Dual System in Daily World

After Iroha came back from next door, she always looked a little absent-minded.

During lunch, she would suddenly stop using her chopsticks and focus her gaze on one point, as if she had thought of something wonderful, and she couldn't help but chuckle.

The same thing happened when she started studying again after eating. She would often do well on her assignments and then start to daydream. 

However, it didn't seem like she was completely emptying her mind; after all, her face was always smiling, which didn't fit the expression of someone who was truly dazed.

Anyone with a discerning eye could detect this situation. The reason for Iroha's behavior must have a lot to do with the boy she just met at the supermarket.

Even so, after hearing what Yukino said, Yui was a little concerned but still suppressed her curiosity and didn't ask again.

This situation changed around two o'clock in the afternoon during a break in their studies.

Iroha, holding the black tea that Yukino had brought to the table, took the initiative to ask Yui, "Yuigahama-senpai, have you ever been in love?"

Such a question startled Yui and also made Yukino, who was sitting next to her and browsing cat wallpapers on her mobile phone, look up.

"What! Why do you ask that all of a sudden?"

"Ah, it doesn't mean anything special; it's just a sudden whim."

Putting down the slightly hot black tea, Iroha placed her hands on her knees with a smile, narrowed her eyes slightly, and leaned closer to Yui.

"Because, Senpai, you have such a great personality, a wonderful figure, and you're so cute. You must have many love experiences."

"What! No! That's not true! This statement makes me feel like I'm some kind of loose woman!"

"I'm sorry, I misspoke, but it's true that Senpai is definitely popular with boys."

This statement was easier for Yui to accept than before. Facing Iroha's expectant eyes, she turned to look the other way.

"If you want to discuss the topic of popularity with boys, I think it would be better for you to ask Yukino-chan."

In Sobu High School, Yukino was indeed one of the few beautiful girls, which was a consensus among the girls, although a considerable number of people would not admit it openly.

"Why do you suddenly ask such a question?"

Yukino placed the lock screen of her phone on the coffee table. 

The soft gaze she had while looking at the cute cat wallpaper disappeared, replaced by her usual serious attitude when dealing with matters in the service department.

Iroha's earlier actions in the supermarket and her behavior after returning indicated an answer. 

Yukino could draw her own conclusions, but she still wanted to hear Iroha's answer to ensure the correctness of her guess.

"I don't have any special thoughts... I'm just curious. Since I haven't had a similar experience, I want to know more about it."

Facing Yukino, Iroha was obviously more reserved. This wasn't her fault; after all, this senior often presented an awe-inspiring and unapproachable demeanor.

"Isshiki-kun, do you want to become popular with the opposite sex?"

These words were quite tactful, even a bit sharp. 

However, since they had been getting along for a while, Iroha understood that this was Yukino's way of dealing with people. 

She wouldn't speak in a roundabout way like most girls but would be straightforward.

This straightforwardness could actually be seen as an advantage from another perspective; if one is honest, they avoid unnecessary intrigue. It's something one can get used to.

"…If I can, just a little bit," Iroha said, using her index finger and thumb to indicate a small gap.

Through her conversation with Yuigahama-senpai, Iroha was able to draw Yukinoshita-senpai into the discussion. 

From that point on, things went according to Iroha's expectations.

In fact, she wasn't the type of girl who liked to rely on others. She could handle many things on her own will and should be considered a proactive person among girls.

Just like when she first entered high school, she was attracted to a senior.

After that, she quickly learned specific information about him from others, joined his football club, and became the manager. 

She relied on her abilities to forge connections with the person she admired.

But now, Iroha was facing a situation that was difficult for her to resolve alone. 

She felt that her relationship with Chisato was too weak because of that strange dream, and she worried that the lack of follow-up progress would widen the distance between them, which was not what she wanted to see.

After the initial joy of meeting in the vast sea of people, she couldn't think of any way to meet Chisato frequently.

Therefore, she turned to outside help, hoping to get some advice from others.

Yukino may or may not have noticed Iroha's thoughts, but in any case, she acted very calmly, just as she usually did in the club.

"Isshiki-san wants to become popular with the opposite sex. Is this a request to me and Yui-san from the Service Club?"

When Yui heard this, she unconsciously smiled and looked at Iroha with anticipation.

Iroha blinked her big, cute eyes. She had only wanted to hear Yukino's thoughts but didn't expect the situation to turn into this so quickly.

If she gave a positive answer, the seniors, who were the clients, would definitely ask her to explain all the circumstances.

However, it seemed that it didn't matter since they were all girls, and Yukinoshita-senpai and Yuigahama-senpai were not the type to gossip.

Besides, Iroha could be vague about some important things. She just needed to give them a general understanding of the situation and seek their opinions on her circumstances.

After considering this for a moment, Iroha made up her mind and nodded timidly.

"Can I trouble you?"

"There's no problem at all. The service department was established to help others!"

Yui took Iroha's hand and shook it up and down for a moment. However, after two or three seconds, she suddenly remembered something and turned around with an apologetic smile.

"That's right, Yukino-chan."

Yukino seemed to be in a good mood; she smiled softly and said, "Yes, but today's study progress is a bit slow. It's best to finish the exercises before discussing your request."

"Good."

Iroha nodded in agreement; she thought the same.
