Dragon Ball Human

Chapter 137: Chapter 136: Let the Genius Handle it

Perhaps because the boy with the monkey tail sensed that these people meant no harm, or perhaps because he was so hungry that he no longer cared about being scared, he obediently moved closer to the group and began devouring his food with a fervor.

"So cute~" Mrs. Brief's heart melted. "So cute, yet there's a touch of pity. Oh~ it really makes me feel sorry for him."

Jaco corrected her: "Don't be fooled by his cute appearance. He's actually a fierce monster."

"Yuck!" Bulma thought this alien had no manners, so she raised her laser gun and aimed it at Jaco.

Tights and her mother sat on either side of the boy with the monkey tail. One gently patted his back, while the other helped him with food and wiped his mouth. Fortunately, the food brought by Dr. Brief and his wife was plentiful and nutritious, with a variety of dishes. Otherwise, the monkey-tailed boy alone could have devoured everything. Even so, his eating habits stunned Dr. Brief and his wife.

Dr. Brief, intrigued by Jaco's words, asked, "Is this boy with the tail also an alien?"

Jaco nodded. "That's right! He's a bad guy here to destroy your Earth."

"Hmm?" Bulma aimed her gun at Jaco's head, thought for a moment, and decided it would be more fun to aim for his egg-like eyes. "Bad guy!"

Jaco grew irritated. "Why are you doubting me?"

He had long been dissatisfied with these people not believing his elite judgment. Now, being threatened by a little girl with a gun made it even worse.

"He's so cute, and you're so ugly, so of course, you must be the bad guy." Bulma had her reasons.

"I'm ugly?!" Jaco could no longer tolerate Earthlings' sense of aesthetics. He flicked Bulma's toy gun aside. "What are you holding? You think it's going to work on me, an elite?"

"It's a laser gun," Bulma casually indicated her small weapon. "I made it. If you're a bad alien, like the criminals captured by Jiora, that would be bad, so I brought it along." She aimed it at Jaco again, showing her defiance. "You're definitely a bad guy."

"Jiora?" Jaco found the name curious. "I think I've heard of that... Was it planet Boretijon or Burotijon?"

Bulma didn't catch all of Jaco's muttering. Holding her gun, she suggested, "Wanna see me fire it?"

Jaco, with an amused attitude, laughed. "Hahaha, a weapon made by a 5-year-old? I'd love to see that~~"

His sarcastic tone was immediately slapped back in his face.

In the next moment, Bulma aimed at an empty spot and pulled the trigger. Instantly, a dazzling beam of light shot out from the gun's barrel. The light disappeared quickly, but the afterimage of the straight beam lingered in everyone's vision. Not far away, a small section of the hillside exploded and vanished, followed by a massive boom that filled everyone's ears with a rumbling sound.

Dr. Omori's eyes widened in disbelief, and his jaw nearly dropped to the floor as he stared at the destruction caused by Bulma's shot.

Even Yamiru, who had seen such things before, was astonished.

Only the Brief family remained calm, whether from having seen such things before or simply because of their hereditary and contagious nonchalance.

Dr. Brief glanced at the scene and turned to his daughter with interest. "By the way, Tights, is college fun?"

Tights replied, "Dad, I told you before, I graduated from college when I was 16."

"Ha ha, really? I forgot."

"Destroying forests is not good, you know," Mrs. Brief scolded.

"Sorry," Bulma apologized.

"Oh my," Son Gohan muttered, clearly unable to contain his surprise, "That's almost as powerful as the Kamehameha."

Bulma confidently looked at Jaco, asking for his opinion: "What do you think?"

Jaco, serious now, asked, "Have you ever thought about joining the Galactic Patrol?"

Bulma considered for a moment and replied, "I'll think about it."

Yamiru finished his meal, set his bowl down, and watched the situation unfold, thinking, "What a bizarre turn of events... Is it because I've watched too little Dragon Ball, or has Toriyama gone off the rails?" He sighed, "I should've gone and checked out that side story about the Galactic Patrol..."

After breakfast, and once the robot servants had finished cleaning up, the two doctors resumed their discussion about the technology from Jaco's spacecraft.

Dr. Omori and Jaco said they could lend the spacecraft to Dr. Brief for a few days, allowing him to analyze its gravity control technology.

"Gravity control, huh?" Dr. Brief found this strange. "If it's that kind of technology, we already have results."

The doctor searched his body for a while but couldn't find any capsules, so he looked down at his younger daughter.

"Bulma, did you bring the capsule for the Hovercar prototype?"

"I brought one," Bulma replied, pulling a capsule from some mysterious corner of her dress. With a click, she tossed it onto the ground. BOOM! A peculiar-looking car, without any tires and with a sleek, rounded design, emerged.

Yamiru thought the car was very close to the iconic Dragon Ball-style Hovercar, though it was slightly larger than what he remembered.

Dr. Brief approached the car's door, got in, and started it up. The car immediately lifted off the ground, hovering.

Dr. Omori was stunned. "When did the Capsule Corporation develop such advanced technology?"

"Actually, it wasn't completely independently developed," Bulma explained.

Dr. Brief turned to Yamiru. "Yamiru, didn't you tell them?" he asked, referring to the gravity control technology and the Jiora spacecraft.

Yamiru replied, "No. I thought it would be useful for you to come, so I didn't stop Tights from calling you. Of course, I think you needed to come not for Jaco's spaceship, but for..."

He pointed to the boy with the monkey tail, who was well-fed and now fondling Son Gohan's eyebrows and beard. "...his spacecraft. Even if Jaco agrees to let you study his spacecraft, it would only be a temporary loan. But for this one, Doctor, you could take it back to West City right away. Not only the gravity control technology, but you should also be able to crack more advanced propulsion, communication, and navigation technologies."

"...!" Dr. Omori froze and exclaimed, "That's right! Think of all the major breakthroughs that could come from this! It's almost incalculable!"

Jaco interjected, "But if we use this Saiyan's spaceship, won't we lose out on money?"

"True, that's a problem," Dr. Omori replied, realizing the issue. "Fixing Jaco's spaceship would require a significant amount of materials..."

Tights added, "That's right. I spent all my savings just to get a little bit of Sky Gold, enough only for Earth flight."

"Sky Gold?" Dr. Brief asked.

Tights explained, "It's the energy source. This spacecraft runs on Sky Gold."

"Ah, I see," Dr. Brief nodded. "So it's similar to the Jiora spacecraft, but their energy source is Gold, and here you're using the rarer Sky Gold."

"Wait a minute!" Jaco suddenly interrupted. "I've been wanting to ask about that since Bulma mentioned it."

Dr. Brief asked, "What's the question?"

"You're talking about Jiora, right? The Jiora from Biretijon?"
