Douluo Dalu: The Legend of The Spider Emperor

Chapter 8: Chapter 8: A Kind Misunderstanding

Ye Hao was bewildered. Did this rabbit has a problem?

Son?

The Death Spider Emperor —her?

Wait a minute, could it be related to that incident?

Ye Hao retracted the spider spear, the black armor on his chest vanished, and his face returned to normal. He released Xiao Wu.

"I don't know what you're talking about. I've been an orphan since I was little. You can ask Tang San if you don't believe me."

Tang San paused slightly. "Yes, Ye Hao came here with me."

Xiao Wu felt a little anxious and glanced at Tang San. This boy looked honest and shouldn't be lying.

"Then… why is your martial soul…"

Xiao Wu continued to inquire. Ye Hao's martial soul was the same as that woman's. For some reason, as she looked at Ye Hao, her mind flashed back to that night, to the woman's face, a memory that was deeply imprinted.

The two of them looked almost like they were cast from the same mold. Anyone who saw them would probably think they were mother and son. That was the power of the life simulation system, but the system had run away, leaving Ye Hao all alone...

Ye Hao said, "The world is vast, and there's no shortage of wonders. There are many types of martial souls. Although I don't know who you're talking about, I can assure you that there are other rabbit martial souls besides yours. Please don't take it personally."

Xiao Wu realized that he had misjudged Ye Hao's character. Her face turned red, feeling a bit embarrassed.

"I'm… I'm sorry. I… I mistook you for someone else."

As the saying goes, if someone doesn't offend me, I won't offend them.

Ye Hao rolled his eyes at Xiao Wu. It was you who attacked first. If I could, I would have already killed you to make a soul ring and wouldn't have left you alive today. However, it's just that I haven't reached the limit for absorbing soul rings yet.

Ye Hao snorted coldly, "You're still the boss here in the seventh dormitory. I'm not interested in your little games, so don't disturb me unless there's something important."

The others had witnessed Ye Hao's strength firsthand, so they didn't dare to provoke him. Looking at the messy ground, they quickly got to work cleaning up. The work-study dormitory was specifically provided by the school, and if the teachers found out about today's events, they would definitely face punishment.

Strong individuals are always sought after, and Tang San appeared indifferent, choosing a bed close to Ye Hao. Watching Ye Hao lying sideways, he felt a surge of emotions. This was the real hidden powerhouse!

(Ye Hao: Exactly, that's right! You're the one! You're the one!)

"Ye Hao, Tang San, come here to get your bedding."

The door opened gently, and the traces of the earlier battle with Xiao Wu had vanished without a trace. The two teachers who came to deliver the bedding didn't notice anything unusual.

"Thank you."

Ye Hao replied casually, took his bedding, and returned to his bed. Before long, Master would probably take him to the Soul Hunting Forest to hunt soul beasts.

The Death Spider Emperor and the Soul Devouring Spider Emperor. The first soul ring should not be approached carelessly, it's better to absorb a century-old soul ring steadily. Although this body has been blessed by the system, absorbing soul rings required careful consideration.

It would be best to encounter spider-type soul beasts, like the Man-Faced Demon Spider or the Soul Devouring Spider. Those soul rings would truly be a good match for him.

In his free time, Ye Hao chose to lie back, leisurely squinting his eyes as he watched Xiao Wu throw her bag onto Tang San's bed.

They really were a pair. They hadn't even grown up yet, but they were already living together. Was this a boy-training plan?

Time passed quickly, and lunchtime arrived.

Ye Hao was a work-study student. If he had agreed to Su Yuntao's request earlier, he would be the only one going to the second floor for lunch.

Walking through the spacious dining hall, Ye Hao glanced at the boy dressed in luxurious clothes who was rolling his eyes at him. He couldn't be much older than himself. Ye Hao shook his head inwardly, there would be plenty of time in the future...

Xiao Wu had a stubborn temperament. If she hadn't been stopped, she would probably have laid down the students upstairs.

Such things happening at the academy were quite common. In the current world of soul masters, nobles looked down on commoners, and commoners who didn't have the Spirit Hall's help to awaken their martial souls would probably see the profession of soul master fade away as well.

Even in a grass hut, a golden phoenix might emerge, and a carp would eventually turn into a dragon.

The food was plain and simple. For Ye Hao although, it wasn't gourmet, but it filled his stomach, which was good enough.

Throughout the meal, Xiao Wu's gaze was fixated on the second floor, and her heart began to compete secretly. He shouldn't provoke the rabbit or she might hold a grudge.

Seeing this, Tang San shook his head and smiled bitterly. Having lived a second life, his temperament was no longer that of a child. He didn't have the time for such petty squabbles.

During the free time, Tang San looked at Ye Hao for a while. He couldn't help but nod Ye Hao remained as steady as ever. This person was not simple! He should only be befriended, not made an enemy.

In the Heaven Dou Empire, Heaven Dou City, the capital of the nation.

At the center of Heaven Dou City stood an imposing building, the Spirit Hall, second only to the Hall of the Pope. There were only two Spirit Halls on the continent, located in the capitals of the two great empires.

The bishop responsible for the Spirit Hall in Heaven Dou City was named Salas, who was currently seated on a gilded chair. In front of his broad desk lay a letter sent by Matthew.

Salas felt quite displeased about this.

"Innate full soul power?"

Salas's eyes lit up. In this remote place of Notting City, there was actually someone with innate full soul power?

What did innate full soul power signify? Salas couldn't possibly be unaware; this was a big deal. In recent years, the Spirit Hall had been in rapid development, and attracting and utilizing talent was essential. Innate full soul power?

"Blue…"

Salas rubbed his eyes. Could it be that he was mistaken?

"Tang San? Innate full soul power, martial soul…"

"Blue… Blue Silver Grass?"

"What a joke! Since when does Blue Silver Grass have innate full soul power?"

"This is getting ridiculous. How can a trash martial soul like Blue Silver Grass possibly have innate full soul power? Hmph!"

"Teacher, are we going to get our soul rings tomorrow? So soon?"

Tang San sat in the Master's office, feeling a strange excitement as he listened to the Master's words. Ever since he arrived in this world, he had been practicing the Mysterious Heaven Skill but for some unknown reason. He couldn't break through the first bottleneck no matter how hard he tried.

Perhaps it was due to the differences from his original world; getting the first soul ring might allow him to break through the bottleneck of the Mysterious Heaven Skill.

Little did he know that far away in the Spirit Hall of Heaven Dou City, his information was being tossed by Salas who lacked the unique vision and not the Pope, if it were anyone else, it was uncertain whether Tang San would survive even one episode...
