Dragon Ball The Next

"That should do it," Bulma said as she wiped the sweat on her forehead.

She just finished setting up the time machine and now it can finally operate.

"Thanks, Mom." Future Trunks said as he thanked his mother.

"You don't want us to come with you?" Marron asked Future Trunks.

"With Goku and Vegeta going back with me I am sure that we would be able to defeat Black." Future Trunks replied.

"Take care," Gohan said to Future Trunks as he waved him goodbye.

"Trunks. Before you leave come here for a bit." Bulma said as Future Trunks went near her.

"Here," she said as she handed Future Trunks something.

"Mom, What is this?" he asked.

"This is the ex-armbands. It's for Goku and your father. I would just hand them over to them myself if I could. But they would reject it if I did that. So you can give it to them if you think that they need it." Bulma said to Future Trunks.

He accepted them when he heard Bulma's words.

Goku, Vegeta and Future Trunks climbed into the time machine after saying goodbye.

I don't know why but I have a bad feeling about this. Goten thought as he looked at Future Trunk's time machine.

He wanted to go with them but there were a few problems.

One, Future Trunks asked Goku and Vegeta specifically to come with him.

Two, both Goku and Vegeta are very eager to go which prevents him from volunteering himself.

Three, the time machine is very small and Goku and Vegeta are already taking up a lot of space to the point that Future Trunks have to squeeze into it just to fit all of them.

And lastly, the strength that Black displayed didn't seem like something that Goku and Vegeta would not be able to handle.

"I swear this thing will only bring trouble," Beerus said as he looked at the time machine.

"Bulma. Can you please promise me this will be the last time you do something like this?" Whis asked Bulma.

"Haha." Bulma just laughed without answering.

The machine started to float before disappearing.

"Boy," Beerus called out to Goten after the time machine disappeared.

"I am going to look for the bastard that is responsible for causing this mess. Do you want to come?" He asked.

Goten nodded.

The time machine appeared in the future timeline as Goku and Vegeta got out of it.

"This place is kind of creepy," Goku said as he looked at the green sky.

All the buildings in this Future that they saw are destroyed and don't resemble the city that they were just in.

But they knew that it was still the West City just by looking at the remains of the capsule cooperation which was mostly destroyed.

"What? Scared Kakarrot." Vegeta said to Goku.

"Dad. Goku. Be careful. Black could be anywhere." Future Trunks said to the two.

"Trunks."

They then heard a voice.

"Mai?" Future Trunks said as he looked in the direction of where the voice came from.

It was Future Mai and two men who were carrying guns.

Future Trunks thought that she was killed by Black so he was very happy that she survived.

She ran into his arms as Goku and Vegeta stared awkwardly at them.

But before they could tell about how much they missed each other Future Mai's expression stiffened.

As she saw Goku who was standing near Future Trunks.

The two people that were with her aimed their guns at Goku.

"Wait. Stop." Future Trunks said as he got in the way of the guns that were aimed at Goku.

"Don't shoot. This man is not Black." He continued.

"Don't worry about that. With his strength bullets will just fall to the ground as soon as they hit his body." Vegeta said while smiling.

"Hey. They still hurt you know. And they also give you red bruises." Goku replied.

"So that must be Vegeta." Future Mai said to Future Trunks.

She was familiar with Goku since she had known him since he was a child. She could immediately tell who he was just by taking a glance at him.

But Mai in this timeline has never seen Vegeta before this as he died early in this timeline.

"We should not stay here for long. Come with me. I will tell you about what is happening around here after you are gone." Future Mai said to Future Trunks, Goku and Vegeta as she dragged them away to their hideout.

Goku and Vegeta wanted to fight Black first but they followed Mai to know more about what was happening in the future.

At that time. In a field filled with grass and flowers.

"You are right. It seems that they have followed me here." Black said as he held a cup of tea in his hand.

"You know what we have to do. Right?" Zamasu asked Black.

"Yes. To Increase my power so that I could fully get complete control of this surprisingly magnificent mortal body." Black replied.

Despite having a huge god complex Black was starting to warm up to the idea of having a mortal body just because of how much stronger he had gotten.

"Son Goku's body is powerful but remember a God's body is still superior and has its uses," Zamasu said to Black.

"Of course, I knew that. Why do you think I am working together with you?" Black said to Zamasu.

"If having the same goal is the only reason that was needed I would have gotten a Vegeta doppelganger that vowed to destroy the Saiyans instead of you. After all, he would still have been much more powerful than you," Black said.

Despite working together and being the same person, Black and Zamasu don't get along with each other.

That is because Black was starting to like his new body while Zamasu still sees Goku's body as filth.

In the present Timeline.

"Where are we going?" Marron asked Beerus.

She and Bra also tagged along with Beerus, Whis and Goten as they didn't have much to do at that time.

"We are going to a place where all the time in the multiverse is monitored," Whis replied.

"If only she was doing her job properly we would not have such a mess. Letting another Kai alter the history by time-hopping. Just ridiculous," Beerus said.

"The place where all the time in the multiverse monitored?" Goten asked as he was confused by Beerus's words.

"Such a place exists." He asked.

"It would have been troublesome if that place was located in any other place. But it is quite convenient that it was just around the edge of our universe," Beerus said while smiling.

They suddenly saw a huge round structure that was around the size of the moon not very far away from them.

"This is the place lord Beerus was talking about. The Time Nest." Whis said as they arrived at the location.
