Dragon Ball Rykon (The 2nd Brother of Son Goku!)

Chapter 12: Chapter 11: The Legendary Super Saiyans

The air hung heavy with tension as Goku tore off the mask that had hidden his face. With a burst of raw power, a gaping hole ripped through the steel walls of the machine holding him captive. He stepped out, rubbing his eyes, only to realize he was completely naked. A sheepish laugh escaped his lips.

Of all times to lose my clothes... But then, there it was—the spare orange gi he had left for Rykon, folded carelessly on the floor. Slipping it on, Goku gave a confident grin. No more delays. It was time to join the fight.

He blasted a hole through the ship's hull and rocketed toward the chaotic battlefield below.

My power… it's overflowing. I can feel it bubbling inside me—almost too much to control. The wind whipped past his face as he surged forward, eyes locked on the battlefield. Hang on, everyone. I'm coming.

Below, the scene was grim. Vegeta, battered and broken, was flung by Frieza's brutal kick onto a jagged cliffside, his body hitting the ground with a sickening thud. Frieza crouched beside him, cold amusement in his eyes.

"My, my," Frieza taunted, holding a jagged rock and grinding it mercilessly over the wound Krillin had inflicted on Vegeta's chest. "A fallen prince… how pitiful."

Vegeta's agonized scream pierced the air, barely a whisper of the proud warrior he once was. His eyes fluttered, struggling to stay open.

Krillin's voice cut through the tension, laced with urgency and anger. "Enough! Rykon, you have to help him now!"

Piccolo's stern gaze met Rykon's, unwavering. "I know you hate Vegeta. Most of us do. But right now, we need all the strength we can get. Frieza's power is unlike anything we've faced. Save him."

Rykon hesitated, heart pounding in his chest. This isn't about liking him—it's about survival.

Frieza gripped Vegeta's collar, lifting him like a ragdoll, then looked down at the three who dared defy him — Gohan, Krillin, and Piccolo — their faces pale with fear.

"Don't worry," Frieza said with cruel delight, "everyone gets a turn."

A sudden gust swept across the clearing, stirring dust and leaves into a wild frenzy. All eyes turned to the figure descending from the sky.

"It's me," came the calm voice. "Really, it's me."

Goku landed amidst them, his presence alone radiating a new hope.

Rykon's eyes widened. "Kakarot, is that really you? Your energy— it's insane!"

Goku chuckled softly, brushing off the praise. "Heh, maybe I'm almost as strong as you now."

Frieza's sneer twisted into disgust. "Oh, wonderful. Now there are two of you. And why does he look like that monkey brat Bardock?"

Gohan ran forward, his youthful voice bright. "Welcome back, Dad! We missed you!"

Goku smiled warmly, ruffling Gohan's hair. "I'm proud of all of you. You've grown stronger, inside and out. Especially you, Gohan."

Krillin nodded, relief washing over him. "Glad you're back, Goku."

"Leave the rest to me," Goku declared, his eyes sharp and determined.

Rykon sighed, rubbing his temples. "I'm getting tired of being just a spectator."

"If I lose," Goku added with a grin, "you're up next. Deal?"

Rykon nodded reluctantly. "Deal."

Gohan's bright voice cut through the tension. "I believe in you, Dad!"

Krillin pumped his fist. "You're the man, Goku!"

But beneath the surface, Piccolo's mind churned with cautious doubt. Either he's making a terrible mistake or he's stronger than I last saw him on Earth.

Slowly, Goku approached Frieza, every step a clash of calm and storm.

"You must be Frieza," Goku said, voice steady. "The one responsible for all this chaos."

Vegeta, weak but stubborn, gasped, "Kakarot…"

Frieza smirked, eyes cold and merciless. "Ah, Kakarot. Bardock screamed your name and Rykon's before I ended him. You two are brothers, torn apart like all monkeys tend to be."

Vegeta's voice cracked as he warned them, "You're soft. You can't show mercy. This is a game to him. Play to win. Forget your feelings, or you'll be dead."

But Goku shook his head, unwavering. "My feelings guide me. Everyone deserves a second chance… just like you had."

