Douluo: I Can Summon Goddesses Across the Multiverse

Chapter 36: Chapter 36: Tang Hao's Fate Worse Than Death, Comforting Xiao Wu

"Aaah!"

Tang Hao's body was severed in two by a single slash from Keisha's sword. Intense pain surged through him, contorting his face as he screamed in agony.

For an ordinary person, such grievous injuries would have caused them to pass out instantly.

However, as a Titled Douluo, Tang Hao possessed an immensely powerful life force. Even with his Soul Power sealed, he wasn't so fragile as to succumb immediately.

For cultivators of his rank, their vitality was so profound that even being bisected wasn't necessarily fatal. As long as the two halves were swiftly reconnected and the bleeding staunched, recovery was possible.

Tang Hao writhed on the ground, desperately trying to align his upper body with his still-twitching lower half.

"Hmph!"

Keisha, watching this pitiful display, snorted coldly, her expression full of disdain.

Although Yao Xuan had ordered her not to kill Tang Hao, he hadn't forbidden her from delivering a lesson so severe it would scar him for life.

With this in mind, an icy gleam appeared on Keisha's face. She raised her sword again, mercilessly striking Tang Hao's lower body.

Boom!

With a golden flash, her sword light struck Tang Hao's lower half. Holy flames erupted in brilliant splendor, reducing it to nothingness, leaving not even ashes behind.

"No!"

Tang Hao's eyes widened in horror, his face a mask of anguish.

Though Titled Douluo possessed incredible life force, they were far from achieving regenerative capabilities that could restore severed limbs, let alone regenerate an entirely lost lower body.

From this day forth, Tang Hao would forever remain a half-man.

Even worse, Keisha's strike had annihilated not only his legs but also the defining traits of his masculinity.

Tang Hao wasn't just a cripple—he was now a eunuch.

This realization sent Tang Hao into a despair-filled wail.

"Master, how should we handle him? Shall I convert him into a slave or a puppet?"

Keisha turned to Yao Xuan, seeking instructions after completing her task.

"A slave or puppet? Someone like him isn't even worthy of that. Keisha, doesn't your clan oversee the Nether Prison? Send Tang Hao there. Subject him to the most excruciating torment daily while ensuring he doesn't die. Let him await his final judgment."

A faint smile appeared on Yao Xuan's face as he gave the command.

The Angel Clan, as a race of supreme power, had numerous enemies. Those captured were imprisoned in the Nether Prison, where they endured endless suffering, existing in a state worse than death.

Keisha, as the queen of the Angel Clan, held the keys to this prison. Once confined there, a prisoner would face perpetual torment, their body and soul subjected to unrelenting agony.

"As you command, Master!"

Keisha nodded, gesturing with her hand. Tang Hao's body disappeared in a flash of light, reappearing in a pitch-black dimension where he was nailed to a gray crucifix.

Dark gray flames ignited on Tang Hao's body—Netherfire, the unique torment of the prison. It corroded flesh and burned the soul, inflicting pain unimaginable to the living.

"No!"

Screams echoed incessantly from Tang Hao, his cries filled with anguish as he wished for death.

But with Yao Xuan's orders, Keisha ensured he would not escape into death's embrace. Each time he neared the brink, a surge of life energy restored him enough to keep enduring his punishment until the final reckoning.

Outside the Nether Prison, Tang Hao's disappearance left Xiao Wu trembling with fear.

She feared Tang Hao's presence, but more so, she feared her identity as a Soul Beast being exposed.

Would Yao Xuan despise her for it? Would he raise her like livestock, only to harvest her Soul Ring and Soul Bones one day?

Yao Xuan noticed the panic and unease in Xiao Wu's eyes.

"Xiao Wu, don't be afraid. The bad man has been dealt with. Let's go home," Yao Xuan said gently, pulling her into his embrace to comfort her.

"I'm sorry, Yaoxuan. I hid my identity from you. I hope you won't hate me for being a Soul Beast," Xiao Wu murmured, her voice trembling as she buried her head in his chest.

"There's nothing to apologize for. Your identity must remain a secret, or it will draw countless Soul Masters like Tang Hao to hunt you down."

"Also, Xiao Wu, I could never hate you for who you are. You'll always be my dear friend."

"Of course, if you're willing, you can be part of my family—a cherished member of my clan."

Yao Xuan gently stroked Xiao Wu's hair, his voice warm and reassuring.

"Thank you, Yao Xuan! I'd love to be part of your family," Xiao Wu said, her voice choked with emotion, tears glistening in her eyes.

She was touched by his acceptance and protection, vowing to treasure him always.

"Great! From now on, Xiao Wu, you'll be my little sister, just like Susu. If you're willing, you can call me Brother Yao Xuan."

"Brother Yao Xuan!" Xiao Wu called out sweetly, her cheeks tinged with a shy smile.

"Alright, let's head home."

After ensuring Keisha erased all traces of the battle, Yao Xuan led Xiao Wu and Susu back to his domain.

"Brother Yao Xuan, why does someone as powerful as Keisha call you Master?" Xiao Wu couldn't contain her curiosity.

"Because he summoned me and granted me new life," Keisha explained reverently. "I will dedicate my life to serving him. Xiao Wu, you're fortunate to have been chosen to join his family and one day, perhaps, become his wife. Your future will be limitless, even godhood within reach."

"Mm, I understand, Sister Keisha. I will definitely cherish this opportunity!"

Hearing Keisha's words, Xiao Wu nodded firmly, her expression resolute.

Although the idea of becoming someone's wife felt a bit distant, Xiao Wu couldn't deny that staying by Yao Xuan's side gave her a subtle sense of closeness, as if an invisible thread connected them. There was also a profound feeling of safety and warmth that drew her in.

Looking at it this way, becoming Yao Xuan's wife might not be such a bad thing after all!

Thinking of this, the corners of Xiao Wu's lips curved into a faint, delicate smile.

"Alright, Xiao Wu, you've been through a lot. Rest well for now. As for me, I need to prepare for my breakthrough to Great Soul Master!"

Yao Xuan spoke gently, patting Xiao Wu's soft, jade-like forehead once more before turning his attention inward, his determination unwavering.
