Chapter 17: Chapter 17: The system's mission is just

[Achieved: Ravenclaw Arithmetic Question].

As soon as he entered the common room, Tom received a reminder that he had completed an achievement.

[Successfully answering Ravenclaw's door eagle arithmetic question, Reward: 40 magic stones]

Even though he hadn't been given another spell, it was still a good reward: he had only been given 40 magic stones for doing four tasks a day.

"Well done!" Robert patted Tom on the shoulder, and in his eyes this boy could be considered quite resourceful, as not many first-years from previous years could even answer questions, let alone answer them so quickly.

Ravenclaw wizards have a natural affinity for smart people, and Robert was no exception, he felt more comfortable with the tom in front of him.

The Ravenclaw common room was a large, circular room with an ethereal feel to it. The common room had elegant arched silken windows with blue and bronze coloring, through which Ravenclaw students should be able to gaze out at the mountains during the day. The vaulted ceiling was painted with stars and the dark blue carpet below. The hall was furnished with tables, chairs, and bookshelves, and a white marble statue stands in a niche in front of the door.

It is a statue of Rowena Ravenclaw.

The Ravenclaw's face was beautiful, but somewhat intimidating, with a sneer on her face. On her head is an elaborate ring, carved in marble, on which is engraved the tiny inscription, A limitless intelligence is a person's greatest treasure.

The common room was not very crowded, only a few older Ravenclaw students, who made no special gestures towards the new students entering, and seemed a bit indifferent.

Once all the new students entered the common room, Robert, the Prefect, gave a short speech welcoming the new students, "Congratulations, I am Prefect Robert Hilliard, and I welcome you to Ravenclaw house..."

After finishing his speech, Robert breathed a sigh of relief as he led the new students through the door behind the Ravenclaw statue to their dormitories, behind which were two corridors, the men's on the left and the women's on the right.

"Good night." Tom waved goodbye to Hermione and entered the left corridor.

He and the other five boys, Michael Corner, Anthony Goldstein, Terry Boot, Stephen Cornfoot, and Kevin Entwhistle, made their way to the freshmen dormitory, a neat and tidy room with six four-poster beds, covered with soft sky blue silk covers, and the wind blowing through the windows making people comfortable. Their trunks had been brought to them, and, lying placidly on the beds, the exhausted little wizards fell asleep as soon as their heads touched the pillows.

But Tom did not go to sleep. He looked at his system, and his emotions reeled. At this point, his magical world travel mission had completed three more locations, Hogwarts Hall and the Ravenclaw common room, which were understandable, but the third location was a most incredible one: the Ravenclaw boys' dormitory....

Generally speaking, the Ravenclaw boys' dormitory could be considered a point of record. But according to common sense, it's still too outrageous....

Male dorms can be a checkpoint, so are female dorms...?

If Ravenclaw's is okay, can the other three houses, and the dorms for students, and professors, be okay too?

Tom felt the system was encouraging him to do things. Think about it, there are only four locations to unlock for the third stage, but sixteen for the fifth! The next ones are thirty-two, sixty-four, one hundred and twenty-eight...

How to get it? This mission was getting more difficult as he progressed.

A bold idea occurred to him: if he could trick Dumbledore into installing a few other gender dorms, could he get the achievement? Like a transgender dorm, female-to-male but gay dorm, female-to-male but gender-aware dorm...

But he felt he shouldn't.

In addition to the change in his magical world travel quest progress, he also received a notification that the main quest had been unlocked.

[Chapter 1 of the main quest: The Stranger Who Caught the Wind: Go to the Room of Requirement after sunset and solve the puzzle]

[Reward: Unknown]

This is a very general description, and does not even say what the reward is. It was also strange that the assignment had to be completed after sunset, forcing him to travel at night and be a night wanderer, knowing that sunset in Scotland was late, usually not until after 8pm.

On second thought, today seemed like a good day to do it, the first day of school, the teachers had a lot to do, there was an opportunity, and he could take advantage of it to get the job done. Without further ado, he got out of bed, stood on his tiptoes, got dressed and went to the common room.

To his surprise, it was almost eleven o'clock and there was still someone in the common room!

The person was an acquaintance, none other than Hermione. She was wearing a pink robe, wrapped in a wizard's robe, and was sitting barefoot and huddled by the common room fireplace, a book spread out on her lap.

"What are you going to do?" Hermione was too excited to sleep on her first day at Hogwarts, so she went to the common room to read a book, but she hadn't even read a few pages when she heard footsteps and looked up to see Tom sneaking out of the dormitory, which made her suspicious.

"Ah, I'm going to the bathroom." Hermione's presence interrupted Tom's plans: he expected everyone to be asleep, but he hadn't expected there to be someone in the common room reading a book!

"Isn't the bathroom next to the dormitory?", Hermione's eyes filled with suspicion, and why did she have to dress so formally to go to the bathroom? Then her eyes widened and she realized that Tom was trying to go out for the night.

She put her book aside and stared at Tom angrily, "I can't believe you're doing this, Tom. I can't believe you're trying to sneak out! I thought the first rule of the school rules was that students were forbidden to leave the common room at night, do you know how many points will be deducted to the house for this?"

Tom thought about it for a moment and decided to tell her part of the truth, "Well, I have a lead on a secret place I want to explore; don't worry, it's safe."

"You should contact Professor Flitwick." said Hermione without contemplation, thinking that telling the professor was the best option in this situation.

"No." Of course Tom couldn't go to the professor, he refused Hermione's offer.
