Douluo Dalu: The Legend of The Spider Emperor

Chapter 56: Chapter 56: Am I Weaker Than Him?

"A sanctimonious hypocrite!"

Ye Hao spat the silver needle from his mouth, his eyes filled with disdain as they locked onto Tang San's enraged gaze.

"Tang San, you're nothing but trash!"

"I'll make you shut up forever!" Tang San roared, his fury exploding.

The Eight Spider Lances behind him lunged downward like a set of ravenous claws, aiming to pierce Ye Hao on the spot.

Unmoved, Ye Hao's own spider spears clashed against Tang San's, sparks flying as the two sets of venomous weapons met midair.

"Xiao San, I'll help you!"

Dai Mubai seized the opportunity, surging forward with tiger claws gleaming, while Ma Hongjun approached from behind, his face still burning with the clear imprint of Ye Hao's slap.

"Phoenix Fire Array!" Ma Hongjun bellowed, unleashing a torrent of flame, engulfing the battlefield in its searing heat.

Ye Hao appeared cornered, caught between the two-pronged attack of Tang San and Ma Hongjun, with no room to escape.

But the smirk on Ye Hao's face betrayed his confidence. Suddenly, the Six-Winged Purple Light Wings on his back unfurled, propelling him into the air in an instant. Tang San, caught off guard, found himself inexplicably flying upward, the web of control slipping from his grasp.

Below, Dai Mubai froze in horror as Ma Hongjun's fire struck him head-on. The searing flames ignited his clothing, leaving him scrambling to douse the fire while the crowd erupted into laughter.

"Hahahaha!"

"Didn't think we'd get a show! The Evil-Eyed White Tiger, huh? He lives up to the name."

The female audience members turned away, their faces flushed with embarrassment as Dai Mubai stood exposed, his scorched clothes reduced to ashes. He hastily ran toward the edge of the platform, intending to retrieve something to cover himself.

But as he hesitated near the edge, a sharp pain shot through his backside. Ye Hao's spider spear jabbed him with a swift and humiliating strike, sending him tumbling off the stage.

Dai Mubai landed awkwardly below, sprawled out in defeat.

"The Evil-Eyed White Tiger? Truly impressive!" Ye Hao mocked, bowing theatrically toward the fallen Dai Mubai.

"You…!" Dai Mubai's vision blurred with anger before he fainted on the spot.

With Dai Mubai disqualified, Shrek's morale took a serious hit. Tang San was left to face both Shi Mo and Shi Mo's impenetrable defenses, growing increasingly fatigued.

Meanwhile, Ma Hongjun, his face still stinging from Ye Hao's earlier slap, focused his fiery rage entirely on him. The battle entered a fever pitch as Ma Hongjun unleashed Phoenix Fire Wire after Phoenix Fire Array, his flames roaring across the arena.

Ye Hao dodged effortlessly, deflecting the flames with his Spider Spears. Finally, he closed the gap with a flash of movement, striking Ma Hongjun's chest with his spear.

With a single clean motion, Ma Hongjun's clothing shredded apart, leaving him standing in nothing but a pair of red underwear. The audience erupted in laughter again.

"Consider yourself lucky," Ye Hao sneered, sparing Ma Hongjun the ultimate humiliation with a dismissive kick that sent him tumbling off the stage.

Shrek's position became dire. With both Dai Mubai and Ma Hongjun eliminated, Tang San, Ning Rongrong, Oscar, Zhu Zhuqing, and Xiao Wu remained—but the tide had turned.

Zhu Zhuqing continued to be harassed by Oslo's relentless speed, while Xiao Wu was overpowered by the sheer strength of Shi Mo and Shi Mo's combined assault.

Shi Mo and Shi Mo threw their massive Tortoise Shell Armor into the air, controlling it to crash down onto the agile Xiao Wu.

From the VIP box, Grandmaster clenched his fists, knowing Shrek's chances were slipping away.

Ye Hao moved methodically, cutting through Shrek's remaining strength. He appeared behind Oscar and Ning Rongrong, his Spider Spears poised threateningly at their throats.

Oscar raised his hands in surrender, stepping off the stage without hesitation.

"I have no intention of becoming the next joke here," he muttered under his breath, his pride intact.

Ning Rongrong, however, grinned mischievously. Pushing Ye Hao's spear aside with a playful gesture, she whispered, "You're the one they call 'Spicy Rabbit Head,' aren't you?"

Ye Hao smirked and nodded silently, gesturing for her to leave.

"Good luck, then!" Ning Rongrong gave him a cheeky thumbs-up before retreating.

With only three members of the Shrek Seven Devils remaining—Tang San, Zhu Zhuqing, and Xiao Wu—against the fully intact Emperor Team, the situation looked grim.

Tang San's heart raced.

Why does this always happen? Why do I always lose to Ye Hao?

In this life, he was a prodigy, a genius reborn with unmatched talent and knowledge.

Am I truly weaker than him?

His Eight Spider Lances twitched menacingly, and a cold resolve settled into his eyes.

"No," Tang San muttered under his breath. "I will not lose."
