--- Chapter 126 ---
Han Yuan was in deep meditation. The Soul Contract took longer than he expected, presumably because the Clear Sky Ant King doesn't want to take just any origins.
While the Heavenly Horned Ant was born using the genes of Fifteen Ton Ant Emperor and Heavenly Ant Mother, those spirit beasts could barely meet the Ant King's standard.
Thankfully, the Ant king wasn't picky with his first subordinate. Sensing the Heavenly Horned Ant's potential, the arrogant martial soul let the Spirit Soul's origins merge with Han Yuan.
Of course, it wasn't a quick operation. Han Yuan subtly felt his physique and cultivation become more robust, though his spiritual power didn't receive much boost.
After all, Han Yuan's spiritual power was too high. So, the growth brought by the 10,000-year-old Spirit Soul didn't cause many waves in his spiritual sea.
Then, an unusual spirit ring was born.
This spirit ring was black like any other 10,000-year-old spirit ring.
Nevertheless, since the spirit ring was 'innately' generated from the Soul Contract between Han Yuan, the Clear Sky Ant King, and the Heavenly Horned Ant, the spirit ring possesses two distinct crimson-golden horn marks.
The interesting part about this spirit ring was the fact it was alive!
After all, the spirit ring is the energy body for the spirit beast's origins and carrier of their soul. Of course, the Heavenly Horned Ant's soul was safe in Han Yuan's spiritual sea, making the spirit ring more of the outer body.
And there is more!
This spirit ring actually held two spirit skills, one active and one passive spirit skill.
Learning "Spiritual Engraving" from Ah Yin, Han Yuan knew the number of spirit skills in spirit bones and rings isn't 'innately' fixed, but he must meet a few conditions first.
The quality of the spirit bones and rings must be high, meaning the spirit beast or Spirit Soul must have pure yet robust origins. Another condition is that no resentment should exist in them, making the origins malleable.
One must also have an enormous reserve of spiritual energy, or Spiritual Engraving will fail.
Han Yuan's condition was similar to Huo Yuhao when Wang Qiu'er, the Auspicious Emperor, sacrificed herself to him, generating the rose-gold spirit ring carried an overpowered spirit skill to affect destiny and another spirit skill that weakened one's defense by mismatching spiritual sense and physical body.
The Auspicious Emperor fulfilled all the conditions. Being the Three-Eyed Golden Lion, her bloodline was very noble and held great status amongst the spirit beasts, and she loved Huo Yuhao so much that she was willing to sacrifice herself for him.
Back to the Forbidden Spirit Soul, the Heavenly Horned Ant, who granted two spirit skills. While these spirit skills aren't outrageous like Three-Eyed Golden Lion's Destiny Demise, they are still 'naturally' overpowered.
The name of the first spirit skill Heavenly Horned Ant gave is the Pride of Atlas, which boosts all of Han Yuan's attributes to no limit as long as he supports his sky (pride). It was a passive skill that grew alongside Han Yuan, just like Purple Silver Grass's 1st spirit skill.
However, the Pride of Atlas is more straightforward. The king's status is not to be insulted, and as long as Han Yuan believes in the weight of pride, his strength will grow beyond leap.
And there is the second spirit skill.
It's called the Clear Sky Horn Transformation. It offered Han Yuan the power to tear everything apart, including heaven and earth, with sheer physical prowess.
Unfortunately, Han Yuan doesn't know the exact limits of Clear Sky Horn Transformation. The vague introduction of the spirit skill seemed to give him another attribute. Yes, Extreme Penetration!
As for the Clear Sky Ant King, Han Yuan didn't feel any particular changes happened to the martial soul. The Ant King is quiet, which is weird.
Dum! Dum!
Han Yuan suddenly felt something squeezing his heart. His eyes widened as he knew this feeling was, "This is..."
BOOOOOOOOOOM!!
...
In the outside world, Ah Yin was busy shielding Han Yuan from the attack of Lightning Calamity. Her forehead furrowed with beads of sweat as she finally realized her new ability weakness.
"As expected, my Devouring still isn't enough to consume the Lightning Calamity whole."
"The energy produced by the Wrath of Heaven was too much for my body to handle."
