Douluo Dalu: Three-Headed Dragon King

Chapter 175: Angel Inheritance, Three Immortal Herbs

Qian Renxue stood up, wiped away the tears at the corners of her eyes, and revealed a happy smile. She said excitedly, "Grandfather, don't worry. This time in seizing the throne, I've already gained the support of both the Blue Lightning Tyrant Clan and the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan. It won't be long before I replace Emperor Xue Ye."

But upon hearing this, Qian Daoliu didn't show joy—instead, his brows furrowed deeply. He asked in a low voice, "Xiaoxue… are you relying on that Yu Tianming?"

"Grandfather, even though Tianming and I are the same age, he has talent and fortune far beyond mine. He's already reached the realm of a god—"

"I know." Qian Daoliu interrupted her before she could finish. "As a Rank 99 Limit Douluo, the closest man on the continent to godhood—do you think I wouldn't notice someone entering godhood in Heaven Dou City?"

"Then why do you still…?"

Qian Daoliu raised a hand to stop her. He turned to gaze up at the towering golden Angel statue behind him, his eyes full of reverence.

"You don't understand, Xiaoxue. Even among gods, there are great differences. The founder of our Qian Clan—the Angel God—is a First-Rank God. In the vast divine world, ninety-nine percent are mere divine officials, Third-Rank Gods. Even Second-Rank Gods are considered elites."

He turned back and looked at Qian Renxue seriously. "I can say with certainty, Yu Tianming has not received the Sea God's inheritance. And I've never encountered the divine aura on him before. Though he's young and already become a god, it's likely he's merely a 'rough god'…"

"But Grandpa, I truly love him…"

"I know, Xiaoxue. I'm not objecting to your relationship. I just want to warn you—the two of you may face an insurmountable gap in strength. You should think it over carefully. But if you're truly set on being with him, I will still give you my blessing."

As he spoke, Qian Daoliu's gaze drifted westward, and scenes from a century ago surfaced in his mind.

Qian Renxue followed his gaze but saw only brilliant sunlight streaming through the windows. That dazzling light, to one with the Angel Spirit, felt warm and gentle.

She pulled out an oddly shaped fruit from her bosom and offered it to Qian Daoliu. "Grandfather, though I love Tianming, I haven't lost myself to it. We're mutually devoted. This immortal herb is called the Star Luo Spirit Pearl. It's a gift from Tianming."

The fruit was about palm-sized, golden and radiant, like a gem condensed from countless specks of starlight—shimmering like a fragment of the stars themselves.

Qian Daoliu raised the Star Luo Spirit Pearl and examined it closely. "An immortal herb? What a concentrated star force… this is no ordinary natural treasure."

"The Star Luo Spirit Pearl contains countless years' worth of stellar energy. It's far from ordinary. And beyond that, Tianming also gave me another divine-grade herb from his collection. With how generously he gives… even if he's just a rough god, what does it matter? He treats me sincerely. I will not betray him."

Indeed, Qian Renxue, despite being overly infatuated, was also decisive, sharp, and calm. In the original timeline, though she had feelings for Tang San after only a few meetings, she still stood firmly against him—far more loyal than Hu Liena, who betrayed Spirit Hall to support Tang San.

Qian Daoliu stared at his granddaughter's serious expression and fell silent. 'If they truly love each other… then so what if Yu Tianming only inherited the power of a lesser god? Xiaoxue grew up without a father and with a mother like Bibi Dong. If she can find real happiness in the end, that's the best outcome for her…'

He returned the Star Luo Spirit Pearl to her and smiled warmly. "This is a light-elemental herb and suits you well. You should absorb it quickly."

Qian Renxue smiled gently. To have her relationship with Yu Tianming supported by her dearest family—it made her genuinely happy.

Without saying more, she tilted her head back and swallowed the Star Luo Spirit Pearl in one bite, like drinking jelly.

As the fruit entered her body, she summoned her Angel Spirit. Six white wings began to flap gently behind her. Miraculously, her spirit form looked nearly identical to the golden Angel statue in the Elder Hall.

Standing beneath the Angel statue, her noble and holy aura became even more intense. She truly seemed like the incarnation of the Angel God on earth.

Qian Renxue, though only twenty, had already reached the seventieth level of cultivation. With her high talent, she quickly began absorbing the herb's power. In moments, more than half of the star energy within the Star Luo Spirit Pearl had been refined.

And just then—an anomaly occurred.

The brilliant, blazing light around her began to flicker with soft, shimmering starlight. The moment both coexisted, her divine pressure weakened slightly, but then it surged upward, growing even more powerful than before.

Qian Daoliu narrowed his eyes slightly. His long black hair fluttered despite no wind.

With his experienced eye, he could already make an assessment. "The Six-Winged Angel carries light, flame, and holy attributes—extremely rigid and intense. But things that are too hard tend to break easily. The Star Luo Spirit Pearl adds a hint of softness. Though its attribute opposes the Angel's, it's the perfect supplement. Not only did Xiaoxue not weaken—her spirit grew stronger."

