see, filling the heart with awe.

Ordinary people had to serve military duty at eighteen.

In the Tianhai Alliance region, the top draft pick was always the navy in Tianhai City.

Gu You was still far from eighteen.

And as a soul master, he had the right to choose his own path.