Rykon's voice was quieter but firm. "Frieza's different this time. Maybe we should listen."

Vegeta's fury flared. "You don't understand. He destroyed our home. Our families… He killed my father despite my obedience. He feared the rise of a Super Saiyan— feared us."

Frieza laughed coldly. "Touching story, really." His gaze bored into Vegeta. "But you're just a corpse, and a noisy one at that."

Tears streamed down Vegeta's face, a broken man before the tyrant.

"Please," Vegeta whispered, voice trembling. "Stop him… whatever it takes."

Frieza raised a finger, aiming a lethal beam.

Before it could strike, a shield of crackling ki erupted as Rykon leapt in front, deflecting the attack into a nearby cliff.

Goku's eyes widened. "Good reflex, Rykon!"

Rykon's voice was soft but resolute. "You may have been a fool once, Vegeta. But I won't let Frieza take you."

Vegeta coughed, confusion mixing with gratitude. "Why… save me?"

"Save your energy," Rykon urged. "Kakarot, fight Frieza. I'll tend to Vegeta."

With that, he scooped up the wounded prince and flew to join Piccolo and the others.

Frieza's voice sliced through the air like a knife. "Let's get this over with."

The battle was a storm of fists and fury. Goku's punches met Frieza's impenetrable defenses. From afar, the others watched, breaths held tight.

"Gohan, Krillin!" Rykon called. "Hold Vegeta steady!"

They grasped the injured Saiyan as Rykon tore a sleeve from Vegeta's armor, twisting it into a crude bandage to staunch the bleeding.

Vegeta's cry of pain was sharp but fading. "Temporary… pain," Rykon murmured. "It'll stop the blood loss."

Krillin blinked, incredulous. "You hate him, yet you save him?"

Rykon grunted. "I don't hate a dying man."

Piccolo nodded. "Right choice. Now let me watch this fight."

Vegeta, weak but defiant, caught Rykon's eye. "Thank you…"

Rykon smiled faintly before taking flight toward the raging clash.

Hours passed, and hope wavered.

Goku rose, shoulder aching but unyielding. "How is this Saiyan still alive?"

Frieza sneered. "This universe's future depends on him?"

With a cry, Goku unleashed the Kaio-Ken, energy flaring wildly.

Frieza snarled, "Kaio-what?"

"I don't care how strong you are. I won't let them down!"

Goku's strikes rocked Frieza, culminating in a titanic Kamehameha. Frieza countered instantly, explosions shaking the earth.

Rykon's shout rang out. "Kakarot! Why aren't you using the technique we trained? Kaio-Ken x20?!"

Goku's breath hitched. "I… I was."

The Z Fighters exchanged worried glances. If that's true, we're doomed.

Frieza charged, closing in with cruel intent. Goku's mind raced, drained and desperate.

A whisper echoed in his mind — Rykon's voice.

"Kakarot, can you hear me?"

"I hear you," Goku answered.

"I have one last move left — the Spirit Bomb."

"Why tell me?"

"Because, friend, it's your turn to fight. Hold him off while I gather energy."

A fierce resolve ignited in Rykon's heart.

"Gohan, Krillin, look after Vegeta," Rykon ordered. "Piccolo, come with me."

"Right," Piccolo replied.

Together, they soared toward the battle.

Goku raised his hands to the sky. Water surged from the nearby river, swirling and gathering energy.

This planet won't give me enough power… but if I focus, maybe I can draw from the stars above.

Frieza scoffed, watching the spectacle with disdain.

Minutes passed. The Spirit Bomb swelled, a glowing orb of hope against the dark.

Suddenly, Frieza fired a beam at Goku — only for it to be deflected by Rykon, stepping in like a shield.

Frieza's sneer deepened. "So you're here. I was growing bored of your monkey brother."

Rykon inhaled deeply, savoring the clean air of Namek — an odd moment of peace amid chaos.

Frieza lunged, claws and tail striking, but Rykon matched each move, landing brutal counters.

The clash was a furious storm — fists, kicks, and raw power exploding with every hit.

