Aiden's breath was heavy, his chest rising and falling as he took in the sight before him. Three Sentinels remained, but these were different. They moved in unison, their glowing red eyes tracking his every twitch. The way they adjusted their stance, how they anticipated his movement… they weren't just stronger.

They were learning.

One of them shot forward, moving with blinding speed, a streak of blue lightning crackling around its body.

Aiden barely had time to react.

"...This Damn.."

The Sentinel slammed a fist into his gut, electricity coursing through his body. His muscles spasmed, his vision blurred, and a strangled gasp left his lips.

"Damn, that was hard"

He forced his body to move, twisting just as the second Sentinel hurled a fireball at him. He barely dodged it, the heat singing his clothes as he skidded to a stop.

Then the third Sentinel phased through the ground.

Aiden's eyes widened.

"Shit!"

Too late, a solid, armored leg burst up from below, slamming into his ribs with bone-shattering force. The impact lifted him clean off the ground, pain flaring through his entire torso.

He barely had time to process it before the first Sentinel appeared above him, fists wreathed in lightning.

Aiden crossed his arms just as the attack connected, sending him crashing into the ground with an earth-shattering boom.

"Fuuuck!!"

A spray of blood erupted from his mouth, splattering onto the ruined asphalt. His ribs screamed in protest, and for a split second, his vision flickered.

'Think, think, THINK!'

He shoved down the pain, forcing his body up—just in time to see the second Sentinel charging. Its claws, coated in ice, were aimed straight for his throat.

Aiden's mind raced. 'No time to dodge.....a counter!'

He twisted his stance, shifting into Iron Dragon Mode. The moment its claws struck, iron scales coated his arms, taking the brunt of the blow.

The ice still bit into his flesh, but he grit his teeth through it, With a snarl, he drove his knee into the machine's gut, sending it staggering back.

The moment it faltered, Aiden inhaled sharply.

"Wind Dragon's Roar"

A torrential blast of wind erupted from his mouth, slamming into the Sentinel with enough force to send it tumbling across the battlefield.

Aiden landed on shaky legs, chest heaving. His body was on fire with pain, but he couldn't stop now.

The first Sentinel was already moving again, lightning crackling across its arms.

Aiden barely managed to leap aside, but the machine twisted mid-air, adjusting its trajectory instantly.

A fist wreathed in electricity slammed into his ribs.

CRACK.

Pain. Blinding, searing pain exploded through his side as he was launched across the battlefield, his body slamming through debris.

"Aghhh!!"

He skidded to a stop, coughing violently—blood splattered onto the ground. His arms trembled, barely able to hold himself up.

His breathing was ragged.

"I'm not gonna last at this rate... I need something...."

His eyes darted to the remains of a fallen Sentinel nearby—its scraps littered the battlefield.

"There we go"

Aiden pushed himself forward, ignoring the sharp pain in his chest.

The second Sentinel fired a fireball, but he ducked and rolled, barely avoiding the searing heat. He reached the wreckage and grabbed a twisted hunk of metal.

With no hesitation, he shoved it into his mouth, The moment his teeth crushed the steel, energy surged through his limbs.

His wounds knitted together just enough for him to stand properly again.

"Alright still in the game, Baby!"

The first Sentinel launched forward, a streak of electric blue cutting through the battlefield.

Aiden roared, magic crackling around his arms as he leapt to meet it, His fist, coated in hardened iron, collided with the Sentinel's head, The machine staggered, its metal dented inward.

Aiden didn't stop. He twisted mid-air, his leg snapping out in a spinning kick.

"Get Fucked"

The Sentinel flew backward, crashing into the ground, sparks flickering from its frame.

Aiden landed, panting. His magic was draining fast. But two still remained, His body shifted. Shadows coiled around his form, his breath coming out in a cold mist.

"Iron Shadow Dragon Mode"

The remaining Sentinels fired at once, blades of ice, bolts of lightning, fireballs but Aiden melted into the darkness.

He was a flicker of movement, a shadow between the chaos.

One of the Sentinels was caught off guard, Aiden reappeared behind it, His iron-clad claws gleamed under the dimming light.

"Iron Shadow Dragon's Roar—"

With a savage roar, he ripped through its frame, severing its core, creating a hole in it, The Sentinel collapsed, sparks flying from its remains.

Aiden turned toward the last one.

"You're Next!"

For the first time… a Sentinel hesitated, It's calculations were not able to keep up with the wide variety of abilities Aiden was using, this broke it momentarily

Aiden smirked. "Got you now"

He surged forward, vanishing into the shadows again before reappearing behind it. His claws were raised, ready to end this 

"Iron Shadow Dragon's Cla-" 

But

"I GOT YOU Now! BRAT!"

Aiden's entire body froze, An unseen force wrapped around his limbs, yanking him back mid-attack.

Agony.

Aiden's iron-clad limbs twisted unnaturally. His insides clenched, crushed, distorted, His breath hitched, His vision blurred. Blood poured from his nose, his mouth, his ears.

'What is this....Pain....' Suffered Aiden

Through the haze, he saw Magneto, The man was a wreck. His body was burnt, his face twisted in agony, But his rage burned hotter than anything else.

Aiden's brain screamed for a solution.

"I have to...."

With sheer, brutal willpower, he let go of his magic, dropping out of Iron Dragon Mode.

The second his body returned to flesh and blood, the magnetic force loosened....But the damage was done.

His organs were in ruins. His vision was dark.

And before he could even take a breath....The Sentinel fired a searing red laser that sent him flying, the laser grazed his upper chest and neck, creating a (/) shape, blood gushed as the force sent him flying!

His body crashed through metal and stone, skidding across the battlefield...The world spun.

He couldn't breathe.

Pain filled every fiber of his being.

Blood pooled beneath him.

His eyes flickered, darkness creeping at the edges of his vision.

And for the first time since the battle began…

Aiden wasn't sure if he could stand back up.
