Dragon Ball Human

Chapter 90: Chapter 90: Escape 2

"Kid, we meet again. Didn't expect that, huh? Heh heh..."

Blue sneered.

Yamiru, wearing his oxygen mask, showed no visible change in expression.

Blue continued to sneer, "Seeing me, you must have figured it out. That's right! The reason you were captured by us is because I provided the intel to Dr. Gero."

With the posture of a victor, he added, "You probably don't know, but after I joined the Red Ribbon Army, I immediately became an officer! And the job I was assigned to was..."

He dragged his words out but realized that Yamiru still had the same lifeless look, unreactive in the nutrient solution.

To be in such a dire situation and remain so calm? Blue felt a surge of anger, shouting, "It was fated that you would fall into my hands! Heh heh, the project I took over was the one involving the Rabbit Army's deal. As soon as you destroyed the Rabbit Army, you were already noticed by us! You don't know how happy I was when I found out! Last time, I had to slink away like a coward, that was so humiliating!"

Blue had a natural vanity, a narcissistic streak, and even a mild obsession with cleanliness. The way he had been driven off by Bulma previously had left him feeling utterly humiliated, as if his dignity had been torn to shreds.

"You probably don't know how much I hate you..."

Blue ground his teeth in anger.

But after speaking for a while, Yamiru in the cultivation pod remained completely still. Blue glanced at the display screen outside the pod, noticing that the oxygen supply data showed no fluctuations—meaning Yamiru's breathing hadn't become more rapid at all. He seemed completely calm, as if unaffected by the words Blue was saying.

:Could it be that this guy was so devastated that he's completely lost his mind? Blue thought to himself. Damn it, if he doesn't even get angry, does that mean all my scheming against him is meaningless? It's like punching air. Damn it, my pride is taking a hit again!"

At that moment, a researcher walked past Blue and whispered something in his ear.

Blue nodded, then turned with a wicked smile, pointing at Yamiru. He walked away, his head held high.

Only then did Yamiru's eyes shift, glowing with golden light.

"You probably don't know how much I hate you…" Yamiru thought to himself. "But I'll forget this hatred. After these days of quiet reflection, I've realized that these negative emotions only pollute my soul. Since I've decided to become a better person, I don't need to dwell on these filthy emotions that are even worse than vomit. If my Golden Veil are truly a reflection of my soul's power... Blue, don't worry, there's something i will never forget: I will kill you. This little thing i will never forget."

Yamiru realized that his soul had truly been elevated.

Only when true hardships descend do people discover their true qualities. Just like some people can boldly talk about courage and integrity before facing a sword, or speak confidently about how others behave, yet they lack the courage to even speak to a fierce person, let alone kill someone. Yamiru was the same; before encountering great setbacks, he always thought of himself as just an ordinary guy. But after experiencing this trial, he unlocked qualities he hadn't anticipated in himself. He didn't despair, he didn't give up, and he didn't keep complaining or regretting what he should have done differently. He suddenly understood why that mysterious elder, though able to push him across the sea with a single slap, didn't just send him to Paozu Mountain directly.

"Disasters may follow one after another, but those who stand firm are the true strong ones! The ones who can face and conquer them are the true warriors."

Through his "gaze", Yamiru noticed a white shadow lingering behind Blue as he left.

Unlike the aura of most people Yamiru had observed before, Blue's aura showed a white figure that was more than twice as intense! Just looking at it made it clear that Blue's combat power was on a completely different level from most soldiers in the Red Ribbon Army. It even surpassed Delat Yamiru! Blue's combat power had clearly surpassed that of most humans on Earth, including highly trained soldiers and martial artists.

"If I hadn't run into Bulma back in South City… I would have been in real danger that time…"

Yamiru thought to himself.

Soon, a researcher pressed a button on the cultivation pod, and with a swish, the nutrient liquid level began to slowly lower.

With a hiss, the pod's pressure decreased, causing the tubes inserted into Yamiru's naked body to fall off, leaving many tiny puncture marks. Finally, the oxygen mask slipped off with a puff, and Yamiru, feeling completely weak, stumbled. His face hit the front of the cultivation pod. He didn't want to appear weak in front of the Red Ribbon Army personnel, so he struggled to hold onto his breath, propping himself up weakly on the glass dome, his legs trembling violently as he slowly stood up.

His eyes gleamed gold, scanning the area. Behind the researchers, two white figures stood holding guns. Based on the intensity of their aura, they seemed to be the lowest-ranking soldiers in the Red Ribbon Army. However, holding guns meant that their energy alone couldn't be used to judge their strength—Yamiru still couldn't disregard the threat of bullets. Unlike Goku, who was impervious to bullets, Yamiru wasn't that tough.

"The effects of the suppressant wore off that quickly? Hmm, note that down."

The researcher outside the pod was surprised by Yamiru's recovery speed and quickly jotted it down.

The pod door opened, and the researcher gestured to the two gun-wielding soldiers. They came over, grabbed Yamiru, draped a thin blanket over him, and dragged him out.

As he was dragged away, Yamiru could feel his strength slowly returning.

Before leaving the lab where he had been held for so many days, Yamiru glanced toward the spot where the half-seed of the Senzu Bean was located.

From the previous angle, even during the day, Yamiru couldn't see anything. He could only use his Golden Veil gaze to detect the faint light of the energy. However, this time, he indeed saw that the experiment table in that direction was neatly arranged with various objects. Among them was the knife Jiora had sent him, now in its drawn blade form. It appeared that Gero and the others had already experimented with it.

There was also a glass dish, containing the half-seed of the Senzu Bean, which Yamiru had carefully saved through frugality.

Seeing the half-seed of the Senzu Bean so openly placed there made it clear that Gero and his team hadn't figured out the essence of this miraculous medicine yet—or maybe they just hadn't had the time to study it properly. Yamiru silently thought of an escape plan.

Soon, he was taken to a small room, where two soldiers holding guns ordered him to sit and wait for the doctor's instructions.

Yamiru complied and sat down.

At this point, the effects of the muscle suppressant were mostly worn off, and his strength had mostly returned.

He wrapped himself in the blanket and glanced around.

The room was unnervingly clean, with only a small sofa in the center. There was nothing else. There were no windows, except for the door they had entered through, and a small door on the opposite wall, tightly shut.

Yamiru sat slowly, scanning the room.

In the corners of the ceiling, there were four surveillance cameras.

His golden eyes focused on the screens in another room, where Dr. Gero was watching.

Dr. Gero tapped his fingers on the table, pondering aloud, "He should have almost recovered his strength, yet he's holding back, not showing any anger... He immediately noticed the cameras in the room... Heh, seems like an extraordinary kid... Blue, go ahead. I want to see how his eyes, which you say can resist your super abilities, actually work."

Behind him, Blue snapped to attention and saluted, "Yes, sir!"

In the room where Yamiru was being held, the Red Ribbon soldiers, upon hearing the instructions in their earpieces, struck Yamiru's shoulder with the gun barrel and shouted, "Move! That door!"