Yes, Ah Yin tried to devour the Lightning Calamity. Yet, since she doesn't possess a body loved by lightning like Han Yuan, she couldn't handle the destructive force afterward.
Thankfully, Ah Yin's rich and strong vitality allowed her to gain something from the Lightning Calamity. Although severely weaker than the original, she has isolated the Demonic Red Lightning and made it hers.
Of course, that's the limit Ah Yin could do. After all, she's here to protect her dear son and not gain extra power. In fact, this was just a surprise when she tried to devour the Lightning Calamity.
Suddenly, Ah Yin felt a shiver down her spine. Her body heated up as she hurriedly turned around and saw a dark-armored figure with dark gold horns growing on each side of its helmet.
The figure and his horn gave Ah Yin a suffocating sensation. On top of that, this suffocating sensation forced dominion over her soul and body, something that only Han Yuan should have.
"X-Xiao Yuan, is that you?" She asked worriedly, clutching her chest while breathing heavily.
Yet the dark-armored figure didn't respond.
Kacha!
The mouth part of the helmet cracked, revealing the razor-sharp teeth of ants.
ROOOOOOOOOOOOAARRR!
The dark-armored figure roared at the sky, particularly at the Lightning Calamity.
He bent down before jumping to the sky with insane strength, causing a massive crack in the ground that shook the entire mountain.
"Clear Sky!" The dark-armored figure clenched its hand before sending a punch toward the Lightning Calamity.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!
The thunderclouds dispersed almost instantly, and the same goes with the Lightning Calamity, revealing a clear sky with a bright white moon.
As the figure gazed at the clear sky and the white moon in a trance, the jet-black armor cracked, revealing Han Yuan with crown-shaped golden marks on his forehead.
Han Yuan groaned in an annoying headache as he shouted, "Damn you, Ant King! You actually used the free chance to get out to launch such an attack..."
"You're making a problem for me and Dao Academy!" He couldn't help but curse the damned martial soul. "Tch, now, many factions should have eyed the academy because of this."
The Clear Sky Ant King's intention was clear. He was bored and wanted to make Han Yuan enter the spotlight quickly so he could use his power.
Han Yuan sighed helplessly, "Whatever, I will deal with them later..."
"It's not like my Dao Academy is weak."
"Erlong alone could protect the academy."
Han Yuan used his spiritual power to sense the changes in his body and sighed again because contracting the Heavenly Horned Ant didn't allow him to reach level 70.
The distance between level 69 and level 70 is like a chasm.
Then, again, the Heavenly Horned Ant only gave the Clear Sky Ant King one spirit ring because that's the limit the Ant King put.
Han Yuan kicked the air and hurriedly descended to the ground, finding Ah Yin waiting for him.
"Are you okay?" They asked simultaneously.
Then, they blinked and chuckled at each other.
Ah Yin curiously asked, "Xiao Yuan, what kind of Spirit Soul do you contract to cause such an abnormal reaction?"
Han Yuan summoned the chibi-version of the Heavenly Horned Ant, which looked more cartoonish and cute, and replied, "Let me introduce you to the Heavenly Horned Ant."
"She's my first Spirit Soul."
"She?" Ah Yin stared at the Spirit Soul suspiciously.
The Heavenly Horned Ant gave Han Yuan a revered look and replied excitedly with her spiritual power, 'I chose to be female for my King!'
"..." Han Yuan stared at the Heavenly Horned Ant blankly as didn't know that was the reason.
"Well, that matters aside..."
"Do you want a name?"
'Please grant me a name, my King!' The Heavenly Horned Ant responded frantically.
Han Yuan nodded, "Then, from now on, you're Neru."
'Neru...' The Heavenly Horned Ant's crimson eyes lit up.
'I like it, my King!'
Ah Yin pouted, "Okay, enough time with your subordinate! Xiao Yuan! You owe me a whole night of cuddling, and I take no for an answer!"
"Uh..." Han Yuan awkwardly smiled at her. "Okay, then."
Thus, Han Yuan and Ah Yin sleep with each other.
Although it was such a shame, they didn't do anything besides cuddling.
They are tired, after all.
