chapter 15
Title: Current Hidden Story Classes Summary
Posted by: [Bia] MockExam
The common pattern for Hidden Stories so far is that, unlike the normal storyline, you’re accompanied by your class NPC.
(NOTE: Holy Guardian is an exception—they always go with their class NPC, even in the normal storyline!!!!!)
Jeopa Medic = accompanied by Adam
Bia Priest = accompanied by Sortini
Jeopa Warrior = accompanied by Kaian
Bia Assassin = accompanied by Kirish
The Assassin storyline is entirely different, so it was easy to spot right away—but I won’t post spoilers here.
As for Holy Guardian, they always seem to go with Esel (Jeopa) or Howa (Bia), so it’s unclear if not having an NPC accompany you is the actual Hidden Story in their case?
At first, we thought maybe only one person per class per server could access it, but with Retaking and another Jeopa Medic both seeing the hidden version on Server 3, that can’t be the case.
There must be a trigger condition.
That’s all we’ve figured out so far—everyone’s still mid-quest.
I’ll keep this updated if we find anything new!
And if you did trigger the Hidden Story, please record it and upload it to YouTube!

Best comment: I was so hyped about going with my class NPC, but then found out Holy Guardian is the one exception 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
└ Same here 😭
└ /F
└ Wait, that rhymed. Kinda funny
Thanks for compiling!
But still, it sucks they didn’t announce anything about Hidden Stories. They didn’t even tell us what conditions are needed…
└ I’m thinking it’s closer to an easter egg than an official feature.
└ Agreed
└ +1
└ It’s the main quest, though. Easter egg? That’s kind of weird
I saw the Hidden Story as a Medic… but other than going with the NPC, it really wasn’t that different 😭
└ [OP] Any idea what the trigger condition could be?
└ None at all… Even compared with my friend, nothing stood out as a trigger…
Reading that the Holy Guardian usually does go with their class NPC in the standard story made me think I probably wasn’t on the Hidden Story path. But then I saw the part that said, “Strangely, Holy Guardians go with Howa even in the normal storyline…”—and I immediately took that back.
In my story, Howa had received emergency orders and left for another continent. I was partnered with Abrea instead. That was clearly different from the usual plot.
Thinking back, when I got to Atelierna Wisha Base following the prompt to find Howa, I saw a crowd of players all clustered around getting quests ~Nоvеl𝕚ght~ from him—but I didn’t get anything. Then I was suddenly told to go see Abrea, and at his fountain, I was the only Holy Guardian there—aside from some AFK players.
It had been so empty that I just stood there taking screenshots.
It had to be the Hidden Story. I had no idea what triggered it, but I was definitely one of the lucky few who got it.
Curious if there was more info, I checked other posts. Most were people expressing jealousy that they got the standard story, or speculating about what the trigger could be. Some tried piecing together clues from partial reveals.
Then I saw a newer post titled:
“Hidden Story Atmosphere, Damn…”

Watching Retaking’s stream and suddenly the BGM fades out—only wind sounds are left…
Then the system says the flow of air has changed, tells you to rejoin your NPC…
But the quest still says to investigate.
When did Dusk become a horror game? Is this a summer horror special? Because I am no longer hot...

– That doesn’t happen in the standard story, right? What even is this Hidden Story??
└ [OP] I have no idea either… Wish someone would just upload a full playthrough already
– lmao seeing Retaking get scared actually warmed my heart
└ [OP] You’re insane 😂 But honestly true. So cute~
Retaking got scared?
He was someone who didn’t even flinch during horror games. The thought that I missed that rare moment made me panic a little. I rushed to move my mouse to the sub-monitor to pull up his stream.
But before I could even open it, I had to stop. A cutscene started playing in-game—totally out of nowhere, right in the middle of the marketplace.
[- Helkina: “Commander!”]
My character turned around at the sudden call. I didn’t recognize the voice, but the name in the dialogue box said it was Helkina—Aideas’s leader for this joint investigation.
[- Helkina: “Perfect timing. Please talk some sense into Cadet Abrea. At this rate, we’re either all going to die or get kicked out of the Secret Passage.”]
Helkina urgently grabbed my character’s arm and dragged me to the side, toward the mineral shop. There, a crowd of curious Eunseo Tribe NPCs had gathered, ears perked.
Pushing through the cluster, I finally saw what was going on—Abrea was locked in a tense standoff with a Jeopa soldier. Between them sat a mineral glowing faint lavender. His ivory wings were slightly unfurled and twitching, radiating tension.
[- Helkina: “He suddenly got interested in a rare ore being sold here and said he was going to investigate it. Then he ran into that Jeopa Medic, and now they’re staring each other down. That in itself is fine—we knew there was a chance of running into the other faction, and there’s a protocol for that. But the problem is that Medic.”]
The camera panned to the Jeopa Medic. He had short black hair with a hint of red, and his high-saturation violet eyes were framed by sclera tinged in a soft reddish hue. A beautiful Jeopa character—the opposite of Abrea in appearance—stood calmly, seemingly unaffected by Abrea’s fury.
He looked like a cold adult watching a child throw a tantrum without a shred of sympathy.
[- Helkina: “You might’ve heard of him—his name’s Adam. He commands the Jeopa Aideas forces. And he’s a complete lunatic. The fact that someone like him moved personally means they’re just as invested in this phenomenon as we are.”]
[- Helkina: “Thankfully, he seems to remember the rules of the passage, so he hasn’t acted out… yet. But if someone throws a punch, it’ll escalate instantly. You know how temperamental our people are.”]
[- Helkina: “If Cadet Abrea throws the first punch, Adam might retaliate under the pretense of self-defense. If that nutjob unleashes one of his bioweapons, it’s over. We cannot let him release another virus.”]
She grimaced and rubbed her temple like she had a migraine. Since I often watched Retaking’s storylines from the Jeopa side, I knew exactly why she was freaking out.
Adam was infamous for launching devastating viruses when offended—ones only he could cure, killing everything in a wide area.
He didn’t start out that way. Early on, he was a devoted Medic like any other—studious, reverent of life, fascinated by the principles of the world. But at some point in the plot, he reached a terrible revelation about the truth of the world, and that epiphany broke him. What remained was a cynical, cold-blooded figure—a dark sage corrupted by his own enlightenment.
[- Helkina: “I don’t know what he sensed in that mineral, but he’s determined to analyze it. I tried stopping Abrea until you arrived, but he wouldn’t listen.”]
It wasn’t written in the script, but I could swear the voice actor muttered, “That damned bastard…” as an ad-lib.
Honestly, I cracked up. That really was Abrea.
My character nodded and started walking toward him. The moment I got close, Abrea noticed my presence and turned his eyes toward me, opening his mouth to speak.