Nearby, Piccolo watched Goku channel the Spirit Bomb. "He's buying you time. You're lucky to have such a strong brother."

Goku nodded, breath ragged. "I owe him everything."

But as the Spirit Bomb grew, Frieza's eyes widened in terror.

"What… is that?" he hissed, gazing skyward. "Not the sun…"

Frieza's gaze sharpened as realization dawned.

"That Saiyan… charging a ball of energy! Rykon was only the distraction!"

"Focus on me!" Rykon roared.

Frieza's rage exploded. "You miserable maggot! You planned this from the start?! I'll kill you!"

He shot toward Goku in a blur.

Piccolo's voice was sharp. "Frieza's on to your attack."

Goku gritted his teeth. "It's ready."

The orb blazed with radiant light.

"HA—" Goku's roar shattered the air as the Spirit Bomb descended.

Frieza screamed, "Nooo! This can't be!"

After the blinding explosion, silence fell. On a small island, the warriors gathered, exhausted but alive.

Piccolo's voice broke the stillness. "It's finally over."

Krillin threw his arms up in triumph. "We can go home!"

Gohan's smile was pure joy as he helped lay down the battered Vegeta. "Dad, I can't believe you did it!"

Goku smiled humbly. "Couldn't have done it without Rykon. Thanks, seriously."

Rykon shrugged, a rare softness in his eyes. "Of course."

Vegeta stirred, eyes snapping open. "No way… you actually defeated Frieza? Hahaha! The fool deserved death."

Rykon glanced at Vegeta. "You're looking better."

Vegeta scoffed, pride returning. "A Saiyan like me never dies so easily. Frieza got what was coming."

Suddenly, a chilling voice cut through the air.

"Say that to my face."

Everyone froze.

Frieza stood there, unbowed, ready for more.

Vegeta's breath hitched. "Frieza?!"

Without hesitation, Frieza fired a deadly beam. Piccolo leapt in front, taking the blast full force before collapsing.

"No!" Rykon shouted, horror twisting his voice.

Gohan fell to his knees beside Piccolo. "Mr. Piccolo… no, not again…"

Krillin's voice trembled. "Piccolo?"

Goku's eyes burned with fury. "Frieza…"

Frieza sneered. "Your Spirit Bomb was strong. Took the wind right out of me."

Goku turned to his friends. "Gohan, Krillin — take Piccolo to the ship. Find Bulma. Get away from here. Rykon, you can leave if you want…"

Rykon's voice was fierce. "Not a chance. Not until this monster is finished."

Goku nodded. "Fine. Then what are you waiting for?"

Krillin and Gohan hesitated.

Frieza smirked cruelly. "You really think your friends can escape? You won't dodge death again, bald man."

With a flick, a small ki ball pierced Krillin's chest. He floated, powerless.

"Krillin!" Gohan and Rykon screamed.

Goku roared, "No!!!"

Frieza laughed darkly as Krillin exploded.

"Pop goes the weasel," Frieza mocked.

The island trembled as Goku's anger surged, a golden lightning storm crackling with overwhelming energy.

His hair stood on end, glowing with fierce golden light—the legendary Super Saiyan transformation.

Instead of fear, a burning rage flooded Rykon's heart. Frieza… your time is over.

Frieza staggered back, eyes wide in disbelief. "Saiyans… transforming into blondes? Impossible!"

Vegeta's voice rang out, fierce and wild. "So the legends were true! I can't believe it!"

It should have been me! Vegeta's mind screamed, jealousy and fury fueling his words.

"Prepare yourself, Frieza! You face not one, but two Super Saiyans!"

Goku's voice was resolute. "Gohan, take Piccolo and Bulma. Leave this planet now. If Piccolo dies, everything was for nothing."

Rykon echoed, "Gohan, listen to your father."

Gohan's eyes brimmed with tears. "What happened to you guys?"

"This is the last time I'll say it — GET OUT!" Goku commanded.

Gohan nodded, turning away with a heavy heart.

The three warriors — Goku, Rykon, and Frieza — locked eyes, ready for the battle that would decide their fate.
