Chapter 16: Chapter 16: Ye Hao Got Angry
"Tang San, you alone are enough. Why did you drag me into this?"
Reluctantly, Ye Hao commented. He had spent the last four days either traveling or exploring the forest. Now he just wanted a good night's sleep.
"Ye Hao, we're roommates. How can you just watch while a roommate is in danger?
Tang San gradually developed a new perspective on Ye Hao during their time together.
Ye Hao was a self-centered individual who did what he wanted to do without following any rules, just doing what his heart told him.
Tang San had a hard time figuring him out for someone like this. Such individuals, on the other hand, were dangerous; you could be surprised at any time.
Tang San was prepared to take chances for his roommate. When Ye Hao saw this, he said nothing more because he only wanted to put an end to the altercation and go back to sleep in the dorm.
The battle had obviously escalated to a heated stage on the playground. Alongside the opponent brandishing a staff, Wang Sheng's battle tiger martial soul had come to life.
As the saying goes, "an inch of strength is worth an inch of advantage."
The staff landed like raindrops on Wang Sheng's wrist. Wang Sheng held on and grated his teeth throughout the battle. He had been in charge of the working students prior to Xiao Wu's arrival.
To guard against the bullying of noble students, this kind of situation had been common, sometimes even one against two.
Tang San and Ye Hao soon made their way to the crowd.
"Wang Sheng is going to lose."
Tang San then made a significant announcement.
"Tang San, you are back?"
When Xiao Wu saw the two, she turned around in surprise.
"Where have you been for the past four days? And Ye Hao, what were you two doing? Why didn't you take me with you?"
Tang San: "..."
"We had a large feast," Ye Hao retorted. We did not bring you along because we have spent the last few days exploring every part of Notting City while eating and drinking well."
Hearing this, Xiao Wu experienced a mixture of helplessness and rage. She was aware that she could never defeat Ye Hao and that she was no match for him.
Ye Hao went on, "Their spicy rabbit heads are especially good there in the city's east. I consumed more than a dozen, and Tang San consumed a good number as well, correct?
When Tang San saw Xiao Wu's bitter eyes, he nodded hazily but soon realized it was a mistake.
Tang San: Should I still say what I have to say?
"You... You guys, hum! ╭(д)╮"
"I'm ignoring you!"
Xiao Wu turned away in anger.
Tang San: "..."
He looked at Ye Hao resentfully. Was it necessary?
Tonight, the two of them would be sharing a bed; he had missed his opportunity.
Tonight, he would have to crawl into Ye Hao's quilt if he could not sleep in his own bed.
Ye Hao: Would you like a taste of Death Spider Emperor poison?
Tang San: (°°)
"Ah—"
After being hit by the opponent's staff, Wang Sheng lost his ability to fight and fell out of the possession state, leaving him with numerous bruises. He spat out a mouthful of blood. The disparity in strength between the two sides was evident.
"Wang Sheng, a little girl beat you, proving that you are not such a great leader after all!"
The person with the staff was Liu Long, who had a history of animosity toward Wang Sheng. They had frequently clashed while Wang Sheng was in charge.
"Do not get arrogant, Liu Long; you will have your day!"
Wang Sheng saw Ye Hao in the crowd and was thrilled, not discouraged by his loss. He was the true boss!
The boss hadn't been around for days, and his aura had become terrifying. With time...
There was an overpowering aura; Ye Hao was resentful. Anyone would be the same; all he wanted to do was go to sleep, but Tang San abruptly pulled him into this.
At this moment, he was boiling with anger with no way to vent it, staring coldly at the group across from him. You'd better not provoke me, or else...
Wang Sheng's loss abruptly demoralized Xiao Wu's group of working students.
On the contrary, Xiao Chenyu's noble students grew even more conceited, egotistical, and high-spirited.
Xiao Chenyu raised his head, nostrils in the air, and laughed loudly, "Xiao Wu, you guys aren't so great after all. So, I will not make things hard for you because we all went to the same academy. I will let you all leave if you all call me "Old Big Xiao." "How about that?"
Xiao Wu frowned. Asking her to call Xiao Chenyu "Old Big"? It was absurd; she could have been his ancestor. He was not deserving of being her grandson.
"You ought to spar with me, Xiao Old Big. If I lose, I'll call you 'Old Big.' What do you think?"
Xiao Wu actively challenged him. Xiao Chenyu was a little taken aback. Even though his opponent was a "little girl," he was in the sixth grade, and she was a new student who had most likely never seen a soul ring before. His first soul ring was ten years!
Wasn't this a bit excessive?
However, since Xiao Wu was in charge of the working students, it made sense. He would be the biggest person in the entire Notting Junior Soul Master Academy if he were to defeat her.
Who would dare to treat him disrespectfully from now on?
"Okay, that is a deal."
Secretly, Xiao Wu was pleased to see Xiao Chenyu agree. Her long-suppressed resentment would at last find a "reasonable" outlet.
Ye Hao, meanwhile, stood at the rear of the crowd, staring in disbelief at the absurd scene in front of him. He felt his eyelids getting heavier.
Why was there so much pointless talking? They ought to just fight! He thought there was no point in all this; he detested it when they took their time.
Bored, Ye Hao just went to a nearby tree to take a nap. He could not help but laugh as he looked at the white soul ring at his feet and Xiao Chenyu's martial soul.
How could he possibly accept Xiao Wu's challenge? Xiao Chenyu would have a "bad time."
"What are you laughing at?"
Just then, Ye Hao was sitting beneath the tree when a plain-looking student from the noble group yelled at him.
Ye Hao ignored the individual, rolling his eyes at him. There was no point in arguing with a child.
But Ye Hao's actions certainly appeared contemptuous to that person.
There was no changing the fact that commoners remained commoners and nobles were nobles.
Nobles looked down on others. Why was there such a huge gap between people?
With impatient glances at the student who had been barking like a crazy dog, Ye Hao slowly got to his feet.
"Is it you?"
In fact, the person who had made fun of him in the dining room. It was an enemy on a small road. He had not wished to cause him any trouble, but here he was, coming forward to meet his demise.
Meanwhile, Xiao Wu released her rabbit martial soul, and her soul ring appeared under her feet.
A hundred-year soul ring and the Death Spider Emperor appeared as the entire field was instantly crushed by a tremendous and powerful pressure.
With his hundred-year soul ringing at his feet, Ye Hao strode forward, slowly approaching the group of nobles with the formidable Death Spider Emperor in tow.