As he spoke, Qian Renxue had already finished absorbing the herb's power. Though the transformation wasn't drastic, her aura now carried traces of subtle starlight alongside the intense holy radiance.

And far from weakening her, this fusion made her brilliance even more radiant. Though she was still just a Soul Emperor, her presence now rivaled many Soul Douluos.

Sensing this change, the Angel statue behind her emitted a faint golden glow as if in approval—an awe-inspiring sight.

Before Qian Daoliu could speak, Qian Renxue knelt before the statue and said aloud, "Grandfather, I want to absorb the second inherited soul bone and begin the Angel God's divine trials."

"Since you're ready, let's begin." Qian Daoliu nodded, raising one hand.

A golden soul bone appeared in his palm, but before he could act, the soul bone flew on its own—transforming into a beam of golden light and merging with Qian Renxue's body. Instantly, two golden soul bone outlines flickered on her frame, and her power jumped another level.

"Grandfather, the second soul bone fused without resistance. Let me continue with the third."

Her voice remained calm, but even Qian Daoliu was slightly surprised. 'The Angel God's inherited soul bones are no ordinary items. Each one requires acceptance. And the more you absorb, the harder it becomes. Only at Rank 100 can one fully inherit all six and form the Angel God's divine armor. At this rate… could she complete it before even reaching Rank 100?'

Half an hour later, with four soul bones in her body, Qian Renxue opened her eyes. A golden light flashed briefly between her brows.

As a descendant of the Qian Clan, she had automatically triggered the Angel God's inheritance upon receiving the second soul bone. What awaited her now were the nine divine trials set by the Angel God.

Because every generation of the Qian family possessed strong talent and the divine inheritance, even if not all could pass the eight trials like Qian Daoliu, they were still able to dominate Spirit Hall—the strongest force on the continent.

But Qian Renxue was different. As the fated Angel God, she was never meant to be ordinary. With her baptism complete, she was already on the path to divinity.

She rose and turned to Qian Daoliu. "Grandfather, let's begin the first trial…"

At the same time, in Blue Tyrant Academy.

The Blue Tyrant team had disbanded after losing eligibility for the tournament. Its members, now graduated, had each gone their separate ways.

Inside one of the academy's rooms, the tall figure of Yu Tianming sat lazily in an enormous chair. On either side sat his equally tall cousins, Yu Tianxin and Yu Tianheng.

All three wore the standard attire of the Blue Lightning Tyrant Clan, and their shared bloodline made them resemble one another by six or seven points. Together, they sat like three mountains—an imposing sight.

Yu Tianming took out two boxes and placed them on the table. "Inside these are two immortal herbs: Earth Dragon Golden Melon and Crystal Dragon Blood Ginseng. The ginseng was the heirloom of the agility clan, but it recently ended up in my hands. Both are dragon-type herbs—perfect for us."

Opening the boxes revealed a melon slightly larger than a fist, dark yellow and covered in dense scale-like patterns, emanating a strong earth element. The ginseng was crystal-clear and blood-red, with contours that resembled a soaring five-clawed dragon—vicious yet majestic.

Yu Tianming glanced between his two cousins. "The melon is earth-attribute. It'll likely boost your defenses and maybe awaken new traits in your Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon. The ginseng, meanwhile, is pure life force. It'll likely grant a strong offensive boost."

Yu Tianxin immediately said, "I usually prefer offense and have Lingling for healing. I'll take the Crystal Dragon Blood Ginseng."

Yu Tianming turned to Yu Tianheng. "And you?"

Yu Tianheng smiled calmly."Since Tianxin-ge chose the ginseng, I'll take the melon. My fighting style is more conservative anyway."

Yu Tianming nodded. 'Though all members of the Blue Lightning Tyrant Clan are brave warriors, their personalities still differ. Tianxin is aggressive like his father, whereas Tianheng, under Grandpa's watch, grew up cautious and steady. The melon suits him better.'

"Then begin," Yu Tianming said with a smile.

With his permission, the two grabbed their herbs and raced to Blue Tyrant Forest to begin refining.

This wasn't their first time. At eight and six respectively, Tianxin and Tianheng had consumed Nine-Rank Dragon Zhi at the Ice-Fire Yin Yang Well, causing their spirits to sprout dragon horns. Now, over a decade later, they had earned a second chance.

Impatient as always, Tianxin gulped down the ginseng at once. As his spirit activated, his Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon began to change.

Its thick tail thinned, the body stretched longer, red tendrils sprouted, and the blue scales turned purple. Even the lightning around it intensified.

When the transformation ended, the original dragon was gone. Yu Tianxin's form had grown leaner, and his long tail lashed the air, sparking arcs of lightning.

"Impressive," Yu Tianming praised. "Your physical strength didn't grow, but your lightning attacks got a serious boost—and you're much faster now too."
