Chapter 248 Haunted museum Part 1
It had been a couple days since the Dungeon Raiders company started producing orichalcum but they were already reaping some of the benefits because, as promised by Nika, their first batch of orichalcum would be sold directly to the government.
Although they were forced to sell at their standard rate which was way lower than market value, the hefty sum they received gave them some leeway in terms of money.
Thanks to that, Uriel was able to buy Luna another plushie from his souvenir shop to bribe her into helping him hunt entity level cryptids, but he struggled to decide which one he should pick since he didn't want to give her another horned rabbit.
There were many different bug species and he ruled all of them out since he didn't like insects at all and he didn't want to see Luna holding those disgusting creatures all day.
The pigmy could have been a great choice, but the sour memory of his knife fight against one of them made him think against it. After killing so many different cryptids, his souvenir shop was well stocked in different species and he had plenty to choose from but, as expected, they were all unsightly and gross.
"Let's see, this one looks slightly less ugly than the rest." He said while staring at a black dog. "This thing brings me bad memories too... but then, they all do. All this things are disgusting, I don't know why Luna likes them so much."
"It's scientific curiosity, or so she says." Nika replied out of a sudden.
"What are you doing inside my trait!?"
"Huh? Recharging my flux energy, or do you think I enjoy spending so much time in here? There's nothing to do besides reading your dirty magazine, but there's not much to read there to begin with. Hey! I have an Idea, why don't you buy an antique bed or something so I can be more comfortable in here."
"Why would I? It's not like carrying a bed around would be of any use to me. I don't even need to sleep that much anymore."
"Beds aren't just for sleeping, you know?"
Now that Uriel was inside of his trait, his presence was merely ethereal and he could indulge in the sight in front of him all he wanted. Although Nika was usually an annoyance, he couldn't deny she was quite beautiful.
"Stop staring at my butt, will you? I can sense you're doing it."
"As expected from a heavenly rank hunter." Uriel said, without stopping. Though more than allured he was just curious, he couldn't understand why but whenever he was inside his trait Nika was simply a beautiful girl, but whenever he met her outside he felt flustered.
"Geez! Being stared at feels similar to when someone directs hostility towards me. I don't mind if you take a peek from time to time, but you do this all the time and it's starting to creep me out."
"Wait a second, I'm doing it now, but I think this is the first time I do it inside my trait."
"No way, I can always feel you looking at me! Unless..." Nika was struck with the realization that there might me something else lurking inside Uriel's museum and she gulped down in fear.
"I'm not lying if that's what you're thinking."
"That's not it. Remember our last talk about possessions, I think the Water witch dude might be here somewhere."
"I use my trait all the time, but I've never seen him. Maybe you should explore the other rooms and try to catch him."
"I don't want to have anything to do with witchcraft." Nika said crossing herself.
"He's a warlock, not a witch. Besides, I don't believe in magic, I think it's just a political hierarchy title."
"Whatever, I'm out!" Nika said as she exited Uriel's trait and came out from his shadow.
Uriel remained inside the museum trying to choose a plushie, while outside his body remained completely still with his eyes closed. Nika looked at his silky smooth skin, his thin but cute lips and his handsome face. Soon enough she found herself thinking that Uriel was almost as handsome as Sam was and the only reason why girls didn't pursue him was because of his dead cold eyes.
She drew closer to him in order to steal a kiss from him, but from within his trait Uriel could feel something was off and exited while carrying a random plushie outside.
"What do you think you're doing? This is assault?" Uriel scolded her.
"It's your fault for leading me on all this time." She said as she turned to leave, a soft smile was drawn on her face when she felt Uriel's gaze on her as she exited the room.
"What is this thing?" Uriel looked at the plushie of a beautiful winged snake with colorful feathers.
It was the exact copy of one of the cryptids that guarded one of the stairs in Chichén Itzá, the one he killed with a headshot to be more precise.
"Luna? I got something for you." Uriel said after knocking on her door.
"Is it a plushie?" She asked while keeping just a small slit of the door open.

"Yes, don't you think it's cute?"
"Uhm," Luna opened opened the door and started sniffing the stuffed cryptid, but instead of a faint spile a frown appeared on her face. "no, it smells funny." She then closed the door, leaving Uriel as shocked as he was curious.
He sniffed the plushie from all sides, but to him it smelled like nothing and there was nothing weird about it. It was kind of cute and it was soft to the touch, but he had no use for it and was about to throw it in the garbage but it felt like a waste considering how expensive it was.
Fortunately for him, he was able to put it away inside his trait and he figured there was no harm in doing so.
