Chapter 364: Ch-364: Hah, not again! (2)
"I'm sick of this drama. Everyone, just put on your Core Disciple robes," Bai Lingxi said with a sigh. The girls nodded, but before they could take out their badges and robes, the Inner Court disciple opened his mouth.
"What are you doing here, trash? How dare you sully this place with your presence?" he spat, glaring at Wang Ming, who was about to say something but was interrupted by the disciple.
'Oh no… looks like a scene is about to break out,' the girls thought. They weren't surprised by the outburst—Inner Court disciples often looked down on those from the Outer Court, and the one in front of them seemed particularly extreme.
The disciple reached out to grab Wang Ming by the shoulder, clearly intending to toss him out. But before he could, Wang Ming caught his wrist.
"Ahhh!" the girls near him heard the scream, followed by the sharp, unmistakable sound of bones cracking.
'Sigh, these arrogant pricks... Can't they just talk first before taking action?' Wang Ming sighed in irritation. Even though he enjoyed face-slapping moments, it still amazed him just how arrogant and ignorant people in the cultivation world could be.
In his past life on Earth, he'd met arrogant businessmen and politicians—people who would completely disdain and oppress those from lower backgrounds. But even they, when encountering someone new, would at least frown and inquire about the person before taking any action. In comparison, the people in this world were a bit too much.
'Well, might as well go and stir up some trouble,' Wang Ming thought with a shrug, his eyes settling on the disciple now groaning in pain. The disciple stood up, clutching his wrist, glaring at Wang Ming with a mix of pain and humiliation.
"I'm really sorry," Wang Ming said mockingly, "I didn't expect you to be so fragile that just grabbing your wrist would cause that much damage. And please—don't look at me with such intense, red, tear-filled eyes just because I pushed you. Even if you swing that way, I'm afraid I'm not interested in men."
The disciple's eyes, already red and sweaty from the pain, now looked like he was about to cry. As Wang Ming delivered his words with a deadpan expression, the disciple stumbled backward, nearly falling on his bottom. When Wang Ming's last words hit him, he coughed up a mouthful of blood and stared blankly at him.
'Sigh… his mouth is really venomous,' the girls thought, their lips twitching as they looked at the disciple with faint pity.
Moments later, rage overtook the disciple as he saw the surrounding disciples holding back laughter—or failing to—as they looked at him with ridicule.
"How dare you?!" the disciple roared furiously as he dashed toward Wang Ming, aiming to punch his head. But Wang Ming dodged with ease. This continued for a while, much to the disciple's growing frustration. The onlookers on the other hand watched them with amusement.
"Haha, that guy's an Inner Court disciple and he can't even land a hit on an Outer Court trash," sneered one of the Inner Court disciples who had come to the technique hall. His voice dripped with disdain toward Wang Ming and mockery toward the struggling disciple.
"Hah, I kind of feel ashamed because of him," said another Inner Court disciple, his voice laced with irritation and a faint murderous aura towards Wang Ming. To him, it was unacceptable for an Outer Court disciple to make a mockery of someone from the Inner Court.
"Have the Inner Court disciples dropped in quality since the last time I visited?" scoffed a Core Disciple nearby.
"Yeah, back in our time, there's no way an Outer Court disciple could even dare to contend with an Inner Court disciple. Looks like the standards have fallen," added another Core Disciple.
"But that Outer Court disciple is certainly talented," said a third Core Disciple, watching Wang Ming dodge effortlessly. Even he couldn't guarantee that he could've done what Wang Ming was doing when he was still in the Outer Court.
"He has potential. With the right resources, training, and effort, he could become a Core Disciple," commented another Core Disciple. No one disagreed. Even if they generally looked down on those outside their rank, they still recognized raw talent when they saw it.
"Let's head back to the peak. I'd rather cultivate than waste time watching a fight between two ants," said one of the Core Disciples. The others nodded in agreement.
They were the only Core Disciples present in the technique hall. Everyone watched them leave with reverence—after all, becoming a Core Disciple was every disciple's dream. For a moment, all eyes shifted from the brawl to the departing figures.
If those two Core Disciples had stayed just a few more minutes, they would've learned that Wang Ming was also a Core Disciple.
"Damn you, bastard!" the disciple glared at Wang Ming with even more hatred after hearing the mockery from the other Inner Court disciples. What frustrated him even more was that the Core Disciples had acknowledged an Outer Court disciple as being more talented than him—an Inner Court disciple. That stung his pride deeply and fueled his fury.
He drew a sword this time, his eyes flashing with a hint of killing intent. Wang Ming raised an eyebrow when he sensed it but didn't react much. Compared to his own killing intent, it was like comparing an ocean to a drop of water.
"Looks like you want to kill me, huh? I don't mind—many have tried before. But are you sure you want to do that here in the sect? You'll be expelled," Wang Ming said calmly. Killing a fellow disciple outside of an authorized death match meant severe punishment—expulsion at best, death at worst, depending on the elders' judgment.
"Heh… maybe I won't cripple your cutlivation. I'll just cripple you—cut off an arm or something," the disciple said, breaking into a cold sweat. But he quickly retracted his killing intent, realizing the consequences, and instead looked at Wang Ming with a mocking smile
