Chapter 91: Chapter 91: Asura Hell
The moment Dugu Bei saw his uncle in danger, he made his decision. Without hesitation, he canceled his Devouring Domain and activated Asura Hell, the pinnacle of his Asura Domain's power.
"Asura Hell."
As those two words left his lips, his eyes turned blood-red and an overwhelming chill engulfed the battlefield. An intangible wave of ice-cold terror spread through the minds of every living being present. Shadows of ancient battlefields flashed within their consciousness, mountains of corpses, rivers of blood, a suffocating aura of death and despair. The orcas, even the mighty Evil Spirit Orca King, felt their very souls tremble under the weight of a force beyond their comprehension.
Within the domain, the attributes of all soul beasts were constantly being weakened. The oppressive aura rendered them sluggish, weakening their strength and their minds. The Orca King, already injured from its prolonged battle with the Venomous Fire Dragon, felt a dreadful realization settle deep within its mind, this human was suppressing him, reducing his overwhelming might to a mere fraction of its true power.
For the first time in centuries, the Evil Spirit Orca King felt fear.
Bei wasted no time. With the Orca King momentarily paralyzed by terror, he activated his Fourth Spirit Ability: Spider Dash, and combined it with Slaughter Assault. His figure blurred, becoming a crimson streak across the battlefield. In mere seconds, he collided against the massive body of the Orca King, his Eight Spider Lances piercing through its thick hide like molten blades through ice. Poison spread from the lances, seeping into the King's veins, its corrosive nature eating away at the beast's insides.
The Orca King howled in agony, its massive form sent hurtling backward across the ice. It crashed onto the frozen battlefield, carving deep trenches into the frozen ground. Blood sprayed from the wounds inflicted by Bei's merciless attack.
As Bei turned his gaze toward Dugu Xin and Liu Erlong, his aura seethed with a killing intent so potent it was almost tangible.
"You're not the only ones with hidden cards," he said coldly, his voice devoid of all warmth.
Liu Erlong and Dugu Xin exchanged glances, shocked at the lack of emotions in Bei's voice. His usual mischievous demeanor had vanished, replaced by an aura of unrelenting slaughter.
The Orca King, still writhing from the venom, forced itself to its full height, its deep voice laced with rage and arrogance.
"How dare you attack me, you insolent child? I am Xie Hu, leader of the Evil Spirit Or—"
Before it could finish, Bei appeared before its immense face in an instant, Slaughter Assault and Spider Dash still in full effect. Then he summoned his Dragon Slaying Saber in his hand, its lethal edge gleaming ominously.
"Yes, charmed to meet you," Bei interrupted with emotionless indifference. He raised his blade. "Now do me a favor and die."
The saber plunged downward, sinking deep into the Orca King's skull. The beast let out an earth-shaking scream of pain, thrashing violently in retaliation. Despite its injuries, the monstrous soul beast was still immensely powerful, and it retaliated with a tidal wave of dark energy, sending Bei flying backward.
The battle resumed in a violent blur of steel, poison, and relentless assault. Bei wielded the Dragon Slaying Saber with terrifying precision, striking at every opening the Orca King revealed. The Eight Spider Lances dug into its flesh at every opportunity, injecting ever more poison into its system. But the Orca King was not an easy prey. Even weakened, it lashed out with devastating force, shattering ice and creating massive waves that threatened to sweep Bei away.
However, Bei was relentless. Activating his Skull Bone, he unleashed a powerful mental attack, sending a searing pain through the Orca King's mind. The beast let out another cry, its immense body trembling from the combined assault of physical, poisonous, and mental attacks.
Realizing the dire situation, the Orca King's arrogance shattered. Panic took hold.
"I will not die here," it snarled, its massive form turning toward the open ocean. It began to retreat, its powerful tail sending massive chunks of ice flying as it prepared to escape into the depths.
Bei's eyes narrowed. He could not let it escape.
Channeling all the power he had stolen with his Devouring Domain, he focused it entirely into his Asura Hell. The energy condensed, intensifying the domain's influence over the battlefield, specifically over the 100,000-year soul beast. A paralyzing fear unlike anything before gripped the Orca King, freezing it in place just as it reached the water's edge.
A red energy began to swirl around Bei. His body lifted from the ice field, suspended in mid-air as the power grew almost beyond his control. The presence that emerged from him felt like something ancient, overwhelming, and almost divine.
The Orca King's eyes widened in horror.
"This… this is the influence of a God," it stammered. "You shouldn't have such power!"
Bei ignored the beast's pleas. His voice was cold and absolute.
"Asura Death Formation."
The red energy coalesced into a terrifying, rapidly rotating light, filled with a deafening wail of death. The moment it was unleashed, it tore through the battlefield like an unstoppable force of nature. The Orca King had no chance to resist. The icy, blood-soaked killing intent within the attack consumed it, shredding its body from the inside out.
A final, agonized scream echoed across the frozen expanse before its massive body collapsed onto the ice, lifeless as a brilliant red soul ring floated above its corpse, shimmering ominously.
The moment their king fell, the remaining orcas shrieked in terror. Without hesitation, they fled into the depths, their fear overriding all sense of vengeance. The battlefield was finally silent.
Bei exhaled heavily as he released his domain. Exhaustion hit him like a tidal wave, his body weakening as he fell from the sky. But before he could crash into the frozen ground, firm hands caught him.
Dugu Xin.
Liu Erlong rushed toward them, her face lined with concern. "Bei, are you okay?"
He managed a small, tired smile. "I'm fine… just tired."
A new presence approached, the Madam. Despite the victory, her expression was one of sorrow. She gazed at the battlefield, where the corpses of nearly half the crew lay, their bodies frozen in their final moments of sacrifice.
Seeing her pain, Bei placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "We'll reach Sea God Island and honor their memory," he said solemnly. "Their sacrifices won't be in vain."
She nodded, her sadness not disappearing, but the weight on her shoulders slightly lessened.
As the survivors gathered, tending to their wounds and fortifying their spirits, Bei's eyes drifted toward the fallen body of the Evil Spirit Orca King. The brilliant red soul ring above it pulsed with power, waiting to be taken.
