DxD: I Steal Luck

Chapter 34: Chapter 34: The Legendary Blue Ribbon

On the street, although night has fallen, it is still brightly lit.

Blake walked on the road, scanning the crowd around him, which seemed a little sparse. Different races were walking and chatting together. He couldn't help but raise his eyebrows and pondered.

This world is close to the mythological era in Western legends. Elves, dwarfs, orcs, Amazons, and all races with fantasy styles exist.

And this city is the labyrinth city - Orario.

This is a huge city built on the labyrinth of the "underground city".

In this city, there is an organization called the Guild as the manager of this city.

With the Guild that manages this city and the huge labyrinth called the Underground City as the core, there are people from all over the world and all races living here, including humans, and it is a thriving city.

That is Orario.

The so-called Underground City refers to a super large labyrinth located underground in Orario.

It is a place with a complex and changeable environment, and it produces ferocious species called monsters that are hostile to humans and are extremely dangerous.

The Guild, at the center of this city, controlled the dangerous labyrinth, encouraging people from all over the world and different races to explore it and fight against the monster threats that endangered humanity.

And those who explored the labyrinth and lived off the goods they obtained from it were commonly known as adventurers.

Whether elves, beastmen, halflings, amazons, or humans, as long as they explored the Dungeon, they were considered adventurers.

The burly man Blake had encountered earlier, though of poor character, was also an adventurer.

Of course, in Orario, not only did people from different races live together, but gods from the heavens also resided here.

They are transcendent beings who descended from the heavens over a thousand years ago, beings beyond human intellect. They are the source of the "blessings" granted to the residents of the lower world.

Bored with the monotony of life in the heavens, these beings began to intervene in the lower world with a playful attitude, descending onto this land. They established rules prohibiting the use of their Aether energys and chose to live in the lower world in a state similar to ordinary people.

In other words, these gods are a group of transcendent beings who prioritize their own entertainment, experiencing all things in the lower world as if they were playing a game. They have no other purpose but to enjoy life as the inhabitants of the lower world do.

Food, interests, friendships, art, and even getting sick, the gods enjoy all of these aspects of life that are exclusive to the inhabitants of the lower world, and they do so enthusiastically, as if engaged in a game.

To eat, drink, and have fun, these gods, who have sealed their own powers, grant a power called "blessings" to the inhabitants of the lower world, allowing them to join their ranks and form factions.

This faction is called a "Familia."

In simple terms, it's a faction built around a particular god.

What the "Familia" does depends on the tendencies of the god at its center. Some focus on exploring the Dungeon, others on business, some on farming, and others have established huge nations. Their scope and nature vary greatly. There is no end to the diversity.

No matter the race, once a person joins a god's "Familia," they must work for that god. The god grants the "blessings" that allow members to transform from ordinary people with no strength into heroes and powerful individuals capable of battling monsters, growing stronger as they train or kill monsters.

As a result, many people, under the blessings of various gods, join different "Familias" to meet fellow adventurers, trade, entertain, or even engage in combat.

This is the state of the world.

Not only in Orario, but all over the world, there are gods and their "Familias," though they are fewer in number compared to Orario, which has the Dungeon.

"A Familia, huh? If it weren't for a virgin loli goddess like Hestia existing, even with the 'blessings' power, I wouldn't join any Familia. Being someone else's subordinate doesn't feel good, especially with these gods who treat playing around as their top priority."

After sorting through some thoughts, Blake muttered to himself. With his plundering system as a cheat, the blessings would merely be an aid for him to grow stronger, but he wouldn't join any of those quirky gods' Familias to be a lackey.

"Though, this world isn't bad at all," Blake looked up at the distant tower and sighed in admiration.

"Ahh——!"

At that moment, a soft voice suddenly broke Blake's train of thought. He felt a soft body collide with his chest.

"Are you okay...?"

Coming to his senses, Blake saw the girl falling towards the ground under the moonlight and quickly grabbed her delicate hand, steadying her.

[Bang——!]

However, in the next instant, Blake clearly saw the girl's face, and his expression froze. His body halted, and he was dragged down with the girl, falling together. Their bodies made close contact.

Not only was Blake in a rather ambiguous position on top of the girl, but their lips also met due to the unexpected fall!

"Mmm—mm—mm——!"

The girl, with blue eyes similar to Blake's, looked at him in shock, her lips taken by the silver-haired youth. She let out an embarrassed sound, struggling fiercely and slapping his body.

"How dare someone violate a goddess like this, how bold."

"Yeah, truly a brave one."

Passersby stopped and watched with strange expressions, but from their muttering, it was clear that the girl under Blake was a goddess!

"...Are you alright?"

Blake, suppressing his inner turmoil, managed to keep a calm expression, apologizing as he got up and extended his hand to help the girl up.

If one observed closely, they could notice the joy and admiration in Blake's blue eyes.

It was all because of the girl's beauty and identity.

She was a beautiful young goddess.

She looked around fourteen or fifteen years old, with glossy black hair tied into twin tails reaching down to her waist. Her small round face gave her an innocent, youthful appearance.

Although she had the appearance of a young girl, she possessed an astonishingly mature figure, which made one question their own eyes.

And most importantly, Blake's attention was drawn to the blue ribbon tied around her arm, which was clearly the legendary blue ribbon of the Dungeon!

Yes, the goddess before him was none other than the one Blake had most been looking forward to meeting in Orario—Hestia!

It was because of her that this world, in his previous life, was called the "Dungeon Blue Ribbon" world. The term "blue ribbon" had captured the imaginations of young people, making them yearn to untie the ribbon that caused their hearts to flutter!

Though Blake usually kept his composure, he never expected their meeting to happen in such a manner, with him stealing Hestia's first kiss!
