DxD: I Steal Luck

Chapter 38: Chapter 38: The Goddess's Dispute

"Hope I don't get discovered."

Blake sighed and turned his face away. It wasn't that he wasn't willing to take responsibility. If it was just Ais, he could simply apologize. But with Loki, who had a pathological obsession with Ais, around, she would definitely cause a mess here.

However, the more one tries to avoid something, the more trouble it brings.

With a helpless expression, Blake watched as Loki, seeming to discover a new toy, smiled and walked toward Hestia.

"Hey, little virgin goddess, what are you doing here at the guild? Shouldn't you be at Hephaestus' place, eating and drinking for free?"

"What did you say?!"

Hestia was stunned for a moment before turning around, gritting her teeth and glaring at Loki. This person was constantly opposing her, she found him utterly infuriating.

"Hmph, I'm here to apply for a familia."

After a pause, Hestia proudly declared.

"Oh? A familia, huh? Looks like you finally tricked someone into joining, huh?"

Loki said with a sly smile.

"I didn't trick him! Blake knew about my familia before joining!"

Hestia said angrily.

"Mm?"

At this moment, Ais seemed to have noticed something, her golden pupils slowly moving toward the rear-right. There, a silver-haired youth was slowly approaching.

"It's him."

Ais' faint voice made Loki, who was arguing with Hestia, freeze. She quickly looked over, her narrowed eyes opening slightly, revealing a captivating glint.

"Silver hair, blue eyes, Ais Carbon, he's the guy you met yesterday, isn't he?"

Loki said in a low voice. She had come to the guild to issue a bounty, but to her surprise, the prey was right here.

"Hehehe, this is my first family member, Blake!"

As Loki and Ais exchanged looks of surprise, Hestia quickly pulled the somewhat awkward Blake in front of her and proudly said,

"Oh, I didn't expect the one who spied on my Ais taking a bath to be your family member, Hestia. That's really annoying!"

Seeing Hestia's smug expression, Loki spoke coldly,

"Spying? Don't slander people. After Blake met me yesterday, we went back to Hephaestus' house to give him a 'falna.' How could an ordinary person spy on Ais the Sword Princess bathing? And still walk out unscathed from your Loki Familia!"

"Loki, even if you dislike me, at least come up with a good excuse! Don't slander my Blake, I won't stand for it!"

Upon hearing this, Hestia froze for a moment, then said angrily. Despite her usual cute and lazy appearance, Hestia was still a goddess, and her intelligence was naturally high. She just didn't like to show it.

"Ordinary person?"

Loki froze and then looked at the helpless Blake in disbelief.

"Just an ordinary adventurer? Do you expect me to believe that?! This guy fought Ais from my Familia and came out unscathed! Even if he's a new adventurer, there's no way he could match Ais, who stands at the peak of Orario!"

"Ordinary person..."

Ais, however, looked at Blake with curiosity and didn't seem to blame him. The two exchanges of blows from last night were still vivid in her mind. If Blake were truly an ordinary person, she would love for him to teach her how to fight.

"Hey, hey, little brother, are you really a newbie adventurer?"

While Loki and Hestia were glaring at each other, a lively voice rang out, and two sisters directly grabbed Blake's arms.

The one on his left arm, with healthy tan skin and a carefree personality, was wearing a dancer-like outfit with a thin cloth covering her chest and a long skirt wrapped around her waist, exposing her slender body.

The one on his right arm was a girl with waist-length hair, a more refined and calm demeanor, and a similar appearance to the first girl. They were clearly twins, and from their looks and temperament, it seemed the first one was the more playful younger sister, while the latter was the more composed older sister.

"Well, hmm."

Blake smiled wryly, but he didn't have the mind to enjoy the attention from the Amazon sisters because Hestia was practically burning with jealousy.

"What are you two doing? Let go of my Blake!" In the next moment, Hestia, overcome with jealousy, quickly yanked the two Amazon sisters away, wrapping her arms around Blake to claim him as her own.

"Hey, silver-haired kid, are you really a newbie adventurer?" Loki seemed to have thought of something interesting, and instead of continuing to ask about the spying incident, she looked meaningfully at Blake.

"I'm not a kid. My name is Blake."

Blake looked at Loki indifferently and replied calmly.

"I can vouch for that. Yesterday, Hestia and I were present when Blake and I first met," a half-elf girl in a uniform emerged from the crowd and spoke with a soothing, pleasant voice.

"This voice..."

Blake looked at the girl, raising an eyebrow in confusion. Her face seemed familiar, and the voice sounded almost identical to the one that had given him a heartfelt warning the night before.
