Chapter 4: Please Take me as your discipline
"Goten, do you want me to fix your clothes up?" Bulma asked Goten who was feasting on the T-bone stakes and other delicacies alongside Trunks.
"Yes. Please." Goten replied after he finished chewing the food that he had in his mouth.
"Mom. Do you know Goten is really strong? He is almost as strong as me despite being younger." Trunks said.
"Really. It seems you took after your father." Bulma said to Goten while smiling.
"Hehehe." Goten smiled when he heard those words.
He did that just to be polite despite not feeling a thing when Bulma mentions Goku.
He knew who Goku was and respected Goku.
But as a son, he didn't know about him much as Goku was already dead when he was born.
"Trunks. Is what you say true?" A voice was heard.
Trunks and Goten looked behind them to see a short macular man with black spiky hair who was wearing a blue shirt, pants and white boots.
"Vegeta." A name slipped out of Goten's mouth accidentally.
"Bulma was right. You looked just like Kakarrot." Vegeta said as he looked at Goten.
"Dad." Trunks said in joy.
"Trunks. Is it true that Kakarrot's son can match you in your little spar?" Vegeta asked.
"But I won in the end." Trunks said to Vegeta.
It looked like Trunks was trying to not disappoint Vegeta.
"That's it. You are joining me in my training." Vegeta said to Trunks.
"Vegeta. Trunks is only three." Bulma said to Vegeta.
"It doesn't matter if he is three. When I was young we were sent to other Planets to conqueror if we were deemed not powerful enough." Vegeta said to Bulma.
"I can't believe you. Not only did you not help me with anything but you also wanted to train our three-year-old son just because he was getting beat up by a two-year-old." Bulma complained to Vegeta.
"But I didn't get beat up. I won." Trunks said.
Vegeta. The rival of Son Goku and the third strongest Saiyan by the time Broly movie aired. Goten thought in his mind as he looked at Vegeta.
Wait. Didn't he become an evil dude when the Buu saga started because of his desire to fight Goku at his strongest?
I have to prevent that. If he did that Trunks and Bulma would be sad. And I know that it also would be something that he is going to regret.
Goten knew the mistake that Vegeta was going to make a few years later and wanted to prevent that.
He does not want to see the signs of a broken household even if he knows everything will be fine in the end.
But how? I cannot change the time when the wizard guy and demon guy show up. I have to think of a way to prevent Vegeta from becoming evil.
Ah, I got it. An idea popped into Goten's mind.
"I failed to defeat Kakarrot before he died. I am not going to let my son experience the same thing." Vegeta said to Bulma.
"Sorry about that Goten. My dad started to act weird whenever your father or brother's name was mentioned." Trunks said to Goten.
Goten ignored Trunks and walked towards Vegeta who was having a heated argument with Bulma.
"Uncle, you are called Vegeta, right?" Goten called out to Vegeta.
"What do you want Kakarot's son?" Vegeta asked Goten.
"Vegeta. Be more nice to him. He is still only two years old." Bulma said to Vegeta.
"I heard that you are the strongest Saiyan on the planet," Goten said.
"Even stronger than my dad and my brother." He continued.
"!" Vegeta and Bulma were shocked when they heard Goten's words.
"What are you talking about Gohan is much stronger..." Bulma wanted to say something but she stopped when she remembered that Vegeta is a prideful person.
"So can you train me and Trunks? We want to become stronger. Enough to the point where both of us can surpass my brother Gohan and proudly claim ourselves as Saiyans. I will show him why he should not ignore me in the future." Goten said.
Of course, what he said was mostly lies and he did not believe anything that he was saying but he was willing to say anything to make Vegeta at ease when he was with him.
He wanted to train alone alongside Vegeta and try to encourage him and feed into his pride and ego so that he would never dream of letting himself fall into the darkness.
He knew that what was doing could affect the future but he did not care.
He has traumas that he suffered from his previous life that he does not want anyone, not even his most hated enemies to go through.
Let alone someone like Trunks who is very nice to him.
"Son Goten is it?" Vegeta said while smiling.
"Fine, I will train you so that you will be able to surpass your brother," Vegeta said.
----------------------------
A few hours later.
"Goten. Why did you say those words to father?" Trunks asked Goten as the two flew back to Goten's house.
"Did Gohan really ignore you?" Trunks asked.
"No. My brothers always tried to make time for me after his studies." Goten replied.
"Then why did you say those words to Father."
"Trunks. Most of the things I said to your father are lies. But there are still some truths in them." Goten said.
"I wanted to surpass my brother. And your father might be the only one who can help me with that." He continued.
He does not tell Trunks, the real reasons
Which is about wanting to prevent Vegeta from becoming evil. But he was not entirely lying either as he really wanted to surpass Gohan.
"Gohan. But isn't he really strong? I heard from my mother that he is even stronger than both of our Dads." Trunks said to Goten.
"She is right. But Gohan stopped training during these days." Goten said.
"Sooner or later both of our Dads will surpass him again," Goten said.
Well, at least until he got his ultimate form. Goten thought in his mind but didn't say aloud.
"Both? But Isn't your dad dead?" Trunks asked.
"He is but he is training in the afterlife," Goten answered.
"By the way Trunks. Can I borrow the Daragon radar?" Goten asked.
"What?" Trunks were confused by Goten's question.
At that time Trunks didn't know about the existence of the dragon balls.
Let alone the item that could track the dragon balls around the world.
