Douluo: I'm Invincible

Chapter 33: Chapter 33: Spirit Fusion Skills

Chapter 33: Spirit Fusion Skills

The blazing red light, followed by golden light, lit up from Gu Yue's body, and strong golden-red flames burned around her.

"Elemental combination?" Ye Yingluo looked at the girl on the stage with only one spirit ring in shock. Genius—an absolute genius! Although she didn't know what Gu Yue's spirit or spirit skills were, she could combine light and fire elements. At such a young age, the word genius wasn't nearly enough to describe her excellence.

As soon as the dark sky approached the golden-red flames, it melted away like ice in the sun—unable to get close at all.

Just then, a huge bone dragon claw shot out from the dark sky with lightning, striking straight toward Gu Yue.

Along with the bone dragon claw were six green snakes, mouths wide open, surrounding the claw and bypassing Gu Yue to bite at Tang Wulin and Xie Xie behind her.

Green Shadow Biting! Wei Xiaofeng's second spirit skill.

A blue-gold vine pulled back, sweeping Gu Yue's body to safety. The golden-red light attached itself to all three of them, forming a layer of light shielding that still blocked the incoming darkness.

At the same time, Tang Wulin's Blue Silver Grass spread again across the ground and wrapped toward the enemy. Xie Xie suddenly accelerated—he looked slightly blurred. Light and shadow flickered across his Light Dragon Dagger as he faced the green shadows head-on, preventing the snake heads from approaching.

Tang Wulin pulled Gu Yue behind him again, then charged at the bone dragon claw. His left hammer smashed a snake head, while his right hand turned golden and grabbed at the claw.

The bone dragon claw suddenly withdrew, and a black figure appeared before Tang Wulin. Light and fire collided with the dark aura surrounding it, bursting with a hiss like boiling oil. It dodged Tang Wulin's hand nimbly and punched at his chest.

The shadow moved so suddenly that Tang Wulin was a step slow. In speed and skill, he was far behind Xie Xie. The shadow skillfully avoided the Blue Silver Grass below.

No choice! Tang Wulin's eyes lit up as the Thousand Forged Silver Hammer reappeared in his right hand. Since he couldn't dodge—he would meet it head-on.

The hammer struck directly at the shadow.

"Puff!" The shadow's fist landed lightly on him, and Tang Wulin's hammer passed straight through.

Strangely, the shadow collapsed under the blow, dissolving into black light. A chill rushed into Tang Wulin's body, spreading to his limbs and bones. He trembled.

Not good—I've been hit.

This was Zhang Yangzi's second spirit skill: Shadow Clone. Just then, Tang Wulin's Blue Silver Grass penetrated the black fog. He groaned, suppressing the discomfort and pushing out his spirit power.

Strands of Blue Silver Grass suddenly swept up in the dark curtain of light.

The soft-looking vines suddenly turned tenacious, whipping through the darkness.

Even the returning bone dragon claw was knocked aside by the force.

In that moment, Zhang Yangzi, Wang Jinxi, and Wei Xiaofeng were each hit and staggered back.

No one would have guessed that the weakest-looking Blue Silver Grass, with only a ten-year spirit ring, could explode with such strength. Zhang Yangzi, who had just relaxed after sneak-attacking Tang Wulin, was lashed by a vine—burning pain spread across his body.

Wei Xiaofeng's Green Shadow Biting was disrupted, and even Wang Jinxi, though the strongest physically, was forced to retreat under the blows.

"Wulin, are you okay?" Gu Yue placed a hand on his back, her gentle light-type spirit power flowing into him. Waves of warmth eased his pain.

"I'm fine." Tang Wulin clenched his jaw and forced down the chill.

"You! Go to hell!" Gu Yue suddenly shouted. Nan Fusheng tried to stop her from behind, but failed.

A green light flashed across her body, and her speed soared. Fireballs and ice cones flew from both hands toward the four enemies.

The green light on her intensified. Her eyes grew brighter. After that first round of spells, her hands turned completely ice blue. The shattered ice cones blended into the green light.

The roaring wind made students and teachers alike feel like the typhoon had returned. Ice mingled with the wind. Within ten seconds, a five-meter-high, one-meter-wide column of wind swept toward Zhang Yangzi and the others.

The temperature on the stage dropped sharply. In the storm, shards of ice sliced through the air like blades.

Zhang Yangzi and the others looked grim. Wang Jinxi moved in front to shield them, while the rest released their own spirit power for protection.

Dodge? The entire battlefield was dominated by the storm's airflow, dragging at their bodies. Their speed dropped by half at least. Escape was impossible.

On the stage, Long Hengxu stood frozen. This? Could a one-ring spirit master release a skill like that? Even thousand-year ring skills from three-ring masters couldn't reach this level!

Ice and Snow Storm! A fusion of ice and wind elements.

Among Class 5's four members, the strongest wasn't Xie Xie with his highest spirit power and twin spirits—it was Gu Yue.

Until now, Gu Yue had never shown her full strength in any match. But today, after Tang Wulin was hurt, she finally erupted with one of her strongest attacks.

But after releasing the storm, Gu Yue's face went pale and she trembled. Thankfully, Nan Fusheng caught her just in time.

The ice storm's roaring impact continued. The powerful gusts tore into the four students from Class 1. Flickers of light showed they were still relying on their spirit power to hold on.

After more than ten seconds, the ice storm finally died down. The air temperature had clearly fallen.

Zhang Yangzi and the others emerged slowly. Wang Jinxi, who had stood in front, now had only rags left of his uniform. His skin was covered in cuts, though his face had been protected.

Zhang Yangzi and Wei Xiaofeng fared better but looked pale. Wang Billy, however, had fallen unconscious—an auxiliary spirit master couldn't withstand that kind of attack.

The others had burned through most of their spirit power just to resist.

All the junior students watching had their eyes on Gu Yue in awe. Is this really a first-year student? How strong will she become?

Xie Xie walked forward with his Light Dragon Dagger. "Give up."

It was obvious—Zhang Yangzi and the others had lost over half their spirit power and were wounded.

"We haven't lost yet." Zhang Yangzi's voice was sharp, each word forced through clenched teeth.

Wei Xiaofeng glanced at him, uncertain. "Really, or…"

Zhang Yangzi shot him a fierce look. "We can't lose. Jinxi, let's go!"

Wang Jinxi suddenly straightened, roaring to the sky. Black spirit energy flared around him.

Zhang Yangzi flew behind him, wrapping his arms around Wang Jinxi's waist.

A dragon's roar and an eagle's cry sounded simultaneously. Both boys' bodies turned pitch-black, and then, they began to fuse.

Zhang Yangzi's body turned into black light and merged into Wang Jinxi. His wings became Wang Jinxi's wings.

Wang Jinxi's body swelled. A massive tail stretched from behind him. His left arm transformed into a second bone dragon claw. His aura surged skyward.
