In the living hall, Luke, Aina, Rikuya, and Sand stared at the TV, the news reporter detailing the events of the last night.

Things had taken quite a drastic turn away from the truth, it seemed.

There was no mention of the basement under the Jaku General Hospital.

Instead, there was a giant tunnel running through and through the hospital, as if someone had barged into the building from one side and out from the other.

In short, the Jaku General Hospital became just another collateral damage, not the starting point.

Luke instantly realized that Dr. Kyudai must have sealed up the destruction leading to the basement to keep the lab secret.

For the Villain, Luke might as well be a thief who didn't know where he had barged in.

Also, the lab in the basement of the hospital was just too grand and important to be discarded overnight.

In light of this, shaping the hospital as another damaged building by the heinous Villains was the best idea to not only divert suspicions but also garner sympathies.

However, that wasn't all.

The media was actively relating the two Villains' appearances to the Metal Puppets incident.

Both Villains looked like mutated creatures with their brains exposed as the news channels kept slapping their videos on the screen.

Then, they showed the pictures of the Meta Puppets, not as gruesome, but equally sickening.

So, in a twisted series of unfounded conclusions, the orchestrator of the Meta Puppets Incident was also seen as the Villain behind the Jaku Incident, causing chaos and hurting innocents using his brutal puppets.

Luke almost facepalmed, shaking his head.

Aina and Sand's lips twitched, both nodding understandably.

They all knew how weird he was when it came to Nyx, so this was the most normal excuse he could have used to not go with them.

"Don't be late!" Aina shouted from behind.

Sand took another measured look at Luke as he disappeared into his room and shook his head.

In his room, Luke stared at Nyx, who was still with her legs up, her wings stretched on both sides.

Then, from under the bed, he pulled out a box full of files labeled — No. 6!

To Luke's surprise, he had found no cams or other surveillance devices installed in his room when he had arrived here.

It had felt like his father's way of acknowledging that Luke was ready to step out into society, even though the old man hated doing so.

Luke took out one of the folders and read the title that said — Naruhata Vigilantes.

Luke's eyes narrowed.

He opened the folder and found many individual files labeled —

Without reading them, he took out another folder first that said — Queen Bee.

It contained the following files —

Then there was another folder, bigger than the last two — Villain Factory.

— Number 6

Luke noticed there were a few more files, but these three folders seemed to be the core contents of the box, detailing individuals, it seemed.

Taking a deep breath, Luke began going through each file one by one.

Luke couldn't believe it.

He was staring at the beginning of the earliest Nomus by the hands of Dr. Kyudai himself.

Then there were all the people related to the event in the last few years, along with Number 6, who had orchestrated it all under the orders of All For One.

It's not that far into the past, Luke observed. But… how is it related to me? Why was it the most valuable, as per my spirituality?
