Chapter 49: Chapter 49: Taking Ah Yin
Chapter 49: Taking Ah Yin
Ah Yin's beautiful face instantly flushed red. Her voice turned as faint as a mosquito's buzz. "I-I'm not ready yet… Besides, I haven't even reached my true mature form…"
"No problem. As long as we take protective measures."
Qian Xunji smiled faintly. His Angelic Domain quietly spread out, isolating every living thing in the vicinity.
Ah Yin resisted for a while, but once she realized she couldn't stop his hands, her body grew scalding hot. She let her Blue Silver Domain unfold, bringing forth a mass of blue-gold Blue Silver Grass vines that spread densely in all directions, weaving themselves into a soft layer on the ground.
Beside those vines in the grass lay a long, sky-blue dress and some intimate garments, as well as a platinum robe.
"So a shapeshifted soul beast's body really is just like a human's, nerves and reactions just as sensitive?"
Hearing Qian Xunji's remark, Ah Yin demanded, "What do you mean? Are you suggesting that besides me, you've also—"
She bit her lip, because Qian Xunji squeezed a tender spot with force.
"So far, there hasn't been anyone else. You're the first. But whether there'll be more in the future, I can't say."
Ah Yin pressed her teeth tightly together, refusing to make a sound lest it let him erode her will. She huffed angrily, "Don't even think about it! I absolutely won't agree!"
"Ah Yin, will you ever learn to be a little smarter? I'm the Pope. Sometimes, for the Wuhun Hall's sake, I have no choice but to do certain things. Take Ning Fengzhi of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan as an example. Who knows how many wives and sons he's got? I'm nearly fifteen years older than he, and only now am I taking my first.
Qian Xunji's hands roamed. "But if you give me a son, that will do just fine as well."
Ah Yin was already at rank 60-something, a shapeshifted soul beast with a superb figure.
"Mm…"
Finally, she couldn't help letting out a sound. But she didn't contradict what Qian Xunji said. If it were her son behaving that way someday, she certainly wouldn't meddle. After all, as the Blue Silver Emperor, the more descendants he produced, the more "subjects" she would have.
Night fully descended, the moon glowing in a star-filled sky. One couldn't see a hand in front of one's face, yet Qian Xunji's and Ah Yin's overlapping Angelic and Blue Silver Domains shone like lanterns in the darkness, radiating soft, flickering light.
Only someone whose strength far surpassed Qian Xunji's could have peered through those domains to see what happened inside. And within those domains, the bodies of Qian Xunji and Ah Yin glimmered under the reflected glow.
Qian Xunji glanced down with amusement. Ah Yin followed his gaze, then hurriedly looked away, feeling so mortified she couldn't bring herself to meet his eyes.

Far away in the Clear Sky Clan, late at night after a day of cultivation, Tang Hao abruptly opened his eyes while lying in bed, somehow unable to sleep. He found himself growing more alert by the moment.
"Huh, maybe I've just rested enough. Time to train again!"
He stepped out of his room, stripped to his waist, and went under the waterfall to swing his hammer in the Disorder Splitting Wind technique. The crashing water endlessly poured down over his gray hair, which hung in messy clumps around his forehead.
The Clear Sky Hammer whistled through the air as he brandished it, raging currents spraying up each time he swung before crashing back down. All for Ah Yin's sake, Tang Hao had started treating every day as three. He pushed his training to the brink of exhaustion. Tang Zhen was gratified to see this—Tang Hao's unstoppable zeal for progress reminded him of what Tang Chen had said: that Tang Hao was the clan's greatest heir. Such dedication surely pointed to becoming the next Tang Chen.
Still, Tang Zhen was careful to keep Tang Hao from injuring himself with dark wounds. As a Titled Douluo at 95th rank, Tang Zhen himself had grown weaker and sicker from such hidden injuries over the years, no medicine able to cure him. So the clan's "Broken One" family prepared daily medicinal soaks for Tang Hao, supporting his efforts with full resources.
Practicing day and night, Tang Hao's cultivation advanced faster than it had while traveling. Out there, he'd had to spend part of his focus on Ah Yin. Now he devoted himself entirely to training.

Qian Xunji's Angelic Domain and Ah Yin's Blue Silver Domain lasted until pre-dawn. By that point, Ah Yin was too worn out to continue and collapsed asleep, while Qian Xunji remained brimming with energy—he was every bit as strong and vigorous as before.
After all, the Angelic Martial Soul was near-flawless, nearly matching her life-based regeneration. Qian Xunji was a Titled Douluo, while Ah Yin was just a Soul Emperor. He had also taken the Fiery Apricot and Octagonal Mysterious Ice Grass, then undergone the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well's body tempering. So physically, Ah Yin couldn't keep up.
Though Qian Xunji did somewhat hold back this time, since he needed to use a portion of his Distraction Control to thoroughly "kill certain things" each time and keep them from flourishing. Meanwhile, it was Ah Yin's first experience, so he was obliged to be gentle.
Ah Yin slept an entire day before awakening. It was as if she had truly grown: no longer the silly girl who insisted on traveling across the continent healing people, but one genuinely enjoying the scenery with Qian Xunji. Of course, sporadic battles were inevitable along their journey.
Moreover, after that night, Ah Yin finally comprehended the story behind the Acacia Vermillion. She spat a mouthful of blood and formally earned its acknowledgment.
