Dragon Ball Super: Exposed! I'm a super saiyan

Chapter 57: CHAPTER 57

c57: Searching! The Seventh Super Dragon Ball

Everyone couldn't help but burst into laughter at the sight of the man who had just used the Tenfold Kaio-Ken while in Super Saiyan Blue now completely subdued by a single woman his wife.

Piccolo watched silently, the corner of his mouth twitching involuntarily. He took a quiet step back, as if trying to escape the blast radius of Chi-Chi's fury. Best to stay uninvolved.

"Hmph! Kakarot, so even you have days like this!" Vegeta sneered, crossing his arms with smug satisfaction. Then he turned his head toward Luya and added with a proud tilt of his chin, "Hey! Come to my place instead. My son, Trunks, is far more talented than Goten. I'll allow you to be his master."

Luya raised an eyebrow at the unexpected invitation and appeared to fall into deep thought.

The reason he originally made his request to Goku wasn't just out of goodwill. What he truly sought was the pure-hearted Saiyan energy that only children like Goten and Trunks could provide energy that could help him summon the divine ki necessary to initiate the Super Saiyan God ritual. If he could gather five righteous Saiyan auras, he would awaken a divine transformation and increase his compatibility with higher god-level energy.

Vegeta's tone may have been arrogant, but Luya didn't mind. As long as he could achieve his goal and absorb the correct form of ki, it didn't matter who the source was.

With that in mind, Luya nodded slowly, agreeing to consider Vegeta's offer.

Just then, Bulma marched over with her hands on her hips and a look of dissatisfaction on her face. "Hey, Vegeta! Trunks is my son too, you know. Shouldn't you ask my opinion before deciding his future?"

Vegeta's brow twitched. "Tch… What opinion?"

Bulma crossed her arms confidently. "I've already planned for Trunks to inherit Capsule Corp.! With my father retiring from R&D, the next generation needs to be ready. I want Trunks to take over!"

Vegeta nearly stumbled. "What?! Don't joke with me, Bulma! That's ridiculous! You're talking about burying the pride of a pure-blooded Saiyan behind a desk?!"

Chi-Chi suddenly chimed in with a proud smirk. "Oh please! My Gohan didn't focus on martial arts, and look at him now he's a brilliant scholar!"

Both Goku and Vegeta were stunned into silence. These women... were impossible.

"Hah! Looks like even divine-tier warriors still have a weak spot," Beerus muttered from the side with a sly smile, clearly enjoying the domestic drama.

Whis added with his signature smile, "Ho ho ho… Not to mention, Luya did land a blow on Lord Beerus during the Universe 6 Tournament, didn't he?"

"Whis!!" Beerus snapped, flustered. "Don't go reminding people of that disgraceful moment!!"

Whis daintily covered his mouth and giggled, unfazed by Beerus's outburst.

Meanwhile, Vegeta barked, "No! I absolutely refuse to let Trunks waste his talent as some corporate lapdog! The boy is a Saiyan! He should be training, not calculating taxes!"

Bulma coolly replied, "And what's wrong with being more than just a fighter? The earth's already protected by you and Goku, isn't it? Let Trunks live a normal life."

Vegeta snorted. "Tch! Protecting Earth is Kakarot's responsibility. Not mine."

Goku perked up. "Whoa, hold on! I never said I was interested in that. I just want to fight strong guys and keep getting stronger! That's all! Let Krillin protect the Earth!"

Krillin: "...Excuse me?!"

His eye twitched violently. Seriously? They expect me to protect the whole Earth? Alone?

Vegeta grunted and turned back toward Bulma. "Anyway, whether you like it or not, I'm going to train Trunks myself. If you get in my way, don't blame me for being unpleasant about it!"

Bulma shot back smugly, "Oh really? And how exactly do you plan to stop me? I've outsmarted you plenty of times before."

The tension in the air spiked comically.

"Well, if that's the case, there's nothing we can do for the time being. Sorry, Luya," Goku said, turning to him with a regretful look.

Luya shook his head gently. "It's okay."

