Douluo Dalu 3: Purple-Gold Dragon God

Chapter 92: Chapter 92: True Dragon King-Level Battle

'Dragonization!'

When Gu You heard those words, his mind froze for a few seconds. But then he thought, 'If this really is a Dragon King-level martial soul with its bloodline, triggering it should be quite simple.'

Long Yuan's body began to transform, growing larger until he became a giant dragon over twenty meters long. Most astonishing of all, his battle armor didn't break apart but fit perfectly onto his dragon form — clearly made from extensible metal. That was Gu You's first thought.

"Holy crap! I actually get to see a dragon in my lifetime. Mom, I've made it!"

"Hey, you next to me — can you just watch quietly? Stop chirping like you've never seen the world before."

The word "dragon" was a symbol of power in any world, and even more so in Douluo, a small realm. Especially for modern people — the rarer something is, the more they long to witness it.

'Dragonization!'

Gu You's bloodline soul ring also lit up. His whole body started to transform, entering complete dragon form! No longer limited to semi-humanoid — another giant dragon, over ten meters long, appeared. Compared to Long Yuan, he was a little smaller.

The two dragons roared at each other, and the small arena no longer seemed big enough to hold them. The referee quickly led the Shrek students out of the arena — this wasn't a fight anyone below Soul Sage could be part of; it was just too absurd.

A massive soul device barrier began to rise over the Tianhai Alliance's arena, separating the battleground from the audience.

This was the highest-grade barrier in the entire Tianhai Alliance Tournament, built with level-seven technology, capable of withstanding all attacks below Soul Douluo level.

The official tournament livestream had already drawn tens of millions of viewers. It was simply explosive — no one had ever seen such an insanely powerful match.

Watching the two giant dragons, Gu Yue's expression grew more and more astonished. 'Are Dragon King bloodline martial souls just sidewalk decorations now? How could we run into so many…'

She couldn't help but wonder, 'If I only study human knowledge, can I really fulfill the great mission of soul beast revival?'

The two dragons roared and immediately launched into primal combat. Gu You slapped his giant claw toward Long Yuan's head, while Long Yuan lunged to bite Gu You's neck — but of course, a mouth isn't longer than an arm. Gu You smacked him to the ground in one blow, sending Long Yuan flipping backward. The strike was so strong that Long Yuan's eyes rolled back, exposing his dragon belly.

But Gu You, well aware of how cunning humans could be, had no intention of letting Long Yuan off so easily. Terrifying energy began to gather in his mouth, and with a blast, purple light swept across the entire field. Long Yuan reverted to human form, his face completely smashed.

Roar!!

Gu You lifted his head and roared skyward, shaking the entire arena with his emperor-like presence. Beast-type martial soul masters all felt the instinct to kneel — the aura of a true king.

Gu Yue stared at Gu You's dragon body, her expression turning odd. 'If we went by dragon tribe mate selection standards, Gu You would be a top-quality dragon — back in the golden age of the dragon clan, a million years ago, countless dragon girls would've been flirting with him, maybe even one of the Nine Dragon Kings would've taken a liking…'

Shaking her head hard, she scolded herself, 'What am I even thinking? As the Silver Dragon King, I'm half of the Dragon God! No dragon could ever be worthy of me — let alone a human.'

"Gu You!"

"Gu You!!"

The whole stadium erupted in cheers. The unbroken legend of Shrek Academy had been shattered — by him. Too strong, though his attitude was a bit rough.

The referee carried Long Yuan away, while medical staff rushed in, lifting him onto a stretcher and hurrying him off.

"What are you doing?" The old referee watched Gu You walk toward him and blurted out in confusion.

"Lend me the microphone, thanks." Gu You spoke politely.

The old man looked at him and thought, 'Quite well-mannered,' then handed over the mic.

Gu You coughed twice to test it. Working fine.

"Realize your mistake yet?" Shen Yi looked at Ye Xinglan. All the students lowered their heads in shame. They had cost Shrek its honor — honor spanning ten thousand years.

"Teacher… I… I won't dare again…" Ye Xinglan whispered, crying softly. She shouldn't have treated Gu You so badly, nor should she have publicly challenged him in front of everyone.

Shen Yi nodded. 'This is growth. Nothing wrong with it. Xinglan was born into a prestigious family, always spoiled, and her talent only made her more arrogant. This defeat might just be the best tempering for her future path. As for honor? It's just a title. If Shrek Academy can't even accept failure, then that would be the real loss of honor.'

"Look at me! Look at me!"

"I have something to say to everyone!!"

The entire audience turned their gaze to Gu You. Everyone wanted to hear what this genius who defeated Shrek Academy had to say.

"First, I want to apologize — to Ye Xinglan. I really shouldn't have cursed you when we first met. But hey, that's just how my temper is — who was she putting on that sour face for? Still, right is right. I don't have much else to say."

When Gu You finished, not only Ye Xinglan, but even Shen Yi was stunned. She knew this boy's temper — the fact that he would apologize on his own was truly rare.

"But that's not the main point." Gu You's eyes stayed calm. "Taking advantage of today's hype — I'll just say it: I plan to start a group. Anyone interested in joining?"

The audience burst into chatter. With Gu You's current strength, as long as he stayed alive, his future was surely Title Douluo — and not just any ordinary one. What was there to think about? Of course they'd join!

"Count me in!!"

"Count me in!!"

The entire crowd roared.

"This…" The officials of the Tianhai Alliance were stunned. Even some members from other alliances and federal officials chuckled to themselves. 'You can do that? Use an official platform to promote yourself and build hype? Not bad! But this boy is definitely worth making connections with — he's bound to be a future Title Douluo powerhouse.'

"Thank you all for your support! I, Gu You, give my thanks. Here's my soul communicator number — sign up enthusiastically! I'll check in now and then."

Gu You gathered his soul power and wrote out a string of numbers in the air with heavy strokes. Such precise soul power control — even the old referee's eyes went wide. 'I was a Soul Saint and couldn't do that… and he just casually pulls it off?!'

As Gu You exited, Ye Xinglan mumbled to herself. Thinking back to how she had looked down on him before, she felt nothing but frustration. 'There's always someone better. The world never lacks geniuses — or surprises.'

"Xinglan-jie, are you okay?" Xu Lizhi appeared, concerned.

"I'm fine, what could possibly be wrong?" Ye Xinglan pouted. "I'm the genius of the Star Saint Family, destined to become the Star Sword God… how could anything be wrong…"