But in his heart, he sighed. As expected, these two proud Saiyans Goku and Vegeta still had hurdles when it came to letting their sons train under someone else, even if it benefited them in the long run.

Suddenly, Beerus cut in impatiently: "Hey! Are you guys done yet? Get back to the important stuff!"

Everyone turned their attention toward the God of Destruction.

Beerus folded his arms and spoke seriously: "We've already obtained six Super Dragon Balls from Universe 6. There's only one left. Once we have all seven, we can summon the Super Shenron and make any wish, no matter how grand."

Upon hearing this, everyone's expressions shifted to excitement. They instinctively looked up at the Super Dragon Balls floating in orbit gigantic, golden orbs, each the size of a small planet. Despite having seen them before, their sheer magnificence never got old.

"Then... where's the seventh Super Dragon Ball?" Goku asked curiously.

Beerus paused for a moment, then turned to Bulma. "Hey, Bulma. Pull out the Dragon Radar."

Bulma blinked, then quickly replied, "Oh, right!"

She took a capsule from her pocket and pressed the top. With a pop, a larger-than-normal interstellar Dragon Radar emerged specially modified to detect Super Dragon Balls scattered across universes.

As the radar powered on, everyone gathered around to look.

"Let's see…" Bulma muttered as she activated the scanner.

Beep... beep... beep... The radar pulsed as its scanning radius expanded outward.

Suddenly, Bulma gasped. "Wait, what?! That can't be right!"

"Huh? What's going on?" Beerus leaned in.

Bulma's face turned uncertain. "Uhh... maybe it's broken? The radar's showing all seven Dragon Balls nearby, but we only have six!"

"What? Don't mess with me! Let me see!" Beerus snapped, snatching the radar from her hands.

But when he stared at the screen, he blinked in disbelief. "What the...? Why is it showing seven signals? That doesn't make sense!"

"Lord Beerus, is something wrong?" Whis floated over casually and peered at the display.

Beerus jabbed his finger at the radar. "Look! The radar clearly shows seven Super Dragon Balls but we only have six in orbit! How is this possible?"

Whis frowned slightly. "Hmm… That is strange."

Everyone looked at each other in confusion. Even Piccolo narrowed his eyes.

Luya, who had been silent, quietly glanced at Monaka, then lowered his gaze toward the surface of the asteroid they were all standing on. A subtle smile curled at the edge of his lips.

"Yeah, what could explain that?" Whis muttered thoughtfully, his gaze shifting between the radar and the surrounding cosmos.

Monaka, who had been hovering in the background, timidly stepped forward and tugged on Whis's robe.

"Hmm?" Whis turned around. "Yes, Monaka?"

Monaka hesitated, then pointed at the radar and said, "I look at galaxy maps a lot. Maybe… you're looking at it from the wrong perspective?"

Whis raised a brow. "What do you mean?"

Monaka raised both arms above his head and gestured, "The radar only gives us a flat readout. But space isn't flat, it's three-dimensional."

Whis paused for a moment, then suddenly his eyes sparkled. "Ah… Of course! That explains it!"

"What?! What did you figure out?" Beerus barked.

Everyone leaned in closer with curiosity.

Whis smirked and answered: "The seventh Super Dragon Ball… is this asteroid we're standing on right now."

"WHAAAAT?!" the group exclaimed in perfect unison.

Their eyes all widened, and instinctively, they looked down beneath their feet.

"That's right," Whis explained calmly. "The radar is showing seven Dragon Balls because it is. This is a 3D spatial map, and one of the readings is coming from directly beneath us."

Luya finally chimed in with a chuckle: "Exactly. The ball was hidden in plain sight. Its exterior was camouflaged to resemble a natural asteroid."

"How sneaky!" Krillin muttered.

"Then what do we do now?" asked Tien, still glancing at the rocky surface beneath them.

"Simple," Whis replied. "Everyone, board the cube."

At his signal, the transparent transportation cube that Vados and Whis use in inter-universal travel materialized nearby.

Its golden sheen shimmered in the starlight as it floated gently toward them.

"Let's move!" Whis called with a smile, and everyone followed, eyes still wide from the revelation.
